Was craving pizza and wanted to try a new place this day (real adventurous I know...). For parking there's a CVS lot nearby if you're really sneaky (there's no room to double park on the street) which is convenient (unless you have a South End parking permit). The interior is definitely a no thrills type of establishment and is NOT air conditioned (which can be a problem during a particularly hot day). I ordered a custom pizza and was out the door in about 15-20 minutes. In regards to the pizza I got (pineapple, jalapeno, bacon and onion) it wasn't bad but nothing spectacular. The sauce was pretty good but the whole pizza was a bit soggy and there was cheese falling everywhere when trying to eat it. Crust was so-so. We also got a garden salad that came with a piece of bread which was... also okay (I mean it is salad...) The owner was nice and the pizza (the one I had anyways) was okay. Perfectly acceptable but nothing phenomenal.

Small black olive, eggplant, sausage light sauce well done! Mmmmmmmm!!!

My husband and I started going to Pizza Stop when I was an impatient at Boston Medical Center about a year ago. We asked the nurses where to get pizza that was good and flat out everyone said to go to Pizza Stop! During my long stay at BMC we must have ordered from them 5 or 6 times, the pizza is AMAZING!!!!! This pizza is GREEK STYLE pizza and the crust is Greek Style, crunchy, thin, cooked in a pan and if you are are a crust lover like I am, this is the place for you! If you are looking for hand tossed and stretched Italian Style pizza, you might not like it here but "don't yuck on my yum"! A few months later I found out I have Stage 4 Metestatic Cancer in my Kidney and lymph nodes, and in the area again but at a different hospital.in the Longword area. Happily in one of my first nights in town we order our favorite pizza in all our Boston and when my husband went in, the owner remembered him! My Husband told him I was pretty sick and he made us a huge piece of fried dough with sugar, cinnamon, and powdered sugar on it and told him to bring it to me! No charge! I thought that was great he remembered us and even greater he sent me a little treat! It was not the cost of the fried dough, it was the kind gesture that really touched me! I'm back in the hospital again And nearly died on the OR Table last week, but thankfully made it out of a critical situation when I ended up having zero kidney function and now that I can eat FOOD, tonight we will be ordering a large, light sauce, sausage, Black Olive and Eggplant pizza, well done and some onion Rings ( thick yummy beer battered), fries and a sub to split, probably steak and cheese after reading all the reviews here on Yelp! I can't wait!!!!!

Custom made M&O. Extra Sauce, Lite cheese, and well done. Perfectly yumalicious! Ty Stephen!

Stephen runs a great restaurant. He always makes sure my food is prepared the way I like it. We live right around the corner and I eat here often. The subs are fresh and tasty. I like the grilled chicken. The pizzas are really good too and they also sell slices. I just tried the steak tips with rice and salad last night and they were good. Marinated and tasty. Sausage Pizza A+, if you like real sausage and not that balled Papa Johns crap, this is your pizza.

    Kinda disturbing.

So I guess I'm ordering from them too many times now since the delivery driver was hella late with my food, he almost forgot my pizza and When I open the box the marinara sauce was spilt almost everywhere. I'll forgive you guys but please don't Let this unprofessionalism happen again. Thanks.

    Chicken wings without breading

Ordered to go here because I was starving. We ordered chicken wings and a buffalo finger salad. We didn't have to wait long for our food! They make pretty awesome salads! I'm not a bit fan of salads, although there's looked especially good! It had olives, tomatoes, cucumbers, carrots, a huge peperoncino pepper, and lettuce of course! The buffalo fingers were just perfect for the salad, add a different kind of crunch! We got a side of pita bread and these cute buns that they made with extra pizza dough! SO CUTE! The people who work there have always been very nice and I have not had a bad experience yet with them. The wings were awesome! I had the option of having them breaded or not, which I liked. I've always preferred my wings fried without being breaded. The one not so great part was the fact that I got a few very small pieces of wings, which probably would count as half a wing lol. They literally looked like they were missing half of itself lol. But they still counted them in as one. I didn't mind because by the time I was nearly done, I was already stuffed. I've had their pizzas before, but nothing too extraordinary...just pizza lol. Overall, a great place for food if you are hungry or need food fast!

So far I tried there pastrami sub and it was very good. I should've got Mayo on it but other than that it was bomb.com a lot of meat in that sub. I wish they would wrap up the sub to keep it warm. Instead of just putting it in a styrofoam.

The philosophy here is simple: handmade pasta, fresh seafood, and the kind of lively trattoria energy that makes you feel like you wandered into something real rather than something staged for tourists. We walked into a small, intimate space that feels authentically old North End, with street level seating and a downstairs dining room that fills up fast on most nights. The energy when it gets loud and busy only adds to the warmth of the room, making the meal feel more fun rather than overwhelming. If you are looking for a quiet, candlelit dinner, timing your visit carefully or requesting a window table upstairs is worth doing. The vibe otherwise is bustling and inviting, the kind of place where the noise level actually enhances the experience. The pasta is where things really shine. The truffle mushroom ravioli is outstanding, the kind of dish that stays with you, and the lobster diavolo has real depth and kick to it. The seafood plate, loaded with scallops, shrimp, sea bass, salmon, lobster, and calamari over fettuccine alfredo, is a serious undertaking in the best possible way. The zucchini flowers are delicate and worth ordering if they are available. Bread comes to the table, and the drinks are solid. On the flip side, some of the simpler pasta dishes can feel under seasoned compared to the more composed plates, and the pricing reflects the neighborhood, so you are not walking out cheap. Service is generally warm and attentive, with a mix of staff that has that authentic Italian restaurant feel. The pacing moves at a good clip, sometimes a little fast, but the energy of the room makes it work. For a North End dinner that delivers on homemade pasta and fresh seafood without trying too hard to be anything other than what it is, Trattoria Il Panino is a solid pick. Reservations are a good idea.

I will say it felt a little commercialized, which was disappointing, but overall we still had a good experience. The service was quick and the food came out within 10 minutes of ordering. We really enjoyed the tortellini, although it didn't have as much truffle flavor as expected. The veal was the standout; a huge portion, perfectly crispy on the outside, and incredibly tender. One downside: they don't offer dessert or coffee, which was disappointing, especially at this price point. Overall, it was good, but I'd probably explore some other restaurants before returning.

Portions are just right in my opinion. Everything tasted fresh. Started arancini and bruschetta - both were tasty! Chicken parm with house-made pasta hit all the right notes. Shrimp scampi was very good, not overly garlicky, good size shrimp. Chicken risotto came with a generous portion of risotto and chicken cutlets in a marsala sauce. Saved room for dessert amazingly, and couldn't pass up the cranberry bread pudding, which was fantastic. Perfect balance of sweet and tart, with vanilla gelato to tie it all together. Will definitely return in the future to sample other menu items.

When we first arrived, the restaurant was fairly quiet. As we settled in, though, there was a steady stream of people stopping in for drinks, and by the time we were leaving, the place had noticeably filled up. The crowd seemed to be mostly locals, and I got the sense that many of them were regulars working their way through the menu one visit at a time. That's always a good sign. We started with a salad that was beautifully prepared. It wasn't overdressed, just lightly tossed with a delicious vinaigrette that let the ingredients shine. For our mains, the chicken parm was excellent--crispy, flavorful, and comforting without feeling heavy. The gnocchi was equally impressive. The dumplings were tender and pillowy, and the pesto tasted incredibly fresh, as if it had just been made that day. It's a simple dish when done well, and this version was done very well. I'd order it again and again.
