Well let's start off by saying that I have tried a LOT of breakfast places in the valley. Some great, some good, some not so good. This falls in the last category. Coffee was distinctly flavored with bottom of an ashtray flavor. Undrinkable. I had the eggs Benedict something I don't make at home, so it's a treat to order out. It was sub par. And the side of potatoes tasted as if the potatoes has sat around for many moons. My son ordered the pancake, eggs and bacon combo. The eggs were very underdone. The pancakes, although a generous portion, were very tough. I was sad to spend my money here when there are so many places that blow this out of the water. I will not be back. read more

When walking into the restaurant to pick up our to go order, I was not greeted by the front cashier or even acknowledged. We had a pretty big brunch order and the waitress that brought our order to me was not very nice either and had a bit of an attitude when taking my card out of my hand. We were disappointed that the food was cold given we had picked up within the 15 minutes it was going to be ready and the hash browns were bland. I LOVE The Place. We chose to go on a Saturday morning, so of course there was a wait of 25-40 minutes. However, they text you when your table is ready and you can even track how many tables are ahead of you through Yelp. So that's cool and made up for the long wait time. The only reason I'm giving 4/5 stars is the price. The food is AMAZING! But the price goes up more and more every time I come. I've been coming to the place since I was in high school when it was located across the street. Knowing it's going to cost $50 for my family of 4 to have breakfast there always lurks in the back of my head and makes me reconsider coming at all. read more

The staff was great, BUT, I called in an order for take out for 5 people, and I was irritated to learn upon pick-up that I was charged for the to-go boxes my food came in?!? Really? I have never experienced this and the fact that it was almost a $3.00 charge should have been mentioned during my order placement on the phone. I never know about tipping with to-go, but I always do even though I believe the tip should be reserved for the person who is serving your sit-down meal. So I had to spend almost an additional $10.00 to pick up the food. I will not go back to this location. Over rated. We went for breakfast on a Friday morning and it was pretty fast to get seated for a group of 6. There are plenty of breakfast options to choose from. The portions are big and the food is decent. I got the hungry man special and was able to switch the toast option for gluten free toast. So it's a definitely a plus that they have gluten free bread options. read more

Went here on my lunch only day off to get a beer and breakfast. I don't drink bud light or anything like that. So I asked for a ipa or hazy ipa and she said the taps aren't working right now. Great place and never disappointed here. Food was awesome and the portions are huge. Service was also spot on. I used the Yelp feature to save a spot in line before driving over which saved a long wait. If you are going on a weekend or holiday, that's a must otherwise you will have a 30-45 min wait for a table if you walk in an get on the list. Lots of staff working and all very attentive to customers. I've been to both locations (Phoenix and Flagstaff) and both are solid choices for a meal at any day part. read more

Review of breakfast only. Meal: coffee with the Griddle meal and a cup of fruit The coffee and fruit were the only things I liked. I asked if I was allowed to replace the meat with a cup of fruit (which is cheaper than a side of meat) and was told that there are no substitutes and the fruit would be an additional charge. The meal came with a full stack of French toast and hash browns for only 9$, which is a good deal for the amount of food. The hash browns were soggy on the inside and undercooked along with being particularly bland. The French toast was the worst I have ever had and I don't say that often. It was egg bread that had been cooked on a skillet. That's it. There was no seasoning unless you count the dusting of powdered sugar. I could not force myself to finish them. Also, any restaurant that has a charge for sharing food upsets me. However, our waitress was great and very friendly, hence the second star. There is usually a wait every time we go but they move people pretty quick in and out of there. On Mother's day there was 3 of us and we all ate for $26. This place is my favorite breakfast, cheap and delicious. The past two times i have been have been close to a horrible experience! First i get a server that raises his voice and disrespect because he couldn't read my license correctly. Second i come with my sister and boyfriend, mine and her orders were messed up completely (wrong sides) on both plates. Been here a couple times. Always suggested by someone else in our family. Food is good, but lacking that"wow" factor. Biscuits are huge and fluffy more like a yeast roll. Gravy is pretty watery and lacks flavor. Someone recommended sharing because portions are huge, just be prepared to pay $1.50 fee because you are splitting. Oh, and should you need ranch for anything you will be charged .90 for a 2oz portion. I really hate to leave this kind of review, but I think it needs to be said for improvement purposes. I figure if you don't know, your business can't improve. Anyways, my family and I have been here about ten times since we found out about this place about 3 months ago. It has absolutely fabulous food every time, and our waiter or waitress has always been great. Until yesterday.... My husband asked to add bacon to his mushroom swiss burger, and it didn't get put on there. I ordered a veggie sandwich and I added bacon. It was good, but had a hair in it. I didn't finish it and was grossed out. Then we ordered breakfast for our kids, and we had no silverware, no napkins, and we had to ask a near by waiter for those things. Our waitress was busy talking to a table of guys, while we were waiting to tell her what we didn't have. Ugh, it was very disappointing to say the least. My husband and I never complain about things, and are very patient but on the way home we both talked about how we won't be coming back here for a while. Also, we went three Sunday's in a row and we were there around 1 - 2p.m every time, and I noticed that different workers kept coming by and wanting to refill our sugar, salt, and pepper, etc... I realize they close at 3 p.m, but it was annoying for them to keep bothering us while we were trying to enjoy our lunch. I think they need to stop doing that, even though I know the workers are trying to close and get out of there by 3, but I think it's rude, and they need to wait until 3 when their restaurant closes. Or don't bother the people that are eating and just change out the condiments at tables that have no customers. Anyways, hope they improve. Would like to go again some day down the road. read more
