The scenery was the best part of this restaurant. The food was average and not worth the price. The filet came out cold, the chicken was dry, and the poke was incredibly salty. Service was good but the food was a miss for me.

Came to Maui on a trip and visited here with my mom, and it ended up being one of our favorite dining experiences. The view was absolutely stunning, overlooking the golf course! We arrived right around sunset, and honestly wished we had come a little earlier to fully take it in. Such a gorgeous setting. The service was amazing. Our server was incredibly kind and kept offering us more bread (which I happily accepted because it was that good). The bread came with chive butter that was so flavorful, and the bread itself was warm and delicious. There was also live music, which made the ambience even better--just an all-around beautiful place to relax and enjoy a meal. Bonus points for free valet, which made parking super easy. For food, we got the macadamia nut crusted mahi mahi, which was really good, slightly on the sweeter side, but still flavorful. The Hawaiian short ribs were a standout for me: super tender, perfectly cooked, and just packed with flavor. We also ordered the panko crusted calamari, which I loved. The pieces were thick, juicy, and had a light, crispy coating that wasn't greasy at all, really easy to eat. Portions were also very decent. I also saw their breakfast menu and now I definitely want to come back to try it soon!

Super good view and we got seated quickly with reservations. Our server was super nice and quick. I had the shrimp scampi and it was super good and creamy. My sister had the Hawaiian short rib and it was very tender with yummy garlic mashed potatoes. The calamari was super good and tender. Overall would recommend.

Beautiful views, incredible food, and surprisingly family-friendly! While visiting Maui, we made a reservation at The Plantation House, and it ended up being one of our favorite meals of the trip. The setting alone is stunning--overlooking the Kapalua golf course with gorgeous ocean views--but the food absolutely lived up to the scenery. We started with a fresh house salad, which was simple but perfectly dressed and a great way to kick things off. For entrées: * My husband ordered the short rib, which was incredibly tender and rich with flavor. The sauce paired perfectly with the creamy mashed potatoes and roasted carrots. * My oldest son had the prime rib, and it was cooked beautifully with a great sear and topped with asparagus and a flavorful butter. * I chose the shrimp scampi, which was buttery, garlicky, and packed with shrimp. The pasta was coated in the most delicious creamy sauce and even came with toasted bread to soak up every bit of it. * My younger two ordered from the kids menu--the kids short rib and butter-and-cheese fettuccini--and both plates were generous and surprisingly elevated for kids' meals. Everything we ordered came out looking beautiful and tasting just as good. The service was attentive without being overbearing, and the whole experience felt relaxed but still upscale. If you're visiting Maui and want a spot that delivers great food, amazing views, and works well for families, The Plantation House is absolutely worth the reservation.

The Plantation House was spectacular! Located in Kapalua, Hawaii, this popular restaurant is known for its island-inspired cuisine, stunning ocean and golf course views, and upscale, yet casual atmosphere! My wife booked us a table for weekend brunch! I love a hearty breakfast, so I ordered the portuguese sausage, bacon and cheddar omelette! Omg, fire!!! My wife ordered the chicken wings with extra cilantro sauce- AMAZING! The chicken was super tender and delicious! My daughters ordered the caesar salad with protein, and an egg scrambled with a side of portuguese sausage- because why the hell not?! It's that delish! Drinks were on point and refreshing! Service was absolutely superb! Our waiter was super friendly and chatty (it's that Aloha spirit). But the real highlight of our dining experience were the spectacular views of the Pacific Ocean and Plantation golf course. What a view! Totally worth it!

Incredible setting and Kapalua located on a golf course. Fish tacos or so perfect season perfectly there's three in an order with chips, cilantro, fresh tomatoes. Great breakfast menu at lunch menu with something for everybody. Incredible views of the Mountains and ocean! Incredible setting. I have been coming for many years and I recommend this restaurant highly. It will not disappoint. .

Our food was awesome and the drinks were great! The dining area is open and airy with lots of rainbows over the golf course. Our waiter was super friendly and accommodating!

The Plantation House is a must-visit! From the moment we arrived, we were blown away by the incredible views -- lush green fairways rolling into endless ocean horizons. It's easily one of the most beautiful dining settings in Maui. The staff went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed, delivering top-notch service with genuine aloha. The food matched the scenery in every way. The Loco Moco was rich and flavorful, the veggie omelette was perfectly cooked and fresh, and the Kula greens salad was crisp, vibrant, and beautifully dressed. Everything tasted high quality and made with care. A perfect combination of amazing food, exceptional service, and unforgettable views -- The Plantation House truly captures the spirit of Maui dining at its best! The Plantation House is a must-visit! We went to the plantation house for dinner. It was a dark drive up there and couldn't see much of the green views, but that's OK since it was at night. The bread was surprisingly good. It was soft on the inside and nicely toasted on the outside. We ordered the lobster ravioli, and braised short rib plate. The lobster ravioli was really good. Whatever sauce they had on there complemented the dish really nicely. The breed short plate was good. The meat was tender and soft and the sauce on it was sweet almost like a teriyaki for dessert. We had the upside down pineapple cake that came with coconut ice cream. Definitely give that a try that was a good pick. Our waitee was really nice and attentive, and these places really make effort to make your dining experience a memorable one .

Absolutely amazing! The food is incredible and the views are even better, overlooking The Plantation golf course. You literally can't find a better place to view a Maui sunset. Just stunning! We had the local fish specials and they were really good as well as the chocolate bomb dessert. Highly recommend this place for a more formal dinner night (kids are totally fine finding something as well). And if you get a chance to golf The Plantation, do it!

Even though we had an unfortunate birthday experience here in Jan 24 we decided to give it another go and this time it was excellent. Hubby was celebrating another year older and we love the food here so we booked online and were seated at a front row table for 2 with an outstanding view of the golf course and Molokai. We arrived at 12.30pm with breakfast and lunch being served simultaneously so I plumped for my fave crab cake benny and Hubbs chose the chimichurri steak and wedge. We drank Pain in the Coconut (a fruity concoction of orange and pineapple juice, bitters and rum) and a non alcoholic version of it too. Both were sublime on a warm sunny day looking at the blue, blue ocean. Hubby's sweet tooth was delighted by the pineapple upside down pud served a la mode, and the chocolate bomb which was served with creme anglaise was delish! Even I ate a spoon or two and I normally don't like dessert as it is too sweet Hubby received a birthday card from the staff and Melissa M was fantastic, attentive and chatty, and excellent at keeping us topped up with drinks and bringing everything we needed. We didn't even realise it was her first day until we tried to pay with a gift voucher and she asked another server to show her how to process it. They also showed us how to sign up for a special offer using a QR that we can use at Plantation House and Castaways in Kaanapali which gave us $10 off our meal! The lady with the cute pink hair at the entrance desk made sure we got a great table for 2 too. All in all we had a fantastic birthday lunch, food was fantastic, and we enjoyed every bite and every minute. Mahalo to Melissa and the other staff who went out of their way to make Hubby's special day one to remember :)

They gave us a cute little card to celebrate our anniversary. The view was amazing.

Our best dining experience in Maui! We've gone to Maui several times, but this is our first going to The Plantation. Very impressed with the food and the view!

I have been dining here for years, this is my first visit in 7 years! The views are still amazing. The service was impeccable throughout our visit. We had the best table sitting at the window for the three of us. We had a couple of food glitches from the kitchen but they were so gracious and took amazing care of us. The food is pretty good. This visit we had the veggie omelet plate and steak and wedge salad plate. Plenty of food, brought leftovers home too and they were fantastic reheated! It's a beautiful experience here and I will always return!

Rice was mushy tasted overcooked Mac salad was decent but not the traditional Mac salad flavor. Kung Pao Chicken: 2/10 Small pieces of chicken mostly fried so very little chicken this dish had a good amount of flavor because it was sweet. Super solid luau at the Ritz Carlton!…read more Staying near Kapalua on our latest visit - I decided to surprise wifey with one of the newer luaus on the island, the Tales of the Kapa Moe! Had to make my reservations a few weeks in advance since the luau is only on Tuesdays and Fridays! Some limited, ah?! Taking place at the Ritz newly renovated Aloha Garden Pavilion, such a sight when you walk in! Welcomed by staff and given a fresh flower lei and a stiff cocktail (or TWO) right away! Now that's what I call the Aloha Spirit...quite literally LOL! -Blue Hawaiian -Kapalua Mai Tai (fave of the night, strong & vibrant!) Before going to your assigned seating in the covered pavilion, you can partake in the Hawaiian cultural activities in the lanai, and get your pictures taken underneath the beautiful garden backdrop! Then when you're ready you get escorted to your table for the luau pre-show! I gotta say - the highlight of the night is the luau dinner, pretty swanky! Before they call you up to the buffet line by table, they bring out the whole roasted pig for showing off as it heads to the display line for service! I noticed though that the pig is not made in an underground imu as is the traditional Hawaiian method - it is cooked in a Caja China, which can also produce succulent meat! The buffet is stacked well, and you can go back as your heart desires! So much to eat: Salads -Hawaiian Chopped Salad -Caesar Salad -Kula Beets with Arugula (for you vegans) -Soba Noodle Salad Entrees -Whole Roasted Pig -Macadamia Nut Crusted Fresh Fish Catch -Westside Huli Huli Chicken -North Shore Oahu Garlic Shrimp Sides -Wok Fired Island Vegetables -Local Molokai Sweet Potatoes -Ginger & Soy Steamed Bok Choy -Garlic Mushroom Fried Rice There's even a Build your own Poke Station with ahi and kimchi tako poke and tons of condiments! AND even a Keiki Menu that includes Fried Chicken Tenders and Mac & Cheese! I know this isn't what folks in ancient Hawaiian times ate, but cheee hooo the food overall is ONO! The Kula Beets with Arugula and Soba Noodle salads were faves! Some crazy flavor combos going there and good starters! Cannot go wrong with a poke bowl with your own fixings as an appetizer as well! The Whole Roasted Pig was nice & moist (especially the belly sections), delicious when served with the mu shu buns, poi, pickled vegetables, and hoisin chili sauce. Like basically an Asian taco! The Macadamia Nut Crusted Fresh Fish was delectable too, delicate fish with their mild Thai coconut curry sauce was very good! The North Shore Oahu Garlic Shrimp was liked as well, so much garlic and lemon butter! And what goes well with protein? Why, a heaping serving of Garlic Mushroom Fried Rice of course! More of a modern meal take on the Hawaiian luau, but I ain't mad! I made sure to eat enough for my ancestors HA! After the buffet dinner, relax, digest and get ready for the show. The Tales of the Kapa Moe! Great local host, makes you get interactive too, work off some of that luau food! The show is a lively depiction of a day in the life of the Hawaiian ancestors, showcasing the different tasks of everyone in the village. Many tales to enlighten your senses: *Koʻi Honua - A story of the creation of the islands *Pele - Goddess of the volcano and its molten lava *Kanehekili - God of thunder bringing forth rain to start growth *Laka - Goddess of the forest and all earthly vegetation *Ka I ka hoe - Audience participation chant lesson *Huakaʻi Hele - Migration of our ancestors from the south pacific *Ka wailele o Honokohau - Acrobat in the form of a waterfall *Ae Kakou - Men dance expressing their love for fish and poi *Lānaʻi - The beauty of Lānaʻi displayed as our women dance in a cloud *Moea awakens - Fire finale representing that the fire of our people its heritage will continue to live and burn strong And while you're enjoying the history, don't forget to grab some desserts: -Mochi Tart (must try!) -Mango Pudding -Mango Cheesecake -Kapalua Bar -Macadamia Chocolate Crunch Cake What an experience of a luau, very nuanced! Especially the fire show at the end, super LIT is an understatement! My only note is that this luau is a bit pricey for the 3 hour dinner & show - about $260 per person for Ohana Seating, and about $316 per person for the Ali'i Premium Seating (right near the front row). But if you're a kama'aina don't despair - let them know and you can get 20% off with valid Hawaii ID! Awesome time for wifey & I at the Tales of the Kapa Moe Luau Show! Michelle mentioned it's hard to come by and recommended it. The fish was amazing - very fresh, moist and very similar to Opakapaka. If you ever see if on the menu, get it. It will be a memorable experience. The fish was served on a bed of rice with a beurre blanc finish and fresh carrots. An amazing preparation. I would also recommend the Hula Pie for desert. It's big enough for two (or three)

The sun was setting which was actually a bit too bright from our vantage point. Service was fast despite being on Hawaii time. We ordered some interesting sounding drinks. They tasted great. We kept it light for dinner. I had a crusted fish. My wife had a caesar salad. Overall, very nice restaurant that's quite busy at all times.
