    Kailua pork

Best mahi mahi and Kailua pork . Fish are fresh . Each time I come back I eat here . It's a food truck area across groceries store . Small parking behind or park across the strip mall and walk over . Lots of other food truck but I have tried other places this by far best

    Teriyaki steak $25 5/2025

This is the food truck location in Ka'anapali in front of the Hilton and other hotels. Known for their local plates, the guy behind the window suggested the teriyaki steak $25 Definitely good choice and delicious! The steak was juicy and the teriyaki sauce was perfect, not overly salty. I'm all about the sides too and their mac salad was yummy- contained small bits of veggies like red and yellow peppers. Of course a scoop of rice or you have a choice of steamed veggies instead. Cash only

We absolute LOVED Lahaina Grindz!!! We got this on our first night in Maui just as a quick dinner option so we wouldn't have to worry about reservations, and we can honestly say by the end of the week, the food from Lahaina Grindz was by far our favorite in both taste and value, so much so we cancelled a reservation we had for our last night and went back to Lahaina Grindz instead. The fact we got a 3 meat plate with very generous serving sizes for only $28 each practically blew our mind. We paid WAY more for much less desirable food elsewhere, including highly-rated sit down restaurants. If you're on the hunt for a delicious bang for your buck either for lunch or dinner, this should definitely be on your radar!!!

One of the simpler looking food trucks at the Honoapiilani Food Truck Park, the surfing lizard mascot shows off their Hawaiian meat plates served with Mac salad and rice. We were able to try any 3 of their meats by ordering the Big Kahuna Trio plate and were able to choose vegetables or macaroni salad to go with the rice on the side. It hit the spot for the meat lover! The mahi mahi was cooked nicely and was my favorite of the meats we tried-- meaty but not dry (I don't like my fish flaky!). MT's favorite was the chicken katsu (breaded and fried) which was sauced up with their own version of tonkatsu sauce. The kalbi ribs were very salty and tasted mostly of soy sauce (pass on this one). The furikake rice has a large amount of salt on it too, so it was overall quite a salty meal. As for the veggies, they seemed partially sautéed and partially steamed (soft but a bit buttery as well). Overall, a big and tasty meal with a good variety, but it was on the saltier side. Service was friendly, and they only take cash. Prices are a bit pricey but comparable to the other food trucks in the area. Parking is in the back gravel lot. There are plenty of picnic tables in the area, and the string lights and crowd of people make it a lively scene at night. :)

Good loco moco for a food truck! Food was out in a decent amount of time. Hangout at the food trucks was really chill!

Kalbi rib plate & roasted pork plate. So good!

I have been trying to find a spot that served kalbi ribs near my hotel & was lucky to find this food truck spot. My husband and I ordered the kalbi rib plate & roasted pork plate. Both very delicious, lots of flavor & good portions. Staff is very friendly, we waited no longer than 10 min. Happy to have found this spot.

The hostess had us seated at the high table right next to the bathrooms where there were constantly people walking by our table. She claimed there were no other tables available and was not interested in finding an alternative table for us. I have a 10-second video of our little girl blowing out her birthday candle, and we got video-bombed by a lady walking by within that short duration. The food was... okay. The kids got their own dishes, while my husband and I shared the calamari and the whole fish. The calamari was on the softer side if we're being euphemistic, and the whole fish was kind of dry. Our server was lovely, which saved this from being a one-star review. As a place to grab a quick bite, Mala is probably fine though there are better options on this island. As a place where you make a reservation weeks in advance to celebrate a milestone, please do yourself a favor and go elsewhere unless you enjoy the sound of flushing toilets and doors opening/ closing during your meal. Never again.

From our resort villa, we online ordered a large Crispy Pata, $46, and was told it would be ready in 20 minutes! Our Crispy Pata and a box of rice and dipping sauces were ready and waiting for us! It was delicious; fatty, crunchy, and full of flavor! This Crispy Pata lasted us quite a few meals, which we added to saimin, or rice. While I adore and often cook a lot of Asian food I'm not such a fan of Filipino food yet around it more than any other food with family. Bad choice. After driving there from Lahaina for lunch, this dish was unavailable?? Even yelpers rave about it! So we ordered the pork belly and wanted chow fun but they only have the chicken variety? So there is a reason why the Asian restaurants we usually dine at make beef chow fun. The chicken version was bland and wanting for something else to complete it! But surely edible and nicely cooked noodles. The pork belly was ok but not slap your momma I'll go back for that good. The Mac salad was awful compared to much more affordable plate lunch places. It was flavorless, overcooked pasta, and a gritty texture! Weirdly the chairs there at the tables are low and you feel like you are at the children's table at Thanksgiving. So much so that us and two other groups including the ones that moved after ordering to our vacated table moved from the regular tables to the ones at the window with a bench on one side. We had fun joking with our replacements about that! So for the most part here it appears to be tourist clientele and not many Filipinos but my wife. I think that these exceptionally high prices for basic dishes and burgers (she asked why would people go to a Filipino restaurant and order a burger) are why not many locals eat here. And frankly most aunties make better Filipino food better at home. Glad we tried but not again. Checked off of our try try list. They didn't even have a signature dish available that we went particularly to get.

My experience in the food/hospitality industry is that the reservation parties are always seated before a "walk in" and that didn't happen with us. Nevertheless let's talk about Leilani's, it's a bi level set up with patio dining at ground level with beach level views, live entertainment and a different dining menu. We were seated on the 2nd level with ocean view and open breezy al fresco ambience. Our server was Hannah, pleasant and ready to offer a truly fabulous dining experience. Hannah did check on us multiple times through dinner, thank you Hannah for that. We started with the chilled beets and whipped burrata, a creatively crafted use of Burrata cheese that really made this chilled beet salad delicious. The Parmesan crusted Mahi Mahi in a flavorful lemon caper sauce was so good, fish was very fresh and flaky. Coconut shrimp was cooked perfectly, packed with coconut and cooked to perfection. Not dry at all, the sauce that comes with it didn't really pair with the coconut shrimp only because my wife is not a big Curry fan. Hannah effortlessly switched sauce to a horseradish Yuzu sauce that paired nicely and definitely a better flavor combo. Kimos Hula Pie was "Ono" simply delizioso and a huge piece enough for two and we still couldn't finish it. Great evening, stupendous dining experience and I would return to explore the menu a little more. When on the Kaanapali coast do stop in and try breakfast, lunch or dinner, you won't be disappointed. The setting alone is stunning--overlooking the Kapalua golf course with gorgeous ocean views--but the food absolutely lived up to the scenery. We started with a fresh house salad, which was simple but perfectly dressed and a great way to kick things off. For entrées: * My husband ordered the short rib, which was incredibly tender and rich with flavor. The sauce paired perfectly with the creamy mashed potatoes and roasted carrots. * My oldest son had the prime rib, and it was cooked beautifully with a great sear and topped with asparagus and a flavorful butter. * I chose the shrimp scampi, which was buttery, garlicky, and packed with shrimp. The pasta was coated in the most delicious creamy sauce and even came with toasted bread to soak up every bit of it. * My younger two ordered from the kids menu--the kids short rib and butter-and-cheese fettuccini--and both plates were generous and surprisingly elevated for kids' meals. Everything we ordered came out looking beautiful and tasting just as good. The service was attentive without being overbearing, and the whole experience felt relaxed but still upscale.
