It was busy when we arrived around 2pm, we had to wait about 15 minutes for a table. I had the Baked BBQ Pork with Tomatoes and Cheese spaghetti. The BBQ pork was really juicy! Everything else was standard HK style quality, but I was impressed with the quality of the pork. Service was excellent here. I'd definitely return. read more

Stopped by here for takeout. Tried the portuguese chicken baked rice. Even a few hours later, this tasted great. The sauce they used was quite tasty. Also appreciated that they were generous with the chicken, not adding a lot of potato like some other places. The milk tea was really good. Again I preferred this to the tea at other HK cafes. Solid cha chaan tang (Hong Kong cafe). The restaurant and menus are so clean and well maintained. Service was also very attentive for an Asian restaurant, they insisted to serving me water when I tried to get some from the station. The food here is also solid, especially the casserole type dishes and fried rice. We got the seafood in cream sauce with cheese and noodles, Malaysia laksa noodles, Portuguese chicken with cheese, fried rice, French toast, regular toast with condensed milk, and pineapple bun with butter. During lunch hours, your choice of drink is included. We got lemon water and HK milk tea. Portions are generous! My only critique is the French toast and pineapple bun was not crunchy enough. In July, I was looking to fetch takeout for dinner. I did a quick search on my Ritual app and found The Point Eatery. It offers Hong Kong-style comfort dishes. I have a few go-to meals that I like from such eateries. I felt like baked bolognese over spaghetti and ordered it. I also saw grape soda on the menu and had to give it a try. When I see a carbonated drink on the menu that intrigues me, I must order it. The estimated time to pick up my order was in fifteen minutes. It was perfect for me to casually drive over to this eatery. It's located in a plaza where I have frequented a bunch of times. McDonald's with a drive-thru between buildings is the main anchor. I have also been to Mamma's Pizza. I had no problem finding a parking spot. It can get a bit busy, but I have yet to not find any parking here. I walked in and headed to the counter. I let the man know that I had a Ritual order. He found it and handed it over. I thanked him and headed out the door to my car. I then drove home to have dinner. My favourite baked bolognese is at Taoyuan Neverland. I now have another favourite place here. This eatery's version of baked bolognese has carrots and celery. They work well with the bolognese sauce and cheese. The pasta was perfectly cooked. I liked the beef. It all worked so well. The grape soda was cool as bubble tea. I got coconut jelly. The sugar level is fixed. It was sweet, but not disgustingly sugary. I enjoyed it, although there wasn't much carbonation left by the time I got home with it. I tried ordering again here a couple of weekends ago. The wait time was absurd at forty minutes. I'll try again soon and hope that the demand isn't that crazy. Got to try this new place for the first time. It's kinda like dickens that kinda westernized hk style cafe. The meal doesn't come with soup/bread but it does come with a drink ($2 more for cold drink). The meals are mostly in the $13-15, or even more depending on the ingredient. We ordered a "special" which is chicken spaghetti with mushroom sauce and a Portuguese styled chicken rice. The chicken spaghetti was nice, the chicken skin is so crispy I have never experienced such crispiness in a hk style cafe before. The mushroom sauce is more dense than campbell soup. Very saucy, enough to cover all the pasta. Overall it's a dish that we would order again on our next visit. The Portuguese chicken rice was also pretty good. Very saucy. It's fried rice. If you're looking a classic dish that best represents the essence of HK diner food, I do suggest the Baked Ox-Tongue Rice in Black Pepper Sauce with Cheese. The black pepper sauce is a great counteract to the after taste you may get for ox tongue, but it's a great flavour and texture combination to enjoy with rice. Both meals were ok it didn't wow me at all in anyway. The teriyaki sauce was kind of subtle that I didn't really taste much flavour which made my salmon kinda tasteless. First time trying out this HK Style cafe in Richmond Hill on a Saturday afternoon for lunch. The restaurant is clean and the service is good. They checked our vaccination records and seated us. They got busy as time went on and they had a lot of take out . We ordered the HK style cold tea, beef brisket in noodle soup. baked bolognese with cheese & chicken steak with cream sauce on spaghetti. The food was piping hot which is the way we like it. I think this restaurant is quite new and it's an HK style cafe with some fusion dishes. We tried the ginger chicken and Nasi Goreng fried rice which were both good but nothing to write home about. Everything I've had at The Point has been great! I'm surprised the ratings are so low. Milk tea was good for me cuz I can't take it when it's too strong. @.@ Below picture is of the baked seafood over macaroni and I felt the portions were good (it felt a little pricier than other HK cafe) but I feel they really take care of the quality of ingredients and cooking. Came here for dinner last night. They have both indoor and outdoor dining available so should be no problem getting a seat. Since it was sunny out we opted to sit outside where they have three tables of 4 available. Right off the bat, service here is slow. Granted that indoor dining opened not too long ago and them being a new cafe in the area, some delays are expected. But they were reallllly slow. Got seated, waited about 10 minutes for menus and another 15 for someone to come out and take our order. I ordered the Baked Bolognese with Cheese Spaghetti and it took a whopping 30-35 to get to the table. Again, I wasn't expecting the fastest service but even in that regard this was slow. Onto the dish. With Baked Bolognese, it's one of those dishes that is never mind-blowing and is always just solid. I'd give the dish itself a 3 for taste and it was cooked well with good overall taste, it just missed the mark a bit on portion, specifically meat. Lots of pasta, not a lot of meat. Poor customer service! I arrived looking for a table for 2 in the mid afternoon so I stood aside waiting in line. The waitress said I was in her way- rude! We order our food and our drinks arrive. The waitress had several sugar packs in hand and then hands us 2 and keeps the rest. We then had to ask for additional sugar packs as it was not sufficient. The wait time to be served food was long! My order did not arrive after a long wait so I followed up with the waitress. She responds that there were a lot of orders for Chinese dishes. I then think, isn't this a HK cafe so it would be normal that the orders are primarily for Chinese food? I saw that the orders for tables that arrived after me had already received their food. I guess it's because they truly baked the dishes in the tinfoil containers, and had them ready just before my scheduled pick up time! While most places always serve some rather run-down milk tea, both the hot milk tea and cold milk tea here have the right amount tea aroma and flavour! Some review said the cut of the pork chop is rather thin, I actually appreciate the cut and how lean the meat was, the best part was it didn't have any chewy tendons or coated in thick batter!
