First visit to The Point! Everything was great, great food, amazing views of Little Sarasota Bay, Christian, our server was friendly and professional! They also gave a neat Tiki hut! Would recommend folks Get To The Point!

We heard there was a new menu and new chef so decided to try it. What a treat! Six of us and our dinners were delicious! Sunset off the veranda was just gorgeous!! Our compliments to the chef Nick Lazzerini. We had a great evening!

Stopped by here with friends and enjoyed sitting on the porch for dinner. The weather was perfect, the drinks delicious, and the food was fantastic. My grouper sandwich was excellent and they have gluten free buns. My husbands carnitas tacos were some of the best he has had. Our friends enjoyed bang bang shrimp and tacos as well. The service was great and the ambiance perfect. We will definitely return!

A once-favorite spot that struggles with consistency. We used to be regulars at The Point, going weekly, but over time, the quality--followed by the service--began to decline. We've given it a few chances here and there, hoping for improvement, but nothing has stood out enough to make us regulars again. Most recently, we visited on Sunday, February 16. They still had their Valentine's Day specials, which looked good, but we ordered from the regular menu. My other half had the fish and chips, which were solid. I had the sole with seafood stuffing--light and fresh but a bit bland until I added some salt and a splash of lemon, which helped bring out the flavors. The garlic mashed potatoes were fantastic, and the asparagus was well-prepared. One of my biggest frustrations is how frequently the menu changes. Some of my favorites from their original menu are long gone, and it feels like there's no consistency. The same goes for the staff--I've noticed a revolving door of employees, including managers, which might explain the inconsistency. That said, the team working that evening was friendly, attentive, and helpful, which I appreciated. Overall, The Point has potential, but the lack of stability in both the menu and staff makes it hard to rely on. I'd love to see them find their footing again.

The view was beautiful, complimented by a clean and modern space. The cocktails were delicious, the Molly Martinis 10/10. The food and service not so great. Our server wasn't very attentive and when he brought new drinks he didn't clear the old glasses, leaving our table very cluttered. I was disappointed with the food. The green beans looked frozen, the rice a small ball... with little flavor and the seafood was meh also tasted like it had been frozen. Not the type of seafood you'd expect for a restaurant on the water. I hope they improve the food because the location is amazing!

My husband and I had a date night tonight and we had dinner at a neat place on the bay in Osprey, Florida, that we had never heard of. The Point. Also known as Evies on the Point. Built 3 years ago. Nice. Casual. Inexpensive. Killer views. Plus there is a huge tiki bar/restaurant on site with a different menu and live music . A big lawn with games and chairs to sit and watch the sunset. Which we did. Great food. Joe, our server, was delightful. So was the sunset. We will definitely return and maybe try the tiki bar restaurant next time. It's all good.

We took my mother here for dinner. The view of the water was excellent from the balcony. Tiki drinks with mugs you can take home are a must. Many fresh seafood options to choose from--the crab cakes were so good! Service was very friendly if sometimes a tad slow. Would recommend this to anyone looking for a nice quiet night out.

    Celebrating at The Point

Celebrated our 50th wedding anniversary at the Point last weekend with the help of their outstanding event planner Julie. It was amazing!! Fabulous spot right on the water with lots of room for the grandkids to hangout! Wonderful staff who made sure everyone was hydrated, fed and they even served us all the cake! The buffet food was delicious, most guests took home a "to go" box!! The ambiance was so beautiful- staff put up with all my requests for every detail to be perfect. We could not have been happier with our choice for this venue for our special day. We highly recommend The Point for any private party... our kids want to make it an annual family reunion spot!

Super solid casual joint right on the water. Awesome spot for lunch on a nice day out. All the fish was super fresh and seasoned. I've come here a few times now and they always have room for us which is great!

Stopped in here right when I arrived in town for a weekend visit and had one of my favorite drinks of the stay - the coconut margarita. So good! We also had the queso and fried shrimp and both were great. Will say the service was a tad slow but at a tiki bar on the beach with great views I really can't complain. Definitely a good stop for happy hour and a casual hangout.

What Happened?? This was our GO TO PLACE for lunch....UGH...Sysco Surprise! Even the extra fantastic Clam Chowder has changed...mostly Potatoes now...and was served Cool. (Cold) ALSO...please ASK before dumping straws in everything...your on the DAMN water, have some respect for your surroundings! My husband's hamburger looked like it had been cooked last night...cold... My Shrimp stuff, cold and extra boring! We used to love this place, too many beautiful places to choose from to have to pay 45.00 (including 20% tip) Waited 15 minutes to be served cold food by a loud/abrasive server...was being shadowed so obviously her first day... See ya.... Take CARE of your Beautiful Environment!! NO STRAWS or PLASTIC BAGS!! Come on!!

Fire Tacos is a food truck that serves up tacos and other Mexican food favorites. The food truck…read moredefinitely has seen better days, but I have found that the best Mexican food does not come from flashy type places, but rather these humble places. It is my humble opinion that the more ambiance a Mexican place has, odds are that the food will suffer. This is not always the case, but more often than not, I find that the fancier the place, the food suffers more. I went up to the food truck and scanned the menu. Let me start out by saying that their tacos on corn tortillas was $2.50. Quite a bargain. I got three tacos and was charged $7.50. The woman at the one side took my money and almost instantaneously, another woman handed me my tacos. I opted for a carne asada taco,a carnitas taco, and a chorizo taco. They were pretty well packed with meat, especially for the relatively low price point (some might even say downright cheap). They were also pretty tasty. I also liked the salsas that came with my tacos. I will say that I preferred the red salsa over the green salsa, but both were very good. Fire Tacos was definitely a pretty good choice if you are in the Sarasota, Florida area or if you are passing through (the truck is not located far off of Interstate 75). I would definitely recommend Fire Tacos and I will give it five stars overall. Go check it out for yourself. I do not think that you will be disappointed.
