I have to confess that my review may be just a bit affected by the fact that we came here from a long, hot, tiring bicycle ride. So we were hungry and I was thirsty in that special way that only beer can really satisfy. We had a delightful dinner here. The staffing was, like so many places these days, a bit short. Our server, Allyson, was delightful and working hard to do her own job plus overseeing a trainee, but we were very pleased with service. The back patio is one of the nicest outdoor dining spaces I have encountered yet - pleasantly shady and with lots of appealing greenery. I had their featured "Point Burger" Which was wonderful. I was on my way to California and staying in a night in a hotel down the street from The Point, and thought to myself "man, let's try it, I love good pub food." Picked up a Bleu Cheese Burger w/ seasoned fries and a French Dip w/ Caesar salad and let me tell you, it was some real top notch pub food. My order was packaged up easy to carry and the order was exactly what I asked for. The service was prompt and friendly. The food was great and didn't try too hard. And the prices were quite fair. Places like The Point Pub & Grill remind me why I try to eat local when traveling. Highly recommend. Stumbled upon this cool place while driving down main street in central point, simply trying not to dine in Medford for the eve. They have the most amazing steamer clams but are only on special once in a while. If you hit this place when they are on the chef specials menu your in for a treat. My rating is solely based on their French Dip. My word... I've never had a better one! They thinly slice ribeye for this beauty. If you're a meat-eater, I'd recommend asking for extra ribeye. It's not that the portion size is inadequate... I just really enjoy the steak! The "hoagie" is very delicious. It certainly wasn't like anything I would label as a hoagie, as I always think of a cheap bun out of a bag when I hear the term. This roll is the master of hoagies! It's very delicious! The au jus is icing on the cake: not overly salty and beefy flavor is not lacking. Add a side of horseradish and you are about to enter TastyTown! I ordered the chicken bacon mac & cheese, and so did my wife when our food finally arrived mine was barely lukewarm, and the vegetables were cold, as if they were just poured out of a bag . I paid $18.50 for the worst pub burger I have ever been served. We were looking for a quick bite before catching flight back home to Vegas at 8:30pm. Found this place a few miles away from Medford airport and it looked ok. The place was clean but too bright IMHO. As always the case in Oregon a ok selection of microbrew beers. The staff were also quite pleasant. We ordered beer and wine and a burger with onion rings off of the regular menu since the HH menu wasn't that exciting. We ordered medium temperature. The drinks were fine but when the food arrived OMG what a load of crap. I would say that a McDonalds standard burger and fries would blow the Central Pub burger away. So what was wrong with the CP burger. Well, the patty was probably one of the cheapest that a Sysco type supplier would deliver, it was served on a bun probably from the dislike store and the flavor and texture of the burger was what I would assume that of a well worn used leather shoe sole. The onion rings were very basic and tasteless. It is very difficult to mess up a very basic pub menu item like a burger, but I think that the CP pub actually achieved this, and had the audacity to charge $18.50 for the experience. I don't like giving reviews, but having owned and operated two very successful pubs similar to CP pub, their burger is crap, to say the least. All I can say is that they must have very forgiving local customers that probably have few other options. read more

My sister and brother in laws Not vegan patty melt had the same meat to bread ratio problem plus so little grilled onions we had to search for them. My daughters vegan chicken nachos came out with no vegan chicken and barely and vegan cheese. Sent back, all they did was throw a frozen breaded vegan patty in the microwave and cubed it up a threw it on top. No Attempt at all to make it right. The only thing worth a *** star review was the Garlic fries and beer batter deep fired pickles. I usually never leave such negative reviews! but All 4 of our meals has something wrong. We entered the very old brick building housing this restaurant shortly after it opened on a weekday so it had few customers. The ambiance is nice, roomy, brick walls, fireplace and old photos. The fish and fries was above average; especially the fish that was fresh and flaky with a very good thin batter. The fries were ordinary as was the coleslaw. This place deserves 5 stars! I was passing through Medford for the night and it was the closest to my lodging so I gave it a shot... and SO GOOD! Food: I had a scrumptious Greek salad with salmon on it. Everything was cooked perfectly and the salad was generous and delicious! Wine: they serve wine on tap! Despite being busy, the bartender offered me a couple tastings to choose the best wine for me. I appreciated the options, attention and the excellent glass of Viognier I ended up with. Very nice selection. Service: the bartender/server gets a huge shout-out from me! She was serving the entire room all night long and managed to keep my water and wine glasses full + check in with me multiple times despite having a giant room full of people to attend to. I was super impressed by her service and ability to take care of the entire room! Ambiance: it's a pub!
