They are pricey at $1,267 but a three year old federal law will not let you replace a pool motor that goes bad with a $300 replacement motor. (Like me, I'll bet many pool owners are not aware of this.) I checked around and prices were the same with other pool companies. Those companies did not have valid contractor licenses with the state. For a price over $1,000, Arizona law requires that the work be performed by a licensed contractor. I went on www.azroc.gov which is for the Arizona Registrar of Contractors and through a search there found Always Clean. The installation was great and it took him a little over two hours including the training of how to use the computer system it has. You can spot a true professional by how accurately they can perform a repair or install task. Also, they can troubleshoot any existing problems with ease. Todd made it look easy. There is no way that I could have done it. When your kids or grandkids swim in a pool you want absolute safety. Hiring a licensed contractor is worth it.

They stop by for a minute, throw in some chlorine and, when it starts to get hot, they "shock" the pool when it begins to turn green... They say the AZ heat is just brutal, and that shocking a pool is normal.  Fortunately, when I decided to purchase a new pool motor, I hired Big Family Pools. Dean gave me some options and was VERY helpful in the process. His honest, straight forward answers were greatly appreciated. I also learned that the pool cleaner that I was using was not the optimal cleaner for the type of pool we have. Less than a year before I hired Big Family Pools to service my pool each week, we had completed a complete remodel of the pool. When the water was added back into our pool, our former pool service company performed a "start up" chemical process so that the water would be balanced properly. They began servicing with chlorine and shock, as needed.  When Dean installed my new pool motor and pool cleaner, he tested my water for me and showed me the exact chemical composition of the water. We were both surprised at how out of balance the water was after such a short time since the "new" water was added. Having the opportunity to actually see the chemical composition and to learn more about properly caring for the water, I decided to hire Dean to service our pool. This was a few months ago and I am VERY happy with my decision.  Getting detailed reports emailed to us after each pool service to let us know what was done each week is SO much different than what we have ever experienced with other pool companies. Our pool water has never looked better and our pump and cleaner have made my life so much easier.  As a real estate agent, we have started referring Dean to our clients and have used him for pool inspections and pool repairs. She was happy to address our concern the the Hayword controler and scheduled the business owner (Joe) to come on site to look in to the issue at no charge, Joe was prompt in arriving, took his time to resolve the issue, and while at it he provided us with what you might call a (Pool 101 school). Hence, we're revising our previous review to 5 stars to reflect the excellent and prompt service we received from this local business (AZ POOL 360) this morning, we do highly recommend them. As for HAYWORD POOLS, the manufacturer of the equipment, we still stand by our previous rating and comments in regards to their atrocious customer service, we're still waiting a response from them for over a week now.

Do not hire them if you want a professional who understands complex service requests.
