Loud music. Can't even have a conversation during Sunday brunch. Food took forever to be tabled. Food was so so and overpriced.

You don't get what you pay for here. The atmosphere is really cool, but the food was average at best. I was really disappointed by the chicken sandwich (I was really hoping it would be awesome) which seemed to be mostly bun. Frankly, I'd probably be ok with this place if it weren't so dang expensive. Me and my boyfriend went in on the Fourth of July! It was decorated awesome and overall a good experience, we had a great server named Jess. She was very kind and attentive and even gave us recommendations, when the bill came it was 75$ and I put my card down. When she came back I was handed the check, and slid her a 20$, she was a great server so she totally deserved it! BUT when looking at my bank statement later I realized I had been charged 95$? Which there is no way I left her 40$ on 75$. I was confused and had to call about 4 times before someone called me back, and when I spoke to the manager, cole, he was professional and helped me with everything. We got a everything sorted and just as I knew there was a mistake with the tip, I'm confused on how that was even a mistake because I wrote in "cash" on the tip. It was clearly not looked over by a manager, I'm disappointed because I am server myself and have NEVER made a "mistake" like that. Wow, just moved to the area and am getting a feel for the Gilbert restaurant scene. Have been to Joyride (a Mexican place down the street from The Porch) and went to OHSO (opposite end of The Porch). Both had amazing service and welcomed us with open arms. Our first experience today at The Porch was less than ideal to say the least, and that is putting it very mildly. We were able to get seats up at the bar which we were very excited about because it seemed to be a great location to get food and drinks. Wow, we were wrong!! Not only did it seem to take longer to get a drink while sitting at the bar than a table but the servers literally seemed to ignore those at the bar seats. The couple sitting with us waited over 25 min for two appetizers while others at tables around were served very quickly. We are very easy going and not demanding when it comes to service but it really waiting for 15+ min and watching servers tell customers at the bar they will check on their food, only to go back by the kitchen and check their phones. VERY DISAPPOINTING. As someone that just moved here, I expected a lot more from The Porch. Both ourselves and the couple next to us, both first time customers said we will not be back. Seems like the male bartender today was more concerned about how is muscles looked in his shirt and the conversation he had with his female counterparts vs understanding how he could provide service to his customers. The manager on duty, she seemed just as concerned about nothing that impacted the customers at the bar. Her priorities revolved around laughing with the staff vs actually helping them do their jobs to increase the experience of those at paying customers at the PORCH. I really hope the owner sees this post, it's a shame that we were treated this way because will probably not come back and will share this experience with our businesses and associates. read more

More of a bar atmosphere then I like but wow the food was good. Try the chicken Apple sandwich. Hubby had the burger and he liked it.

Solid food and drinks, had never been here before. Since my first time coming I've been several more times as a go to restaurant.

Our waitress was great & we had a blast for the most part. Then they started getting busy and some other server was telling us we needed to move for her friends that were trying to get bottle service. It's unfortunate you don't get respected or valued as a customer unless you're trying to spend more money than the next. The main "security guard" was super unprofessional handling the situation as well, started screaming in my boyfriend's face. They need check themselves. read more

I would only go for beer. Our group ordered a decent amount of food, including 3 separate orders of green chili Mac n cheese, fried pickles, mozzarella sticks, and a French dip burger with truffle fries. The pickles and mozz sticks were good! But the Mac and cheese was not creamy at all. It was so hard and clumpy, and also too salty to eat. The truffle fries were also so salty that we couldn't eat them. We did ask for them to be replaced by normal fries, but by that time we were over the food. read more

Let me start by saying I did arrive an hour before their kitchen close but still the Overall experience was disappointing. I get that this is primarily a bar but the food served should still be good. The mixed cocktails and beers we got were great, we got several different beers and a few mixed cocktails (such as the ex wife's secret) and they were really flavorful, sadly the majority of the food we recieved was not the same. We ordered a appetizer platter and when it came the queso dip already had a thick film on top (meaning it sat awhile) and the wings and mozzarella sticks were barely warm and more room temperature than anything. The fried pickles were hot and crispy which was nice but nothing else on the platter was. The burger I ordered which was the porch burger was unedible sadly. I ordered it medium rare with a egg and what I got instead was a super charred and well done as can be burger. It literally had a crunch when I bit into it. Very much not what I ordered and by the time the food had come out the kitchen was closed and I couldn't get a proper burger. While the server was super friendly and warm, the food really destroyed my first time experience here. read more

I usually go to their other location in Arcadia, so this was my first experience here. I went and sat by the bar and was waiting for my friend to join me. This was around 9:05 pm, one of the security people came and took the chair next to me away to the back without even talking to me. Then as he was walking by I asked him politely to explain to me why he couldn't even let me know they're talking away the chair that I had saved for my friend. He brought it back but then the next security guard with the name Collin I I believe, he came by and said to me: "no I'm taking this away". Anyhow, this was by the the most unprofessional and rudest behavior I've ever encountered in service industry. We were so looking forward to this place, but the food was lackluster. I will say the service was fantastic. We ordered the mozzarella sticks, chips, guac & salsa, the burger, the pork stew & the donut holes. The mozz sticks didn't appear to be homemade which was a bummer but the marinara was which I appreciate, and everything else was just average. The guac def could have used more salt & the stew lacked flavor. Overall, very...meh. Not sure we'll go back. read more

We experienced the PORCH for the first time tonight!!! So VERY IMPRESSED!! LOVE LOVE THE VIBE, Music Seating arrangements. We did not make reservations but they worked hard to accommodate us. We ended up seated at the bar. We were greeted by TY who's service was so OVER THE TOP and made us feel so welcomed and special!!! Makes the best OLD FASHIONS BTW!! I went there last night and the place was filthy but thats kind of expected at a busy bar at night so I'm not even upset about that. I ordered a vodka red bull and green tea shot at the bar and she gave me a shot of whiskey and soda water with a drop of red bull and splash of vodka. I paid for my drinks in cash and when i tipped her she ROLLED HER EYES at me. None of my friends could even choke down their drinks so We just put our drinks down on one of the many dirty tables and left. Horrid first time here! A girlfriend of mine and I came here on a Wednesday at about 7:45/8pm. You know after bedtime for kids. Our waitress was very timid. Didn't seem to really feel confident in her job or distracted, it didn't help much that she didn't know too much about the wines. We placed our order and began to notice a gentleman who had clearly been over served. He stayed in his area and didn't bother us at first so all was well. Until it wasn't. We made eye contact and he began shouting profanities at me. The 3, bartenders did nothing, the male manager walking about did nothing. I gave him a pass and told him I'm not doing that exchange with him. He was fine for a little bit, still bouncing from table to table harassing other patrons and even dry humping a patron who was politely rejecting him. At one point he continued to come over to our table, despite being told to not. After requesting a hug from my friend and being rejected he began to insult her and call her incredibly rude names. I had enough and stood up to shut him down and get him out of our area. As I shouted at him, all bartenders were watching, NO ONE DID ANYTHING!!! I had to physically walk over to the manager and request this man be removed from the bar!!! Like the 8 people in there noticed, why didn't management. To add insult to injury when we got our bill we realized the $35 bottle of Riesling we ordered was subbed for a $50 bottle of pinot Grigio that was not anything to write home about. We brought it up to the waitress and she responded with "that's what the manager said was the Riesling". It's almost like the bottles are labeled.. overall this place lacks the gumption to keep its patrons safe and that's absolutely unacceptable. Do better guys. Ladies night at your spot could have been such a fun experience. read more

I went to The Porch on a Saturday night. It was pretty busy and the wait for a table was at least an hour for 3 people. Luckily some seats became available at the bar. We ended up sitting at the bar instead of waiting for a table. The service at the bar was off to a good start. Music was great. We had nachos and ceviche. Both were awesome! The bar eventually got super busy and the bartenders seemed swamped. It looked like there were 3 bartenders. I waited for approximately 20 minutes for the bill. It was tough to get a bartenders attention because they were so busy. I saw patrons waiting for a really long time to order drinks (felt bad for them). With as busy as it got, it seemed like the bartenders could've used some extra help. Overall, drinks and food were good, I'll be back. read more
