I stopped here for a takeout lunch. I had read the reviews so was expecting a lot. I ordered the Cuban eggroll with a side of the chicken bog. YUM! The Cuban eggroll was great and it came with a small container of chipotle dipping sauce. They make the eggroll out of flour tortillas. I wanted to see what chicken bog was so this seemed liked a good time to order it. Just a little spicy but so tasty!! I hope I get a chance to come back before I head out of the area! This was the perfect place for lunch with our dogs. After all there is a dog in the logo! They have a good sized outdoor area with picnic tables. Although, there is a busy road out front. It's a small restaurant but the staff was very nice when I ordered and brought the food outside. We got the chicken bog egg rolls and flounder plate. Everything was really good and came out super hot! I really liked the egg roll and they had a few other ones that sounded good like the Uncle Ernie's roll-bbq and mac n cheese. Also, the chili mayo and tater sauce was really tasty. Their hours change during the winter season vs summer but we'd come back again! read more

We newly live in the Socastee area. Every Wednesday, my husband and I try a new restaurant with a flounder basket or lunch. We were not disappointed!! This place looks small but do not let that stop you. Flounder was extra crisp to perfection. We liked it so well, we went back for dinner. No skin on the flounder, which is a deal breaker for me. For dinner, bacon cheeseburgers with onion rings. Beer battered perfection, great quality meat. Tea was super sweet...perfection! We have a new favorite! read more

Had lunch here with our daughter and her family 12/28. She recommended the flounder sandwich, which is what got. A nice sized piece of fish seasoned and fried just right with no grease. Came on a bun with lettuce and tomato, but I passed on the slaw as I don't like mayo based slaws. The tarter sauce that came with it, I'm glad they put it on the side instead of the sandwich because it was way to sweet for my taste. I have never had tarter sauce that sweet before. They had malt vinegar which I love on fish and fries, but unfortunately my side of fries were very dark brown to the point I hardly ate any. I noticed that anyone that got fries as their side they were all the same way, very dark brown. My wife got a cheeseburger which I tasted and thought was just ok, and my daughter tried a new on the menu crab rangoon egg roll, which she said just wasn't her taste and was the first thing she's eaten here she didn't like. Drinks were on the house they day we visited and service was friendly enough. Overall the food was good, not great and if our daughter wanted us to join her here to eat again we would, but I don't think I would return here again on my own. read more

What a great lunch spot! I never knew this was here until a friend found it searching for nearby lunch spots. It is located right off of 544 right near the swing bridge. I had the pulled pork with coleslaw and fries. Everything was prepared to order (except the pulled pork which is slow cooked in house - YUM). The BBQ was tasty and tender and the portions were extremely generous! Tip: order the BBQ sauce on the side if you want to add as needed. The restaurant was clean and there is plenty of seating. There are also outdoor picnic tables if it's a nice day out. And dog friendly! Our waiter also mentioned they do all the catering for the event venue next door - cool! Looking forward to coming back for lunch in the fall when we can enjoy the outside picnic tables! read more

When I have to look up and ask for forgiveness from my grandmother to describe the food you know not was amazing. First the flounder and shrimp plate: this was amazing. It was perfectly seasoned and perfectly friend. The portion was huge. It had the right amount of kick but not overwhelming. We are saucy people and the tarter and cocktail were great. The cocktail for me could be a little spicier but I'm weird and like It so my nose runs lol. I am typically disappointed when coleslaw comes with a meal because It is usually just mayo and cabbage. This slaw was fantastic and actually had seasoning. Second is the grilled cheese: my kid inhaled It. The cheese was perfect and actually melted. The French fries were the crinkle ones which are my favorite(next to steak fries of course) The atmosphere was amazing and staff was friendly. The chocolate Oreo mousse is Heaven on earth. I took a bite to do this review but was so full from my meal I had to take the rest to go. If you are in the area check this place out. This may be a new favorite for us locals:-) read more

What a hidden gem, we decided to try this place as we love supporting local places vs the chains. The tourists take care of the staff with tips etc at the chains. When you walk in a pleasant lady says "get your drinks and have a seat." The menu is not large, but what they have will satisfy. I opted for the flounder sandwich and it was a great choice! The Porch is a wonderful little walk-up restaurant next to the Cooper House in Socastee. The food is simple and delicious. On their recommendation, I had their flounder sandwich, and it was out of this world! It was perfectly fried, cooked thoroughly but juicy and flaky and tender. I have not had the chance to sample Ralph's menu from this location . It is the same owner of Ramanis pizza a few miles away. I do know his food and standards but the location is just extremely hard to get in and out of due to being by the Socastee Turn Bridge. A must visit Ralph is a great guy. Food prices are to low IMO get the Earnie you can thank me later. We come from Michigan a couple times a year and make sure we eat the wonderful low cost confort food. If I lived in Myrtle Beach I would weight 600 pounds eating here 20 times a week. read more
