Hands down one of the best places in the Denver area. The porklet is always so crispy and flavorful. The sauces, cabbage, and macaroni salad also complement it so well. I highly suggest to dine-in since there is nothing like eating there fried food hot and fresh in house. They even put the porklet on a wire cooling rack to keep it nice and crispy for you. If you do go please do not sleep on there wings. They are as good if not better than the featured porklet. I have had just about everything on there menu and I would recomend it all. My only complaint is that the katsu sauce is a bit weird / overly sweet - but everything else is so yummy and the service is always quick. The lazies hit and I had to order delivery. I've been curious about this place for awhile and took the opportunity to make it mine. I ordered the Combo A (porklet and chicklet), tornado fried rice (with bacon), and the honey butter chicken wings and yes, the plan was to last several meals. This has got to be the best katsu I've had in my life, and I've had a lot!! My preference was for the chicken katsu but the pork was awesome as well. The meat was juicy and flavored just right. The crispity crunch on the katsu was perfection, even after waiting for it to be delivered. I can only imagine what the katsu tastes like fresh at the restaurant. My second favorite was the honey butter chicken wings. Oh ma gawd. The sauce on the perfectly fried wings was perfection. The tornado fried rice was a piece of art and tasted pretty typical of fried rice. Ten out of ten recommend. Can't wait to try the udon. With a side of katsu! read more

This place is money. Tonkatsu was as good as I've ever had. Cheese-let was good too, but won't be ordering again -- would rather have more katsu than that much cheese. This place is AMAZING. So much flavor. We got the sweet potato sticks appetizer and didn't know what to expect. It's sweet and could be a dessert and so tasty! Then got the chicken katsu bowl and the cheeselet entree. The bowl had the best sauces. The mac salad side is small but the perfect little addition. The cheeselet is really good, although super heavy. Really tasty though! So much more to try here so can't wait to go back. Very poor service Got the order in at 245 and automatically without asking put my order as to-go. I only caught it displaying as to go on the register screen ask if I could dine in but told no because they finished cleaning the dining room for the break. Got the order unhappily to-go and when I opened the bag, instead cheese donkatsu which I ordered, they gave a regular one, which is 2 dollars cheaper. I guess everyone from the front of the house to the back of the house were so eger to go on a break and not to be bothered by a customer like me. Went today and got the pork cutlet entree and a 6 piece of the sweet and sour wings. Everything was tasty and I enjoyed it, but boy it was expensive for what you get. $15 for the cutlet entree gets you one cutlet (not particularly large), a side of rice (again not particularly large), some cabbage, like two bites of Mac salad and a sip of soup (and I mean sip. Maybe a 1/4 cup of soup was given). Put the price at like $12 maybe $13 and I think you have a winner. Wings are also really expensive and don't include anything. $12 for just 6 wings is crazy considering I can get 6 wings, fries and a drink from wingstop for $12. The wings were good but not $2/wing good. Probably won't be back if they don't adjust their prices. read more

I love this place! I've tried pork katsu, chicken katsu and cheese katsu, and they're all super yum. I've tried dining in and deliveries and enjoyed both - would prefer dining in though just so I can eat it when it's super hot, crispy and fresh. The portion size is super generous and all the side dishes that come with the katsu complement each other well. The katsu meat isn't dry whether you get pork or chicken. A pork cutlet plate has two good portion crispy cutlets with a grey sesame dressing on cabbage (grey is not appetizing), Macaroni salad with rice and miso soup. The house sauce is a different taste blander then tonkatsu sauce. We also had this appetizer with red sauce. It tasted like dough with kimchee sauce. For the price we had to remove our own dishes which was not great seeing piled up dirty dishes after a good meal. read more

I saw The Porklet covered by a Denver area food reviewer on TikTok and I decided to check them out. I couldn't quite determine if it's technically classified as Japanese or Korean, but what I can say is the food was delicious. I went with The Porklet Bowl, dumplings, and Garlic Bomb wings. The pork was super crispy and flavorful and the sauces on top were really delicious. The garlic wings were also really flavorful and crispy. Totally worth the money! I know the prices are high as everyone has mentioned but come on it's pandemic prices. For the money I had a huge amount of food. My husband and I split the cheeselet and the tornado omelette with bacon fried rice. Everything was great including the pickled veggies, mac salad and soup. We dined in and the service was awesome. After eating we hit up Kung fu tea next door and I can honestly say it was the first time in a long time that I felt food coma.
