I've eaten at The Post more times than I can count. I mean, GF fried chicken!! Yes and thank you. Brunch was a new experience. After a long night of steady tequila cocktails brunch was a must. I had the huevos rancheros and Oh My God! The addition of fried popcorn chicken on top blew my mind and the Bloody was a must. It had the perfect amount of spice to chase the tequila blues away. The food was pretty good, we got chicken wings and two buffalo sandwiches but the sandwiches don't come with any sides and for $15 I think they should. The big problem was with the service. Our meals all came out at different times and there was only 4 of us. The server was very inattentive (he never asked how our food was, if we would like another beer) and slow. He forgot about the soda refill I asked for and the side salad I ordered came out after we all finished our meal. This was also after asking the server about the salad when we got the other items. We loved the Post when we first started going, but the last five or six times we've gone we have felt a bit queasy afterwards. I'm not sure if it's just that the food is rich or if the chicken wasn't cooked properly (I've wondered a couple of times if it was fully cooked). We've had some positive and very negative experiences service-wise, too. It's hit and miss, but we still go there occasionally. We stopped in today after snowshoeing and had Braiden take care of the four of us today. He was spot on on getting our menus, water and drinks. The food was incredible and very fresh. One of the most clean restaurants we have been in, and the staff were all very conscious about wearing masks and gloves. The seats were being disinfected as soon as the customer got up and left. We had an excellent experience at The Post in Boulder! Food was great, and the service was absolutely top notch. Our waitress was friendly, attentive, and patient when it took us awhile at the outset to decide what we wanted. The manager, Garrett, stopped by our table to see how we were doing and was so friendly and helpful! You could tell he really cared about the experience people have at his establishment. Very odd experience. The food was spectacular - but it took a long, long time (more than 45 min) to get to us, and no one checked in with us or provided an update during that time. It felt at times like our waitress was actively avoiding our eye contact and our efforts to get more info, though when we did flag her down she was friendly. We thought our order of biscuits would come out first but they actually didn't arrive until we were all very nearly done eating. The lighting inside is so strange - the lights above the tables are barely bright enough to see the menu, but at the same time your eyes are accosted by the bright lights spilling out down the hallway from the kitchen. It makes for a very odd ambiance, at once very stark and intense but also quite dim and depressing. The food is the only reason I would consider returning, it was truly delicious. I would likely choose a different location in the future - and I would absolutely make sure not to arrive already hungry. read more

5/22/20 For $15, their Chicken Tender "Platter" consists of three 4" frozen tenders and comes with soggy fries. Yeah, you read that right. 3 lousy tenders and $.50 worth of fries for $15. I don't give out 5 star reviews easily so this place really wowed me. I ordered the post fried chicken sandwich made Nashville hot and it was so crispy and perfectly cooked. The fact that it didn't get soggy actually amazed me. The sauces paired very nicely as well. I also ordered the mash potatoes on the side which were to die for. There were a few things I would change however they aren't pressing enough that I would make this review 4 stars. 1. It would be nice if there were more options to the way you could get your fried chicken served 2. The sandwich I did get could've used a little more sweetness, the flavors were great but didn't send me through the roof 3. We stopped in Boulder on our way back to Silverthorne, and walked around Pearl Street. Found the Post Brewing Co. and decided to stop for a drink. It's great because they open up the front doors and it's like you're right outside, even while sitting inside at the bar. One thing I really appreciated was the bartender not only came right over, but immediately poured two glasses of water for us! Yes, I know, it's important to hydrate up here in the mountains, but this is the first place that did this (at a bar) and we didn't even have to ask. He even refilled our water bottles before we left. We hit happy hour so our tab was next to nothing. Full bar with liquor and beer. We didn't eat but the people all around us... we couldn't help noticing what they had. Everything looked and smelled delicious. Good afternoon everyone, me and my son had decided to try this establishment out after our brief time at the University of Colorado. We were both hungry and he was tired of walking . We had got seated pretty quickly and they had gave us water soon as we were seated. I had ordered the Chicken Chiccarones appetizer and hadn't realized this spot was on Diners drive ins and dives till I was reading the menu. I decided to google them and I was all in to try the Chiccarones, my son had ordered a waffle with mash potatoes... yea I know, it's a weird combination but that's what he wanted. While visiting Boulder my family and I decided on fried chicken for dinner. We searched yelp and chose Post Brewing. We ordered the deviled eggs for starters, which were very tasty, the egg mixture was creamy with bits of fried chicken skins and topped with a small piece of celery. Our entree's included a whole fried chicken with two sides, mashed potatoes and gravy and Mac and cheese with jalapeño pepper. The chicken was excellent, crispy skin, juicy interior with good flavor. Mashed potatoes were very good with a chorizo gravy, excellent. I enjoyed the Mac and cheese mainly because of the peppers, that extra kick was delicious. We have friends who live a few blocks away, and this is where they wanted to take us for dinner while we were visiting Boulder. This was such a fun stop, and having lived in California for the last ~5 years, this was a welcome taste of Sweet Home Alabama! We were eating for 4, with plans for some gooooood leftovers: There was a wait when we arrived, and they took our name and phone number, so we were good to wander around the block. The wait was estimated 30-40 minutes, so we stepped into a bar for 1 drink. They called to say our table was ready about 12 minutes later! We actually requested to be moved down the list because we weren't expecting them to be quicker than anticipated, and they accommodated. We were quickly seated when we arrived 20 minutes later. Our table service was quick and friendly, with knowledgeable recommendations of the craft beer menu. What food we ordered: Cheddar biscuits 2/5 :: definitely not perfect southern biscuits; they a little bland. I felt like they just needed more salt and a huge dollop of butter, but I also know that I'm both a cheese and biscuit snob 2 birds, 1 Hot Chicken and 1 Regular Chicken 5/5 :: from this southerner, this was some goooood fried chicken. Juicy and crunchy, and that hot chicken had some perfect kick. (And yes, this was a lot of chicken, which I reheated on the cheddar biscuit for breakfast the next morning!) Beets and Sweets 3/5 :: aka roasted beets and sweet potatoes. Yummy! But not the star of the show Grits 5/5 :: maybe the star of the show, but I just love grits the way Grandmomma used to make 'em. The Post has entered my top three for BEST. BRUSSELS. SPOUTS. EVER. These crispy, dark, oily (in a good way), and perfect specimens made for an excellent quick dinner in Boulder, along with the masterful sweets and beets (sweet, fluffy goat cheese + pesto = YeS). The Post doesn't go crazy with sweet/sour or spicy tastes on their sprouts (as many of my favorites do), and they STILL take the cake. Would do again! Now, in some ways, this review is weak on my part, because I had neither a beer nor any chicken, both of which I quite like under normal circumstances. We also could not stay for dessert - a true regret I will carry with me for the rest of my days (or until the next time I'm in Boulder). That whoopie pie was calling my name, almost as loudly as the small kids behind us whose horrific squealing drove us out a bit early (you win some, you lose some, amirite?). Definitely worth sharing. The Burger, Brussels, and side Green Chili Mac-n-Cheese were all equally as delicious - they even split the burger for us! The service was beyond par. We really enjoyed this southern style home cooking restaurant brewery! We had the family love meal with the beets and sweets, mashed potatoes, biscuits, BLT & a side of waffles! Everything was so delicious! The chicken was PERFECT, the beers were perfect! My toddler doesn't usually like mashed potatoes, but she Loved these! Service was great, our food came out fast, plenty of tvs around to watch, when you walk back towards the bathrooms you can see the brewery area. Bathrooms are clean and have a baby changing table. This brewery is conveniently located near a strip of shops which makes it nice to walk after your meal. We will definitely be back. read more

We went to the Fort Collins "location" not realizing it's not an actual restaurant. The host at Jax was very nice and accommodating helping us find the "location" and then explaining to us that it is a "ghost kitchen." We went out of our way to stop here and were disappointed to find out we'd have to order takeout. We figured we'd still give it a try and the host was kind enough to point us in the direction of a park two blocks away where we could go eat our takeout. We ordered the family meal with 8 pieces (we got half Nashville hot) with biscuits, Mac and cheese, and mashed potatoes with gravy on the side. What we got was our 8 pieces, corn bread (no biscuits), Mac and cheese, and mashed potatoes with gravy already mixed in. The chicken was great. The cornbread hard and lacking any corn flavor - would have rather had the biscuits that should have come with our meal. The mashed potatoes and gravy were red potatoes with brown gravy mixed in when we asked for it on the side - not what we were hoping for when we got mashed potatoes. The macaroni and cheese was spiral pasta with some sort of cream and black pepper. Most of the pasta on top had barely any cream and when we got to the bottom we found all the cream that should have been mixed onto the pasta. Again, not what we were expecting when we ordered Mac and cheese - was more like Mac and cream (more like Alfredo and not much of it till we got to the bottom). A buddy of mine recommended we go here for lunch due to a conversation involving how much I enjoy a good chicken sandwich. OH MAN the chicken here is DELICIOUS. Seriously one of if not the best chicken sandwich I've ever had. I ordered the post fried chicken sandwich, and got it Nashville hot style. It wasn't super hot, but spicy enough where you could still taste every scrumptious bite. My friend got the same thing, just regular style (which I'll have to try next time). The atmosphere was nice, and seemed like a good spot to go grab a drink any night of the week.
