Do Not Have Any Repairs Done There.Unfortunately they are a Gravely dealer,although my next step is to call Gravely direct and let them know how badly this company is representing them.Poor customer service and unprofessional staff.After 550.00 dollars and 3 trips of taking it back because it was in worse shape than when I initially took it in, I was told it would be another $2,200.00 to fix it.Needless to say I picked up my mower and will never deal with the Power Barn again. read more

I had Power Barn pick up my 3 year old Craftsman tractor for a tune up and to check a grinding noise, They picked it up, called me a few days later and said it need a new 'spindle' in addition to tune up. I said okay, go ahead...3 days later they called and said 'oh, it also needs a new transmission" and my total was going to be over $1000! I said no and return my tractor! They returned it and it was taken apart! A belt was hanging down, the old spindle and parts were just sitting on the seat and the battery was all unhooked!!! When I called them, it was 'oh, we're sorry we will come and get it, then they never did!!! When I called again, they said they didn't know anything about picking it up again! purchased a batterry operated lawnmower as a gift for adult daughter.....wanted to give her a nice surprise this spring and ease her work load, anyways to my surprise she had purchase all battery operated lawn equipment in the previous fall and did not need this....... THATS WHERE THE BULLCRAP starts with THE power BARN!!!!!!!!!! purchased the lawnmower on 4/13/2022 and RETURNED it on 4/18/2022..... They tell you one thing one day and then tell you they didn't from other employees the next. absolutely no communication unless you do it your self For days on end. I paid $600 for a small snowplow blade to be put on my lawnmower, it took them from November until mid March to actually complete the task. Every time I called them and asked about it they kept telling me one to three more days. When it finally was finished there was a snow storm and they said they couldn't deliver it until afterwards and I asked if I could get a discount for the inconvience and they said no because it wasn't their fault that they couldn't get it done in a timely manner. This place is extremely unprofessional and deflected everything else as someone else's problem or responsibility and never even apologized. I will never go back there. read more

Its too bad there isn't a lower rating than one star. I had a 2 year old saw that quit working unexpectedly. I made attempts to fix it, but it was clear that there was something wrong that I couldn't see (not drawing fuel). I replaced the carb to no avail. I finally decided to drop it off there (where we had purchased it) figuring the problem would be resolved. Long story short, they have had the saw for TEN WEEKS now, and we getting the run around, including "we are going to try another carb" (OBVIOUSLY NOT THE ISSUE) and "we will contact the Husqvarna rep (STILL hasn't happened) ... not to mention the owner of the place is very hard to deal with and called the employees at my place of work names and saying we probably don't use the saw anyways because we are all lazy. TERRIBLE customer service - hard to believe they are still in business treating their customers like this. Never going back. read more

Just when I thought I got a refund from the Power Barn for selling me the wrong part, my bank statement shows I got a refund, them they charged me again for the wrong part! AKA Jackson Outdoor Equipment. Worst customer service in the parts department one could never hope to experience. Looking for a retainer ring for a common Dana transaxle, millions of which have been sold. First question out of her mouth use..."did you buy it here". My answer was no, it is off a Craftsment lawn tractor. I had the retainer ring with me and the axle it went to but no, insisted I needed the part number. Mind you this is a way common transaxle where most shops would know immediately what I needed. After a snotty response, she went back to look for one and came back with nothing even close but said she had bins full of these clips but without a "part number" that was all she could do. I said fine I'll go elsewhere, which is clear on the other side of town and since she wouldn't even attempt to work with me on this, it would be the last time I set foot in that store again. Thought it was over? Nooooo, the shop mechanics (kids) decided it would be fun to throw taunts my way as I was walking back to my auto and I reminded them that they should act in such a manner as Jackson/Michigan Center isn't that big of a town and word will spend quickly and the type of business is being run there. My golf league and my customers at my part time convenience store gig will indeed here all about my experience with these people. SAD. And small business wonder why so many resort to to the internet and buy online. read more
