My second visit I got different lady, she took 2 minutes to clean my face put mask on my face and was texting to someone all the time. After she did face massage, I definitely wasn't satisfied as I was after my first visit. I went to ask if I can have First Lady next time but she wasn't working there anymore. I had to extract all black heads myself when I got home . My third visit I was ready to use all my Spanish vocabulary to explain I need extractions and not massage. When I came for my appointment the receptionist asked me why I came and said I don't have appointment and pretty much didn't have any interest in fixing this problem. We don't schedule for Saturday's anymore, well I was scheduled way before and it would be nice to call and notify that appointment was cancelled. She had zero interest to take care of it. So I had nothing to do but to leave, it takes me about 40 minutes to get there for nothing!

I am a federal employee who is not allowed to work because of the furlough. Needless to say, having…read moreno income and being denied the right to work is incredibly stressful. Add to that some severe knee pain that prevents me from my normal exercise routine, and I was pretty miserable. I took advantage of a deal and after one acupuncture treatment, I had considerable relief in my knee. I returned the following week for another treatment. That was a rough day for me...I hit a wall of frustration over not working. Lauren W. and Nathan K. saw my stress and delved into the cause. They were patient, listened, made me laugh and, above all, were EXCEEDINGLY kind. Kindness is a sort of medicine too. I have a good support network of family and friends, but there is something about the kindness of strangers that elevates it. It really was overwhelming. They conferred on my second treatment, and I got all needled up. If you are a skeptic like me, just let go of that crap and give it a go. It really is extraordinary. i am an extremely curious person, and Nathan and Lauren were patient in answering, not with some high-falutin' dismissive attitude, but with humor and a matter-of-factness that instilled confidence. I would be remiss ifI did not also thank Denys and the others from my first visit, who were also very kind. Give this place a shot...you'll be impressed.

MILITARY VETERANS AND OTHERS STAY CLEAR!…read more I had a terrible experience with this massage school, and I feel compelled to warn others. First off, they never explained that housing benefits would cease during the clinical portion of the program. As a veteran, getting housing allowance while going to school is an amazing benefit and one that we don't want to miss out on. This isn't a problem at other schools like MDC. This critical information was omitted, leading me to drop out. I had one class left before finding this out. To add insult to injury, they charged me $200 for leaving the program and even made me pay for my transcripts. The main teacher, Mrs. Kim, made the entire experience unbearable. She was unprofessional, borderline psycho, and made the program so miserable that I no longer wanted to continue. She even went as far as holding me after class in an attempt to break me as a person. Her behavior was incredibly weird, and the only relief came when she finally left. Her brother was a way better teacher. He didn't seem to use the class as much as an ego stroke or soapbox like it was for his sister Kim. The program itself is a joke. The tests are poorly written, and the professors seem more interested in passing students through than actually teaching the material. There's no syllabus provided, making it nearly impossible to prepare for exams or understand what content to focus on. This place is a mess, and it's telling that they don't allow Google reviews--probably because they know how bad the feedback would be. Instead, you're forced to leave reviews on Yelp, where it's harder for the truth to come out. All in all, I do not recommend this program at all. Save your time, money, and sanity by looking elsewhere.

They have mistreated my elderly mother with dementia as well when she asked about some uneven cuts to the back of her bob. We were told, if you don't like it you can come back for someone else to fix it. (Not just fix it now during her appointment.) I advocated for my cut and educator confirmed. I signed the paperwork. The student refused to do what the educator said and was short with me on multiple occasions though I had never met her. Despite me then asking nicely to respectfully please do as we agreed on with the educator, she refused. I asked to speak to the educator again if we can discuss this. It was the fifth time this had come up but she kept pushing it off and was upset she had to do it at the end and learn the technique. The haircut itself was exceptionally slow and took like 2.5H. What in the world?! Their quality has gone down terribly and they don't care whatsoever for their customers.

They almost deserve 0 stars, my experience was good with the staff they seem nice and treat you all…read moreright BUT it was AWFUL in the sense that i almost learnt nothing. I did the HHA and CNA course with them because it was closer to my house. It was going smoothly since i received my classes normally, (You don't really get to touch the mannequin at all, they tend just to show you) until test week came. I paid everything, they already had my money so they didn't care about me passing or not. I asked to pay for review classes, they told me the teacher was in vacation or something like that,(i had called the week prior to know if i could get the review classes the test week and they said yes) they told me the days i could "practice for free" were full. The literally left me with no choice other than look up for other place IN THE WEEK THAT I MOST NEEDED TO PRACTICE... i went to another school and they taught me IN 2 DAYS what I didn't learn in that school in the 2 weeks and a half i was there. I also realized in the other school that this place taught me some things WRONG that would have failed me on my test. If my experience can help somebody PLEASE DO NOT GO TO THIS SCHOOL FOR PASSING THE CNA TEST PURPOSE YOU WILL MOST LIKELY FAIL. Si mi experiencia puede ayudar a alguien, POR FAVOR NO VAYAN A ESTA ESCUELA CON EL PROPÓSITO DE PASAR LA PRUEBA DE CNA, PROBABLEMENTE REPROBARÁ!

I love the "drama free" She was always understanding and really pushed me to get better. I will really miss her a lot! I need to thank Mr Robert, the director for guiding me as well and always being understanding of my situation ( I am a mom of two). Always encouraging, never pushy. I have read the negative reviews regarding the hours and payments. Thankfully it has never happened to me. They actually helped me regarding my hours. I don't think it is fair to expect them to hand us everything on a platter. I got my money worth and I am absolutely happy to have chosen boca beauty! Their teachers are amazing! Miss Ayden (the make up teacher) is a gem as well. Full of knowledge and very caring. She knows her stuff! So in conclusion, I would absolutely recommend boca beauty! If you are goal oriented and focused, this place is just for you. I have always raised my concerns to my teacher or the director, and was always satisfied with the outcome. Thank you boca beauty!! I will miss you!

RUN, GET AWAY WHILE YOU CAN. They will GLADLY take your money and NEVER give you the experience you…read morepaid for. Also can't keep a teacher to save their life (Boca campus) The skin teacher is always replaced with a sub because she has to fill in for the cosmo or other course teachers due to them quitting or being fired, so the ones in the actual esthetician program are left without an instructor. The Boca campus is a complete JOKE they care more about their image than the integrity of their school. It's sad to see so much money go towards the funding of their lifestyle rather than the benefit of students. We were only allowed to use 2 wax strips per waxing session because the school refused to buy/provide more. The student "desk" are outdated. The towels in the Nail course have dry acrylic on them so they're hard and rough and haven't been replaced in YEARS. So are the towels for skin, they're torn up. The desk also have old dried up substances, only God knows what they are. Most of the equipment has not been updated. And God forbid a teacher cares enough to bring in her OWN salon supplies so the students get a better experience. NOPE, my teacher got in trouble for bringing in supplies. The director or whoever is in charge much rather make decisions based on emotion than what's best for student learning. Also witnessed my teacher get attacked by a student which was already sad within itself but the director was more concerned about saving the schools image rather than helping when authorities arrived. Didn't even see her check on my teacher (she may have after the fact but it wasn't her priority for sure) If you're looking to just get a degree without the learning then I'd say go for it. But the experience will most likely not be worth your money unless you get a teacher who genuinely cares (they typically quit or get fired when they try speaking up). You can definitely get a better experience for the same price elsewhere. Cosmo tends to have a bit of a better experience just bc I'm sure the funding is different so the school invest in them more but every program should have an equal opportunity especially giving the fact it's not cheap. However, I heard the Parkland campus isn't so bad. Also received NO help throughout my graduation process I didn't know I was graduating until the day of and they do NOT help you obtain your license or job placement. U literally leave and just never comeback, the most help I received was an email with the link for my license. By far the most DISGUSTING staff and school I have ever came across in the beauty industry. The school is just sorry overall and most people will not enjoy their experience attending here. God bless the teachers there who genuinely care.

After…read moreyears of dedication, completing all program requirements, and maintaining strong grades, I was unjustly accused of academic dishonesty without any hearing or due process. My grades were voided, my diploma was revoked, and I was blocked from sitting for the NCLEX exam, directly impacting my professional future. Despite submitting medical documentation and letters from instructors attesting to my integrity, the school disregarded my appeal and denied me the opportunity for a fair and impartial review. Additionally, there are serious concerns regarding internal conflicts of interest that cast doubt on the transparency of the process. I am not writing this out of revenge, but out of a sincere desire to prevent others from enduring the same nightmare. I strongly urge prospective students to thoroughly research this institution before enrolling. Ask about the appeal process, the use of platforms like ExamSoft, and your rights as a student. Do not let your future fall into the hands of an administration that does not guarantee fairness or transparency.
