    Broken window

*****Beware of BURGLARY***** I went to visit a friend at what seemed to be a nice gym on a guest pass because I was interested in possibly joining. While at the gym, my vehicle window was smashed in, while parked on the front row of the parking lot in broad daylight. Expensive personal belongings were stolen from me and the gym security footage quality was not good enough to capture the burglars license plates. Gym management seemed to care but ultimately said it was "just one of those things."

I feel conflicted about whether I want to post this review or keep it to myself as long as possible, this place is a little slice of heaven on Earth. It is so clean and beautiful. The crew here is so nice and friendly. Free coffee. Abundance of snacks and goodies. State of the art equipment and NO WAIT LINES, good ventilation--the AC is not BLOWING IN YOUR FACE but rather sets a nice cool temperature, the whole place smells fresh all day, the music isn't loud or obnoxious--quiet, no blaring loud advertisements, no nosy equipment neighbors... I could go on. Check out their class schedule on their website, see photos, schedule a visit. https://thepreservehouston.com/ Make sure to give Brodie a high five because that guy is so on-point.

Morning yoga outside with amazing weather.

Awesome place. If you're looking for a more family vibe this place is for you. Completely not the corporate BS of gyms like LA Fitness or 24hr. And not the stuffy, pushy, classes so packed you have to use a corner such as Equinox.

    Beautiful views throughout.

We are a retired, long-married couple who joined LifeTime Fitness four years ago. We joined after…read moreour son, a long-time member of the Life-Time Fitness Signature River North Club in Chicago urged us to check it out after another national chain where we worked out suddenly was unable to keep its swimming pools and locker/shower rooms operational (and clean) and the workout machines in repair. LTF had bought out the previous operator, City Club, and invested millions in renovating and updating the facility. We met at and continued, as a couple to gravitat to large health clubs in different cities where we worked and lived for over fifty years. During the tour, where we were shown the various centers for weight training, the outdoor swimming complex, yoga studios, Pilates studio, ballet barre, a full service cafe and a very impressive spa/salon, and recovery room, I commented, "Goodness, I could live here very happily." We both have been very pleased with our experience there and feel that it is well what we pay for our membership. We travel a lot and have visited LTF clubs in different cities and have been pleased by the consistency of the programs, facilities and maintenance of a clean and functional facilitiy. We are usually there, working at maintaining our heath, both mental and physical a minimum of five days each week. But, I am writing this hot mid-July Sunday in 2026, to give two thumbs up to the entire LTF staff and management for the annual extravaganza, Poolchella, that was held over most of two days on two successive weekends bracketing our nation's 250th 4th of July celebration. It is one of the regularly scheduled music and dance events offered across the year on weekend days or weekend evenings described as adult get-togethers. That part I guess, is true but incomplete. The club's bar had two or three men and women constantly assembling cocktails and other libations, sandwiches, plates and snacks which were delivered to the many people out on the expansive, pool deck that has a variety of green and flowering plants. A succession of DJ's laid down very nicely synched non-stop pop and rock music tracks. The music drew me outside where I completed over 20 one/fifth of a mile circumnavigations of the pools where I ambled along at about 4.2mph movin' 'n groovin' to the 125 bpm beat the male and female MCs were laying down for well over an hour. It was hotter than hell under the sun in H-Town. I didn't care. I hydrated and took breaks to assess my well-being before picking up the pace over and over again. The LTF club leadership, GM Randy Doty and Club Membership Concierge Desiree Cortez, also provided floaty toys and a bounce pit and a variety of other kiddie attractions to enable entire young families to have a great holiday memory. And, therein lies the reason why this particular "urban country club" is so popular. The club offerings--from traditional solo weigh lifting to yoga, dance, Tai-Chi, strength, Pilates, cycling, swimming and group fitness classes welcomes not only the traditional gym rats and a surprising number of former college and professional athletes. They also offer a rich mix of classes that are directed to people like ourselves (AKA Aroras) who have made it to age 55 and beyond and understand that muscles do not age out as long as they are regularly and responsibly exercised. We routinely take classes with men and women who are well into their 70's, 80's and 90's and are still at it. But, LTF also has a very impressive kiddie care facility, so mom's and dad's can take advantage of the Club's classes, very clean family changing, showering locker room, use the cafe or the assigned out-of-the-office work area and get a mani-pedi, massage, assisted stretching session or work out with one of the many personal trainers, confident that their babies and toddlers and little kids are kept busy, clean and safe. For my wife and me, the Greenway Club is a central part of our Houston retirement. We enjoy the tri-part goals of LTF Arora--"Healthy. Active. Social." Bravo Randy, Desiree and the terrific crews!!

Obviously the monthly fee isn't cheap but it usually comes with the territory if you sign back for membership. Working out or spending time here is more of a lifestyle and the amenities it has to offer. There's always trade-offs and membership cancellation in pretty much anywhere you go can be an issue or challenge, but I find all things this place has to offer out-weigh any potential downside. With all that said I think its worth the money to be a member here. And I particularly enjoy hanging out at the pool on those lazy days.

There is parking for the gym when driving up the ramp that's close to the side of the plaza facing Cummins St. It can sometimes be a little tricky navigating the entry and exit to the plaza because of the Costco gas station, which tends to have long lines. I go to this location a couple of times a week and usually it's not overly crowded and you can access most of the equipment. I've noticed some of the treadmills were out of service, so if you go at peak hours you may have difficulty finding one working. The equipment seems ok but some machines are showing their age. However, the locker room has been clean each time and there are always open lockers to place your belongings. One curious thing is this location is listed as a signature club but I'm not sure what amenities are considered signature compared to a standard location. This one has a basketball court, a group workout room, and a small sauna but no pool. Overall, it's a good all around gym that doesn't feel pretentious and I have no major complaints.

First, you have to get to the Greenway plaza parking garage and enter via the visitor parking entrance for 4-6 Greenway Plaza garage from the 59 feeder road. Once inside the garage, follow the signs for 5 Greenway plaza. It should be the blue colored parking area. There's a pretty big sign that says visitor parking. Then, look for the entrance that says 5 Greenway Plaza. Enter and pass the flower shop on the left, and Pulse fitness is right there. The front desk can validate your parking right away, which was awesome. The outside sitting area before entering this gym was so pretty and filled with bright natural light. If you go here earlier in the day, you can sit in this area and just relax. I heard some food vendors are also open earlier in the day. Inside, this gym was nice. Let me say this again, it's very nice. Like everything was new: their cardio equipment, weights, machines, kettlebells, stability balls, medicine balls, and probably all their other equipment. Their restrooms were clean, and even had a nice sitting area. They had lockers with 3 digit dial codes to secure your belongings. They have nice showers. They have clean towels on every cardio station and on more shelves. They have a filtered water station. I mean, what more could you want? I do have to mention that they don't have your typical weight machines. They have weights but with resistance cords to them. You can feel the weight both going away from and towards starting position. It just takes a bit of getting used to. Leaving the garage is simple. Follow the sign to exit for southwest freeway (Highway 59), and you're good to go. Next time, I will have to inquire about their HIIT classes. So, I will definitely be back.

My car was recently broken into in the gym's parking garage sometime between approximately 1:30 a.m. and 3:00 a.m. Although the garage has good lighting, there does not appear to be any meaningful monitoring or security presence during those hours. What is even more disappointing is the manager's apparent lack of interest in addressing the safety and overall condition of his own facility. Members should not have to worry about their vehicles being broken into while they are inside working out. Good lighting alone is not enough. The garage needs active camera monitoring, regular security patrols, and a clear response plan when incidents occur. The conditions inside the gym are also unacceptable. The locker room is regularly dirty and does not appear to be cleaned properly. I have seen pubic hair left on the floor, and the steam room is often unsanitary as well. Broken machines remain out of service instead of being repaired or replaced in a timely manner. There are also frequently homeless individuals sleeping inside the gym, which raises additional safety and sanitation concerns for paying members. The facility continues to deteriorate, and management does not appear interested in correcting the problems. A manager should take pride in the gym, listen to members, and ensure that the property is safe, clean, and properly maintained. Instead, these issues have been allowed to continue while members are still expected to pay full membership fees. I expect the break-in and the ongoing concerns about security, cleanliness, and maintenance to be taken seriously. Immediate improvements are needed before another member becomes a victim or someone is harmed.

Since I mapped it out beforehand, I knew where to park and how to get to the gym. This was a fairly large shopping area, but EQX was right there, and the desk is there in front once you enter. There was a really nice girl this day with long braids, and she directed me upstairs to the locker room and informed me that parking validation was not necessary at this time; the gate just went up as you pulled up to it. Perfect! After going upstairs, I did wander around and then a trainer directed me over to the locker room, which was spacious and very clean. The fitness floor is on the second, and as soon as I found the treadmills, I knew where I belonged. Light movement in the stretching area after, and then back to a shower with decent water pressure. What I was fascinated with was how friendly staff was. Trainers actually smiled and said goodbye which you won't normally see in California or New York. I certainly wasn't at home! Compared to other locations, this one was very low-key, although I admit I came during the afternoon where it was probably quieter. I had forgotten this is the location that I was in contact with back in 2020 when I had ordered some masks from their shop since they were actually open. Brice balances the sessions so that your whole body gets a workout over the week. And he is big on stretching. He works hard to plan productive sessions where your time is valued.
