Chill spot. High end bar-type/ American food. Good with a cold beer. Kinda pricey. Be aware there's a 20% automatic gratuity AND a 5% employee fee BS too. Crazy how restaurants just keep tacking on more fees to go out.

I had such a great time here! It resembled The Old Pro, but felt much more clean, renovated, and spacious. The bull is even still there, but he's "retired" (not rideable anymore). You can order samples of beers and ciders, and you can easily modify menu items to fit your dietary restriction. I loved the battered fries. The service was also so efficient with very friendly waitstaff. I can't wait to go back! Food: 8/10 Drinks: 10/10 Service: 10/10 Ambiance: 9/10 Vegan-friendly: 8/10

I grew up in Palo Alto, and the Old Pro was always a constant for me. From family dinners to high school reunions to countless afternoons watching games. It holds a lot of memories. The new Pro is nice. The remodel is well done and the space feels fresh and updated. I do miss the old U-shaped bar where you could see and chat with people across from you. But overall they did a really nice job. We only had drinks this visit, so I can't speak to the food yet. The cocktails are definitely on the pricey side, but they're creative and fun. My friend ordered a cosmo that came with a bubble of citrus smoke on top, which was a fun touch. I had a dirty Shirley (with three cherries, appreciated!), and we finished with espresso martinis topped with gold flakes. The drinks were good, just be prepared for the $$$. One thing to note: from 3-5pm they only serve a very limited menu. With sports on all day, it would be nice to be able to order full menu items during that window. Hopefully that's temporary, but it's worth knowing if you're hoping for a full meal mid-afternoon. We'll definitely be back to try the food.

Quick take: Banh Mi French Dip The jalapeños inside the sandwich were fire hot spicy. Removed some of it while my lips were burning. Lol The dipping broth was way too salty. Sandwich was ok. The side of fries were very good. The no meat nachos were good. My mocktail drink was good. Came in for HH. The place filled up fast. The place is newly renovated. Service was good. Dropped off a little bit when it got bus

Chicken Parmesan sandwich was amazing!

Went on the pre opening night and what a success. Food was delicious, the place is redone super well and service was great and fast. It's going to be the IT place in the Peninsula. Just the right amount of TV so you are in a sports bar but it's not cheesy. High class cocktail and other drinks. Highly recommend.

The Pro is a relatively new sports bar in downtown Palo Alto with a nice clean, elevated vibe. Service from Nora was kind and attentive. The sausage (made in-house) on the pizza was quite flavorful; the pizza was delicious--I would order it again--though the crust in the middle was slightly soggy /wet. The grilled salmon didn't stand out. Pork Belly Banh Mi with pho dipping sauce was delightful! The bread was a little thick, but it was delicious nonetheless. We will be back for Trivia Night!

Smoking sazerac! Oh my, prepare to be impressed! Only few bucks more than a craft beer?

So much to love here! I was an old Pro fan back when it was around and oh boy! They transformed the interior in a way that pays homage to the OP and turns a page to what it is now. I saw sports fans, former Stanford alums, locals, families, it was nice to see! We did not eat but the cocktails were on the higher scale $ yet very tasty! My only minus here is - beer pricing - what in the world!? $12 bones for a draft that costs them a couple bucks to pour - mmm, nah gonna buy a beer & that sucks as it's the Pro! In my opinion a pricey brew is $9, a great price is $7, and an acceptable price based is around $8. They have one Old Pro beer for $6 and you bet I had that! I had a couple cocktails and that's where this place shines! The Sazerac, Espresso Martini and Old Fashioned are exquisite and worth it based on both taste and presentation. Enjoy the Pro but please wake up and smell the brewery- ease up on the 12 buck beer!

Bora is the sweetest bartender and best skinny margarita I've ever had. Despite being short staffed my experience was elite.

This might sound like a dumb review, but something about my bartender at Scotty's impressed me…read more I went in on a recent Thursday at happy hour. There was one other guy at the bar. I asked for a shot and beer special, with a beyond burger, which was excellent. I added some cooked jalapenos to the burger. The bartender's name was Johnny, I believe. At some point, I dribbled ketchup on my shirt without noticing. Now, with only two low maintenance guests, most guys would probably be looking at their phone while waiting for us to ask for something. Johnny never did. He was right there with a cloth and a glass of seltzer to help me with my shirt stain. In other words, he was friendly and paying attention. That's valuable and welcome. Scotty's is a friendly space overall, and I like stopping in before a show at the Stanford Theater, for instance.

The bartender was quick to help us and super friendly. We both had regular margaritas and they were good! We had just come from dinner so we didn't order any food, but I'd like to try it in the future since it seems like good pricing, especially for the area. The space itself is pretty small but it's nice to have another bar downtown! I look forward to returning.

Josue also let us know we could get a free mango lassie per review we wrote on Google - so we got 5 out of 7 for free. We also ordered the large chicken tikka pizza, palak paneer pizza, and the lamb kebab pizza. The lamb kebab was a bit on the drier side. The palak paneer was a bit spicy and very yummy. The chicken tikka was the best and continues to be my favorite! The atmosphere is good for a group. Love the open wall situation to let in fresh air and give good ambience. The bar is a nice touch in a place like this. It's great to have half tables/booths and half high tops to give the casual vibe that matches their menu perfectly. Price wise, this place is a bit on the high end for pizza, especially for just 2 people, but as a group its perfect to split a pie or two or three. Overall, great experience!

Everyone raves about the deviled eggs (I'm not a deviled egg person myself, but they're clearly a crowd favorite). The beer selection is always strong, and pitchers are available, which is a big plus. The outdoor seating is excellent -- both the front area and the back patio, though I prefer the back. Tons of heaters, lots of TVs, and it's a great place to watch a game. The bar itself has a dusty, old-school vibe with a lot of character, which really adds to the charm. Prices are standard for Menlo Park -- meaning high, but pretty much what you expect for the area. Service is okay overall. I definitely recommend ordering inside rather than outside, as the service tends to be better indoors.

Trophies, little league decor on the walls, arcade games, a pool table, its very nostalgic. There's also a nice outdoor patio if you want fresh air. They've got plenty of beers on tap, plus cocktails and wine. You order at the counter, and there's basically an assembly line of cooks pumping out food. They hand you one of those buzzer things that goes off when your order's ready. Wait time wasn't bad at all. We ordered a 9-inch pizza, a burger, chicken tenders, and a French dip. The food was solid, but nothing crazy. The pizza came out nuclear hot, almost burnt myself haha. The burger was pretty plain. The tenders were decent. The French dip was probably the standout, actually pretty fire. Overall, the food is fine, not bad, just kind of mid. This place is more about the vibe than the cuisine. It's basically an overhyped sports bar with classic bar food. But also a Menlo Park staple to kick back and have a few drinks.

It is my pleasure to say my reservation this past weekend was nothing short of phenomenal! Sofia, our server and Sam, the GM made our visit very memorable with their kind, attentive, and energetic service. Their recommendations for cocktails, wine, and food were all fabulous and demonstrated great attention to detail on their end when prompted with what we all liked. I was touched by Sam's gesture of surprising me with a hand-crafted lychee cocktail, on the house. He remembered that this was my most favorite fruit and reminded me of my home back in Hawaii. Overall, the drinks and food arrived extremely quickly and were presented beautifully. Everything tasted even better than I remembered! The short rib was tender and everything on the plate went well together. I loved the Yorkshire pudding! It was soft and had an eggy flavor. The truffle pasta had a very mushroomy flavor that I loved. I was not a fan of the lobster roll because the lobster did not taste fresh and fell out of the New England roll. Over all, I enjoyed most of the food and hope to go back to give it a second try.
