    Wife and I enjoying Music

Okay we finally went, it's been open a year and yesterday was your first visit, sorry. Overall it was a great experience, the vibe was on point no mistaking it for anything else than a Irish pub, the beer and Cider brought back good memories of our time in Ireland, service was amazing she was there just the right amount and it was quick as well, my wife ordered the fish and chips and I ordered the Irish Puff which was basically a corned beef sandwich toasted, it was delicious great corned beef, and I substituted French fries instead of the chips which would be crisps, so I had chips with my Irish Puff, they had Guiness Stew and Shepards pie but I'm extremely picky with those items I love them both and maybe next time I'll try them, the fish and chips were battered perfect and cook need more perfect, they were crispy even in the center and even after a heavy dose of malt vinegar, the chips were cooked perfectly as well, overall the food always delicious, if I had to be petty and split hairs I would say it would have been nice if the Tarter sauce was homemade and not from a packet, the fish was flaky and moist, batter was just the perfect amount, so it was a shame to squeeze a packet of tarter sauce on such delicious food, they had live music which was quite good considering we are in Granbury Texas, overall it was a great surprise, great job Pub McDonough we will be back.

Shepherd's Pie. Below the mashed potatoes is meat to the bottom of the bowl. Delicious.

McDonoughs is a fantastic addition to Granbury's culinary scene. This is the real deal. The fish & chips, Irish stew, and Sheppard's pie are on point, and the service is amazing. If you're into cocktails, they have you covered as well. It's a warm and inviting environment, and the owners are doing are great job of keeping the quality of every dish high. I am so happy we have this great little spot in Granbury. Well done.

The family and I had the "toastie" (corned beef sandwich), the Irish taco "Atlantic style (fried cod)," and an Irish beef stew.

I've been to this location many times, and also the one in Houston. For those who aren't familiar with it, they offer a variety of beers from local brews to beers you'd normally have to travel internationally to find. They also serve a variety of food and other beverages (non beer) It was a lovely evening (temperature-wise) when we stopped by, and we so rarely get those, and we opted to sit outside. I've been inside and there plenty of seating, a couple different areas/rooms, everything is clean, and it feels like a fun, lively, yet cozy pub experience. Outdoors was similar. We sat at a table and played a couple games we brought from home. It was great people watching Our server was very attentive and friendly. We got our drinks in no time, and they were there to continuously check in on us (without hovering). We ordered beers, cocktails, and a little snack (sweet potato fries), and everything was delightful Some tips: Parking can be tricky downtown, but there are plenty of parking garages. I would also consider a ride share just to be safe and to maybe continue the night bar hopping (assuming other bars are open lol). Sundance is right around the corner, and it's definitely worth a stroll if the weather cooperates Also, as I mentioned above, they serve non-beer drinks. So, don't feel obligated to order a beer if that's not your thing. They've also offered a "beer-tour" in the past. Ask your server about that Cheers!!

What an amazing place with a view of Sundance Square. So many beers to choose from. Amazing…read moreinterior with saucers attached on the walls and ceiling.
