This place is so sick and so sad. I had been going trough some personal turmoil, so my mother stopped in here on a whim on her way to visit me in Boston and surprised me with a sweet little Boston terrier she purchased from here two days ago -- and at a hefty cost to her, I must add. She didn't know much about dogs, so she looked fine to her, and while it was such a sweet thing for her to do, the second the little puppy walked over to me I could see she was sick. I am minimally educated about dog health, and could tell right away she had worms by how bloated and swollen her belly was, she had green and yellow mucus crusted to her nose and snout, was very boney and thin, was sneezing constantly and had extremely dry and flaky skin. She also had brown discharge in both ears. This is NOT what a healthy puppy looks like! I called my vet immediately and got her in for an appointment within 2 hours. Came to learn she had a sinus and upper respiratory infection, parasites in her belly and yeast infections in both ears. Her dry, flaky skin is the result of the worms in her belly stealing all her nutrition. I have her on all sorts of meds now, and she is looking better, but the fact that she was ever in this condition to begin with is so wrong. I called the puppy experience to complain and the woman told me the news was concerning to her, she switched vets and didn't like the new vet she was using, she didn't look that bad when she left their facility (it had not even been 24 hours) blah, blah, blah. She seemed empathic, but I'm not buying it. She told me the owner would contact me to discuss the situation, which he never did, of course. And not that it really matters, because there is no real fix here, the damage is already done. I just hope I can get the puppy healthy enough now that she won't have extended health issues later in life from all the malnutrition she experience in her newborn years when development is crucial. These health problems are very typical of puppy mill puppies. These people don't care about animals, they care about money. By NOT buying from them, they will order less and less puppies next month when they don't sell, and will be forced to lower the price on the puppies they do have in order to make some sort profit -- which is all they care about -- and will eventually go out of business. Do not give these people your money and contribute to the further abuse of innocent little animals. If for whatever reason you don't want a rescue, be sure to use a responsible breeder. read more

Cages had so much dog waste in them. In less than 5 minutes saw a dog eating poop and another in the same crate laying in it. Smaller dogs visibly frightened by the incredible amount of barking. This is why dogs get sick. read more

We have had labs all our lives.....honestly none have compared to the Silver Lab that we made our own from The Puppy Experience in July 2019. EVERYDAY my husband and I talk about what an amazing temperament this puppy has had with everyone young and old, every animal young and old, birds, dogs, butterflies...Blake is truly a love bug. The day we went to see if there were any matches for us at The Puppy Experience, the staff was so pleasant and helpful, everything was so clean..this was in July 2019 prior to Covid-19! Blake was from a breeder in Oklahoma and I would recommend other labs from this breeder, as Blake is smart, obedient, quick learner, he's an off leash good behavior 16 month old! We have worked with him everyday as training is a job in itself and you must be willing to put in the time to reap the rewards of a well behaved dog. Just went to the puppy experience to look into getting a dog since we just lost our 8 year old dog to cancer. When we got into the store the woman with the natty black hair with a purple streak greeted us by saying "we are closing in 20 minutes" with a very aggressive eye roll. We were already turned off immediately but stayed none the less because the dogs don't deserve to not have love from us because they obviously don't get any from the workers. She then proceeded to kick us out ten minutes early. IF I COULD GIVE 0 STARS I REALLY WOULD!! Please everyone take a lesson from this and adopt don't shop!! read more

WOW THE EMPLOYEES ARE SO RUDE! I went into to look at some dogs and was incredibly disappointed. The worker that I dealt with was so nasty that I wanted to leave as soon as I walked in she was in her 20s white and had black hair with a purple stripe. After reading the reviews for this place i found a lot of people were having a similar issue and you can tell by the way they answer their yelp reviews they don't care. Not to mention the last time i went in, there was a woman upset about how she had just got a dog from there and the puppy was sick and died within a month. They refused to give her a refund i can safely assume these dogs are from a puppy mill. DO NOT GO HERE! GO LITERALLY ANYWHERE ELSE! read more

I had a terrible experience at this store. The woman working there assumed I had no intentions of buying a puppy and was very disrespectful. They refused to let us hold more than one dog and told us that we were not serious about getting a dog even though no questions were asked about our intentions. We were told we could not hold the dogs that had all their shots afer only holding one, because it was not worth it. The Puppy Experience doesn't give us a great experience. My boyfriend and I wanted to look around and we went at 4:15 on a Tuesday and they were closed. The drive for us was about 30 minutes and we looked online to see what time they closed beforehand, which was 5. Online it says that they are willing to stay after they close, which is completely untrue because we were one of 3 people to try and open the door. The two workers left at 4:30, before the store even closes. We decided to come back the next day a little earlier, we walk in and the woman asked us if we had an appointment, which we didn't. She was extremely rude and made an assumption that we were just looking and that we were not seriously looking for a dog. She said we need and appointment. Online it says it is preferred to have an appointment but walk in is acceptable if there availability is okay. There was two people in the store. This place is extremely rude and their workers are just downright lazy. They claim that they are trying to take precautions because of covid but they don't seem that concerned because she wasnt even wearing a mask. read more

What a terrible lady that works here!! At first, she was very nice and accommodating, as my Mother is allergic to a lot of dogs and after we just lost our fur baby, we put an upcoming puppy on hold for a day or two so they would hold it for us when it came in. This was as per her instruction. We came in as directed and unfortunately that particular puppy did not work well for us, so we immediately declined and received the refundable deposit down...again, as the lady promised. Well, the next time we came down to look at another puppy with no deposit down at that time. It seemed to go well, until we were basically ignored for over 45 minutes of trying to get her attention. At last she came over and we asked if like before we could put a hold and deposit down and come back again to make sure my Mother did not have a reaction. We were then berated in the store full of people, that we had done this before with another puppy and left the puppy on hold for a month and now the original puppy was almost un-sellable. WHAT?? PS The puppy WE looked at originally was sold and we were told that it's BROTHER was put on hold by another customer and they never came back a month later. She apparently mixed us up with another customer and then proceeded to tell us we could NOT put the puppy we were now looking at on hold unless we came back the next day (which was a Sunday and a holiday they weren't even open) and she would not refund a deposit because of someone else's actions. RUDE woman with terrible customer service skills. I am terribly sorry a another customer messed up your day, but to take it out on someone else and berate them in front of customers?? I was so disappointed by my visit to the store yesterday!! I used to love coming here but not anymore! You used to be allowed to pick up all of the dogs, now you can't. Only the older dogs in the back are allowed to be picked up without an employees assistance. That's understandable and I'm totally ok with that. What I'm not ok with is the horrible attitude that I got from the tall thin young lady that was working if I could hold the little Maltese in the front. The sign said "do not touch ask for assistance". So I did and the response was a very rude "not unless you are serious about purchasing it" and then she walked away from me. Ummmmm excuse me why assume I wasn't serious about making a purchase? I was hovering over that crib for a very long time and was not asked if I needed any help or had any questions for the rest of the time I was there. I was serious about purchasing the puppy but not anymore. But because of your poor attitude and lack of interest in your customers I will be taking my business somewhere else. read more

Purchased a mini golden doodle from here 2 months ago for 3,000$! very pricey but it was difficult to find the one we wanted. The staff was whatever. Nothing to complain, but also nothing to praise. They were entirely irrelevant aside from taking a payment; asked about the details of the breeder and where the dog came from and I was told it came from Indiana and the documents were given to me after the purchase was complete. The sales people "assured" me that they would never purchase from a puppy mill; rest assured that's exactly where our puppy came from. All it took was for us to google the previous 'breeders' name and a ton of info about his current and previous puppy mills. Our dog is fine, but the people at the store are involved in some shady behavior with respect to their business. Would not advise getting a puppy from here by any means. read more

This place is the definition of a TERRIBLE " Puppy experience " We went in and the second we walked in we felt extremely uncomfortable and unwanted. We started looking at the pups and I started to pet a pup that jumped up and was kissing my arm I turned around to be yelled at by the NASTY girl that works there saying "DO NOT PET HIM DON'T YOU SEE THE DON'T PET SIGN ?!" I looked around and saw NO sign that said do not pet .. We came around feeding time and I was SHOCKED how these dogs are fed !!! They give them a small amount of wet food on A PIECE OF PAPER !!! Some of the dogs were so hungry that they rushed to eat the food and when the food fell through the grate of the cage the dogs were trying to lick the food up which they couldn't reach !!!! I mean if you are making $1,000 and **UP*** profit on these dogs the LEAST you can do is use food dishes ! come on now ! these dogs literally look like they are begging to get out of there What has come of this disgusting place is INSANE !! I seriously have no idea how they are even still in business !!! I told my boyfriend lets just leave this place is a joke ,and on the way out I watched the same girl who yelled at me BANG ON the glass of a dog who was barking telling him to SHUT UP . I don't understand how you allow RUDE people to run your store !? ( Note this isn't the first time I've I came where this girl was nasty to everyone. You picked this job didn't you? If you don't read through my entire post, please at least pay attention to this: You should DEFINITELY shower and place your clothing into the laundry IMMEDIATELY upon returning home, if you have pets already in the house. DO NOT pet them or stand near them, but race to clean yourself for if you took home any illnesses, WHICH IS HIGHLY LIKELY! Last weekend, my mother and I stopped in and fell in love with a pup. Upon reviewing the contracts and questioning what they all meant, we noticed the pup had a cough. The young girl running the show there took the pup to access and while we continued to question and request HEALTH RECORDS, she swiped the paperwork from my hand and said "I do not feel comfortable selling this dog to you." She not only noticed the cough, but apparently didn't like our questioning either. We left asking her to have the vet check her out and to give us a call that week. As they were apparently DESPERATE to see the pup, coming up on 5 months old and already negotiated to HALF the list price, they called to let me know she was doing better. As she had a "cough" (no actual diagnosis...), they placed her in their QUARANTINE ROOM. This is where all their sick dogs go... so now she's susceptible to other illnesses... I asked how long she must remain there and the answer was "another 3 days until her antibiotics are complete." I then asked if they would finally release her medical records, as they hadn't when we were in their shop. I could tell they would never, as she scrambled in her words, but took down my vet's fax number. Guess what? No records ever came through. I called back the following morning and spoke to someone else. She put me on hold to find out the status of faxing the records and came back on the line to inform me the pup had been purchased... Yes, the SICK PUP WHO WAS TUCKED AWAY IN QUARANTINE... Comical! Moral of this story - If you are looking for a healthy dog, you will NOT get it here... They have no records to provide and only some shitty document they created on Word where they circle YES and COMPLETE for everything... Nothing is done to keep these dogs safe and healthy... Pay attention to ALL of these posts... Nothing good will come of you getting your dog here. PLEASE BE SURE TO SHOWER AND WASH YOUR CLOTHING IMMEDIATELY! I cannot stress this enough! You can bring home kennel cough or even PARVO! Also, prior to showing up, we asked about a recent parvo dog we heard hat came from there. As this woman wasn't shy to speak about it, acknowledged it was a true case, she leaked some additional details to us that show they truly don't take the proper precautions! All dogs coming in there should be vaccinated ahead of time! THEY LET A DOG COME IN WITHOUT THE VACCINATION AND ULTIMATELY CONTRACTED PARVO AND DIED! I got my golden retriever from here in March and she's been amazing.. she's on the smaller side but vet seems to think she may have been the runt. Whatever the reason she's perfect and healthy and makes our family complete. One thing was I wish I had more information about where she came from, but so far so good. There is a rule here that you have to sanitize your hands after you touch each dog. I was following this rule during my visit here and a woman who works here started screaming loudly at me saying to sanitize my hands or I would have to leave. The way she said it was extremely rude and unprofessional, she had a horrible attitude. This makes me even more mad since I was sanitizing my hands after every dog and I was barely touching them. Do not purchase a puppy at this store. I was sold a puppy and he needed to be hospitalized. A vet issued a "not fit for sale" certificate because he had pneumonia. The puppy needed 3 days of oxygen, intravenous antibiotics and nebulizer treatments. $3500 later, this store is breaking the law by not issuing me a refund on the puppy as per the NYS dog and Cat lemon law to help offset the cost of treatment. Bad experience and terrible ethics. This is why puppy stores have terrible reputations. read more
