We never pass up a chance to go to the Quay. Best drinks, food and dinner with a view!

Best meal we had during our week long visit to Myrtle Beach. Cajun pasta with snapper was delicious and so well

Best meal we had during our visit in Myrtle Beach. My husband loved the seafood pasta. It was so fresh and delicious with the clam sauce. The Cajun pasta with snapper was also a top choice. Must try a restaurant when visiting Myrtle Beach.

The hostess needed to be convinced that we REALLY wanted to sit near a window (and finally dodo it when we said we'd leave otherwise). Besides that, we had a great experience. The place is nice and has great views Their food is very good. Service was good despite they were understaffed (late in th season). I recommend this place !

What a great place for seafood! We have been coming to Myrtle Beach for years and have searched for a good sea food restaurant and we finally found one! The setup of the restaurant is a bit odd. You enter from the parking lot onto an elevator. There is dining on the 3nd and 4rd floor of the building. We entered the 3nd floor and were greeted by the manager who was just heading to the 4rd floor himself. He insisted we come to the 4rd floor as it had better views. We were escorted to the "Best seats in the house" which was a corner table with windows on 2 sides, the view was fantastic. (Only wish the weather was better) As for the food, everything was fantastic. The Clam Chowder was one of the best I've ever had! I didn't get a picture of the Crab Cake appetizer (that was also amazing) but I would definitely recommend it. It was mostly crab meat with very little "filler" so it was worth the price. Overall everything was on point and exceeded my expectations. We will definitely be back next visit!

Despite only having drinks at The Quay, I had a fantastic experience and would return again for food (because everyone's meal looked delicious!). The Quay has three levels, which offer indoor, bar, or rooftop seating. Given the beautiful weather, I sat at the (covered) rooftop and enjoyed looking out over the water. The servers were attentive and friendly, and prices were very reasonable for this beachfront restaurant. If you're looking to enjoy a drink or have a meal, this is a great place to visit! They do not take reservations.

The Quay was on my list of places to check out. We went on a Wednesday night around 7:15 and we were able to get a table around 7:40 which was timed perfectly for the sunset. We tried a couple of the tacos - buffalo chicken and fish tacos - which were very good. The sweet potato fries were waffle fries with cinnamon and sugar on top. We also got the salted caramel cheesecake and chocolate mousse cake and both were divine!

This is an open rooftop area in warmer months but with the clear panels and heaters above, it was great for February...look at that sky!!

We had a good drink from the bar while we waited, about 15 mins, for our table. So glad we got there before dark because the sky was gorgeous! We ordered the special: fried flounder. Excellent with a light batter & crispy. Good French fries and very good slaw, and I'm a slaw snob! The service was great as well. It was our first visit but we will return, for sure.

Such a beautiful view, delicious food and great staff

Decided to give this place a try Ate outside up on the 4th floor. Beautiful views of the marina and ocean. The sunset would be beautiful from the deck. We went too early to see it set. Started with the fried green tomatoes. They were good. I had the Cajun snapper, spicy , but not too spicy, it was outstanding. Husband had the scallop Alfredo outstanding as well. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Wanted dessert but was full from dinner. I brought half of my meal home. Definitely will be going back to try other dishes. Give this place a try. Maybe I shouldn't tell anyone so we can get in when we go back again. LOL

    Great food and beautiful view

Also with extra rib sauce on the side. They were tender, smoky, and packed with flavor. The mac and cheese was rich and creamy, and the fries were hot, crispy, and delicious. Before our meal, they brought out warm hush puppies with what I believe was honey butter, and they were so good they disappeared in no time! The atmosphere is fun, welcoming, and family-friendly, and the live music made the whole experience even better. It's easy to see why Dead Dog Saloon has been featured on the Travel Channel and in Southern Living Magazine. Great food, generous portions, excellent service, and an awesome waterfront atmosphere make this a place we'll definitely be coming back to. Highly recommend!

The second time, later that same day, I ordered (upon the recommendation by their awesome employees Sam and Erin) their "Surf and Turf Tacos". They consisted of grilled chipotle-seasoned shrimp & marinated beef tenderloin topped with mango salsa. This was most definitely a Winner!! There's plenty of both inside and outside seating at this Murrell's Inlet waterside establishment. We were outside (which is actually all covered) at the bar which provides great views of the water. Oh yeah, and as one passes through the inside dining on the way to the outdoor bar, be sure to glance to the walls on your right that are covered with dog pictures and photos. Nice! The staff are friendly and helpful. Sam and Erin were working their buttooskies off getting drinks and orders for everyone at the bar and still had time to occasionally stop and chat with the patrons at the bar. Prices are very reasonable, the atmosphere is laidback and friendly, and the food is great! I highly recommend you check them out. In my future bike travels, if I ever return to the Myrtle Beach area, I'm making this a must visit!

This place is so good we came here twice and just know, I DON'T do that. When I'm in a new place I…read morewant to try it all. But The Claw House put up a good argument justifying both visits. Our first and second visit consisted mostly of the same things: Oysters and Calamari to start, Seafood Mac & Cheese and Fish & Chips. I had the lettuce wraps, which are big, so share. And I had Crab Cakes. The wraps were good but they needed a better aioli in my opinion, because it became a sort of watery dressing instead of something sturdier. And the pico de gallo was not actually that. It was diced tomato, onion and had zero taste of lime, salt or spicy. It was fine but could have been killer. My hubby had the Clam Chowder, Pan Seared Grouper and the shrimp Po Boy. He loved the grouper, risotto and the chowder. The fish was flaky and seasoned well. The po boy needed more sauce but was really delicious. My daughter (16) needed a seafood break since she had the fish and chips the first visit and went with the Claw House Burger. She said it was seasoned and that it was indeed 1/4 lb. And Fish & Chips was the best she had had (which, she's had an incredible amount for her young age) -- not too much breading, nice crisp on the outside and juicy fish. The fries both nights were a little chewy but the flavor was there. And how can I forget. Even though on the second night we saw at least five tables start with the Crab Nachos we added a third item, Fried Clam Strips. Those were ridiculously good. I'm not a fan of tartar sauce so I ate it without and it was perfect on its own. Everything was fresh, they paid attention to detail in most individual elements and the location sent it over the top. Definitely worth a visit.

A table of 4 sat a few minutes before we did and a table of 6 sat probably 10 minutes after them. Our table and the table of 6 were served before the group of 4 who had to ask a bus boy for service. Yikes! Server was sweet besides the empty non alcoholic beverage glasses she did not fill when our food came out. She didn't come back to check in on us until my husband's 6 bites of dinner were already gone. I asked if the portion is usually that small (especially in comparison to the significantly cheaper - MASSIVE PORTIONS we saw being served all around us) and she politely said "yes. typically, sometimes a little bigger." As someone with a culinary arts degree & kitchen background I was very very very disappointed on the portion size of his entree for the price & sizes of surrounding entrees being served (that were cheaper or around the same price) and it literally ruined my entire experience. A smidge dramatic but the God's honest truth! Great view, beautiful patio, friendly service - just extremely disappointed. I planned to order both of us dessert and immediately skipped out & asked for the check when the server finally came over to ask how our food was. This review is hot & cold because my experience was. Would I recommend it? I'd recommend going for the best oysters in Myrtle and a clean, friendly facility - but that's about all I can say! PS - $3 "destination fee?" Clearly I'm not from around here, but it was the only restaurant from north Myrtle down to Murrells to charge us a fee for eating there as a tourist.
