Food was excellent; service was just okay, and drinks were not worth the money. The view from the top floor is worth a million dollars!

7.22.26 Parking can be challenging during peak hours, so plan accordingly. Reservations are not accepted, but you can add your name to the waitlist and receive a text when your table is ready. The restaurant has both an elevator and stairs for access. The second floor features a gift shop, the third floor offers air-conditioned dining, and the fourth floor is home to a rooftop bar. The food was excellent. I highly recommend the blackened mahi mahi platter. It came with asparagus (the smallest I've ever seen), and I substituted the grits for the Quay slaw, which was light, crisp, and refreshing. I also sampled my husband's she-crab soup and flounder bites, both of which were delicious. For dessert, I ordered the chocolate mousse cake. It was softer than versions I've had elsewhere, but rich in flavor without being overly decadent. Ripley was our server and did a fantastic job taking care of our party of 11. She kept our drinks refilled, checked on us regularly, and promptly cleared plates as we finished. The restaurant offers beautiful views overlooking Marlin Quay Marina, the Main Creek of Murrells Inlet, the surrounding saltwater marshes, and the Atlantic Ocean. We also spent some time on the rooftop, where a pleasant breeze and live music made for a relaxing atmosphere. It's easy to see why this establishment was named a 2025 Best of the Beach winner. Between the scenic views, welcoming ambiance, excellent food, and attentive service, it's well worth a visit. Highly recommended. read more

Great food, friendly staff and beautiful views! We had mahi tacos, tuna tacos, seafood Alfredo and the crab spinach dip. Everything was great! We went around 5:30 on a Sunday, got seated right away and were walking out by 6:30. That's rare for a good restaurant with a good view in summer. I'm sure it's not always like that, but we hit it just right. We would absolutely eat there again, even if there was a wait. read more

What a fun place to eat. The roof top provides the most beautiful sunset and night lights across the creek of the Marsh Walk. The staff are friendly, helpful and fast with drinks, food and refills. A great bar selection of your favorite cocktails, wine and cold beer. The menu includes your favorite low country seafood, along with steaks, sandwiches and salads. They have nightly specials and Happy Hour. It stays busy with locals and tourist because it's that good! It's a fun, lively restaurant that You will return to often. read more

What an amazing place. The rooftop was stellar as was the food and service. Sydney our server was on her game tonight. Very helpful, prompt, attentive without being annoying, friendly, and knowledgeable. Way to go Syd! The Quay Stack "shareable" was delicious. The crab in the crabcake. WOW! Fresh scamp grouper tacos were delicious and the sunset chicken had a unique flare that surprised us both. Took a slice of key lime pie to go. The hostess needed to be convinced that we REALLY wanted to sit near a window (and finally dodo it when we said we'd leave otherwise). Besides that, we had a great experience. What a great place for seafood! We have been coming to Myrtle Beach for years and have searched for a good sea food restaurant and we finally found one! The setup of the restaurant is a bit odd. You enter from the parking lot onto an elevator. There is dining on the 3nd and 4rd floor of the building. We entered the 3nd floor and were greeted by the manager who was just heading to the 4rd floor himself. He insisted we come to the 4rd floor as it had better views. We were escorted to the "Best seats in the house" which was a corner table with windows on 2 sides, the view was fantastic. (Only wish the weather was better) As for the food, everything was fantastic. The Clam Chowder was one of the best I've ever had! I didn't get a picture of the Crab Cake appetizer (that was also amazing) but I would definitely recommend it. It was mostly crab meat with very little "filler" so it was worth the price. Overall everything was on point and exceeded my expectations. We will definitely be back next visit! read more

Despite only having drinks at The Quay, I had a fantastic experience and would return again for food (because everyone's meal looked delicious!). The Quay has three levels, which offer indoor, bar, or rooftop seating. Given the beautiful weather, I sat at the (covered) rooftop and enjoyed looking out over the water. The servers were attentive and friendly, and prices were very reasonable for this beachfront restaurant. If you're looking to enjoy a drink or have a meal, this is a great place to visit! After visiting the area a few times we finally took a drive down Garden City way and noticed the Quay. We've been to most of the places on the main Murrels Inlet drag--all nice but very loud and busy. As for the Quay, seeing the great reviews we went there last night and we are so happy we did. The views are spectacular and the vibe is so chill. Way less noisy and chaotic. Our food was absolutely delicious, it was so hard to decide what to order. The fish was impeccably fresh and they catch their own shrimp daily. We will come back here every time we visit--so glad we found it! read more

Went last night (Saturday) with a party of eight, everything was wonderful ! Not sure we have ever experienced a complete staff that was sooooo friendly ! The food was on point ! Steaks cooked to perfection , shrimp very jumbo and their gravy on the homemade mashed was the best I have ever had So glad we found this place and we plan on being back often ! Great fresh seafood with a southern twist. We shared a shrimp stack, grouper bites, and crab cakes. The crab cakes were mostly crab with very little filler. The grouper was obviously fresh with very light breading. My favorite was the shrimp stack -- pimento cheese, fried jalapeño grit balls, and fresh shrimp. The key lime colada was good, with a nice balance of lime, pineapple, and coconut. The view from the rooftop seating area is lovely. read more

Decided to give this place a try Ate outside up on the 4th floor. Beautiful views of the marina and ocean. The sunset would be beautiful from the deck. We went too early to see it set. Started with the fried green tomatoes. They were good. I had the Cajun snapper, spicy , but not too spicy, it was outstanding. Husband had the scallop Alfredo outstanding as well. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Wanted dessert but was full from dinner. I brought half of my meal home. Definitely will be going back to try other dishes. Give this place a try. The Quay was on my list of places to check out. We went on a Wednesday night around 7:15 and we were able to get a table around 7:40 which was timed perfectly for the sunset. We tried a couple of the tacos - buffalo chicken and fish tacos - which were very good. The sweet potato fries were waffle fries with cinnamon and sugar on top. We also got the salted caramel cheesecake and chocolate mousse cake and both were divine! read more

The service was ok. The food wasn't great and the manger just stood around looking and not smiling. He was actually very creepy. Server didn't know how to take away plates and glasses you were finished with, manager saw how everything was piling up and still just stood in the corner like he didnt want to be there. On our annual girls trip this year we ate at The Quay. They were running on a pretty long wait but we're so glad we decided to wait it out. It was fabulous and our server Sydney (Syd the kid) was awesome! The food was amazing and the view of the water and sunset was gorgeous! 5/12/26: First visit with good friends. Awesome panoramic view looking west over Murrells Inlet marsh from the 3rd and 4th floors. We were told that sunsets are exceptional from this vantage point. The ELEVATOR was a welcome sight. Almost immediately we were turned off by the uncomfortable metal chairs. The sparse interior appears to be more suited for boaters in shorts and wet swimsuits than well-dressed couples. Our server Luke was friendly, knowledgeable, and attentive. As good as our seafood meals tasted, the cold/bare interior setting was a downer.
