Great spot in Murrells Inlet for authentic Mexican food. We stopped in for a quick bite and loved it from our server to the decor. Food was very tasty and served quickly, that and they had my favorite Mexican treat fried ice cream !!

We decided to try this Mexican restaurant after discovering it down from where my husband had to have oral surgery. After talking with the bartender, we found out that the owners are the same that own El Cerro. But they have completely different menus. Sitting at the bar, we ordered cocktails. A sangria for me and a margarita for him. They do give you warm chips with different sauces. The interior is large with a great bar. After sucking on our cocktails, we decided what we wanted to eat. The enchiladas mole for him and the suizas for me. My meal came with white rice. He said his was good but I am not a fan of mole sauce. My dinner was good but way too much for me. Would I come back here? If there is an opening at the bar. If you see me there, stop by and say hello.

What a great treasure to come across on my way from Myrtle to Charleston. The staff were so incredibly friendly and attentive and I could not stop eating the queso! I love that they serve you 3 different salsas with the complementary chips, but take it easy on them because you want to stay hungry for the food! Great sized portions and we had enough for two meals which is always a win for me when traveling (I hate cooking when I get home). I got the shrimp tacos and loved the spicy sauce and mango slaw that comes with them.

Finally - a great Mexican restaurant on the Grand Strand. Excellent service and decent prices for the quality of the food. Seated quickly and our sever was there is moments with chips, salsa and taking our drink orders. First rule of a great Mexican restaurant- free chips and salsa!! Look... if you're an Italian restaurant you provide free bread, if you're a Mexican restaurant you provide chips and salsa; Period. If I'm at a sit down Mexican place and you charge me for chips I won't be back. Rant over. The chips were fresh and they provide a salsa variety that was the right blend of spicy and tasty. Our server was helpful and made great suggestions based on our chatting and menu questions. The food was brought out quickly; the presentation was top-notch and the flavor and freshness amazing. We will be adding this to one of our frequent go-to places.

REALLY amazing food. Everything was hot and fresh. House made chips. Not like out of the bag type.. thick and crispy. Our server was very friendly and helpful. Very attentive. And the decor was nice too

We needed a break from seafood and decided to get some Mexican while on vacation. The cheese dip was very good. Nice and thick. I got the carnitas tacos, and they pack the meat into these tacos. They were delicious! The Mexican rice was just ok. They were very busy and clearly understaffed. We ended up waiting more than the 30 minutes they originally said, but our server was working super hard trying to get us drinks and stopping by our table to see if we needed anything. My mom doesn't eat meat, and she got the vegetarian quesadilla. She said it was one of the best quesadillas she's ever had. This place was a little pricier than your typical Mexican restaurant, but the portions were large. The food was fantastic, so I would come back again. One thing to note is they charge 2% for using a credit card, so bring cash if you want to avoid that.

We were allowed to decorate the outside picnic tables to enhance the ambiance under the large tree with beautiful Spanish moss. The food was delicious, the service was top notch and the drinks were flowing from the outside bar. Following the party, a band played on the deck to finish the night! We have been regular patrons of this restaurant since they opened and will continue for years to come when we visit the area. Also the price for the food and drinks was beyond reasonable. Hannah provided us with excellent service and was well versed in the prep and presentation of the food. Well done Hannah!! Our flat bread appetizer hit the spot and the crust was amazing. Both the pulled pork and pastrami sandwiches were on point. If you up for something spicy, try the jalapeño baked beans. Loved em! We had banana pudding for dessert and if I were to make a single negative comment would be the mason jar serving vessel for the pudding. While certainly nostalgic for a BBQ place, I couldn't reach all the nooks with my spoon to get all the last bits of delicious pudding out. But don't worry, will be back for another helping. Very cool spot and I bet it's great when there is live music and during bike week. Thanks again to all.

Our first and second visit consisted mostly of the same things: Oysters and Calamari to start, Seafood Mac & Cheese and Fish & Chips. I had the lettuce wraps, which are big, so share. And I had Crab Cakes. The wraps were good but they needed a better aioli in my opinion, because it became a sort of watery dressing instead of something sturdier. And the pico de gallo was not actually that. It was diced tomato, onion and had zero taste of lime, salt or spicy. It was fine but could have been killer. My hubby had the Clam Chowder, Pan Seared Grouper and the shrimp Po Boy. He loved the grouper, risotto and the chowder. The fish was flaky and seasoned well. The po boy needed more sauce but was really delicious. My daughter (16) needed a seafood break since she had the fish and chips the first visit and went with the Claw House Burger. She said it was seasoned and that it was indeed 1/4 lb. And Fish & Chips was the best she had had (which, she's had an incredible amount for her young age) -- not too much breading, nice crisp on the outside and juicy fish. The fries both nights were a little chewy but the flavor was there. And how can I forget. Even though on the second night we saw at least five tables start with the Crab Nachos we added a third item, Fried Clam Strips. Those were ridiculously good. I'm not a fan of tartar sauce so I ate it without and it was perfect on its own. Everything was fresh, they paid attention to detail in most individual elements and the location sent it over the top. Definitely worth a visit.

A table of 4 sat a few minutes before we did and a table of 6 sat probably 10 minutes after them. Our table and the table of 6 were served before the group of 4 who had to ask a bus boy for service. Yikes! Server was sweet besides the empty non alcoholic beverage glasses she did not fill when our food came out. She didn't come back to check in on us until my husband's 6 bites of dinner were already gone. I asked if the portion is usually that small (especially in comparison to the significantly cheaper - MASSIVE PORTIONS we saw being served all around us) and she politely said "yes. typically, sometimes a little bigger." As someone with a culinary arts degree & kitchen background I was very very very disappointed on the portion size of his entree for the price & sizes of surrounding entrees being served (that were cheaper or around the same price) and it literally ruined my entire experience. A smidge dramatic but the God's honest truth! Great view, beautiful patio, friendly service - just extremely disappointed. I planned to order both of us dessert and immediately skipped out & asked for the check when the server finally came over to ask how our food was. This review is hot & cold because my experience was. Would I recommend it? I'd recommend going for the best oysters in Myrtle and a clean, friendly facility - but that's about all I can say! PS - $3 "destination fee?" Clearly I'm not from around here, but it was the only restaurant from north Myrtle down to Murrells to charge us a fee for eating there as a tourist.

Let's try the good first. We arrived and we're seated immediately, but was also arrived just before 5pm, and it was already packed. Not surprised as it is the peak of the summer season. Our server was pleasant and attentive, and in my opinion, that was pretty much the extent of the " good". The "OK". - the food was just that, ok. The cobia had no real seasoning on it, if it weren't for the butter sauce, it would have had zero flavor. The fries are obviously from frozen and cooked until very crispy, almost hard. The mac and cheese sampled from my wife's plate also tasted like a mass produced, frozen deal. She said the scallops were good, and the shrimp I sampled were decent. My son enjoyed his fish and fries, but he's 6. The "bad"...since I'm using those words. It's loud, and got louder around 5:45. No surprise though, it's called a saloon and the reviews clearly say it's loud. Be prepared. Parking. I guess if you can find a spot on site, you're good, but the pay lots across the street are $20 for 2 hours...the least you can get. And again, something I failed to read, researcher whatever, but the pictures of all the 4 legged friends that have crossed the rainbow bridge that adorn the walls, it was, to me, a bit of a buzz kill. I quite frankly never realized it's concept was to honor actual dead dogs. My bad. We've been, and I honestly don't expect well go back, at least not for a while. I'll give it another shot, but in an area like this, there are always new places to try, ones that have been open for 30 years, and ones that have been open for 30 days. It's important to make a good first impression to generate return business.
