"The Queensboro" is a great place to eat and spend time with your family and/or friends. The atmosphere is so great. There were even musicians playing live music while we ate. The only thing is that the waiter spilled alcohol on my brother and I. We are under the age of 18, so we had to be very careful. With that said, everything else was amazing. Stopped by here during a rainy Friday night hoping there would be no wait for dinner. Thankfully this place is spacious enough that we were able to get a table for two immediately. Menu consists mostly of Italian favorites along with American dishes as well. Between two people: ordered the Chips & Dip ($8), Fried Potato Wedges ($8?), and the Eggplant Pizza ($13). The wedges are fried perfectly, accompanied by a semi-spicy aioli that covered up some of the oil. The chips are a variety of crisped vegetables surrounding a mound of French onion dip. Liked the different types of chips, and the dip had a familiar tanginess to it. Pizza had a soft baked crust which was easy to fold, and the eggplant was caramelized to the point it looked liked sauteed onions. Great flavor in all the dishes to the point that we also ordered the Sticky Toffee Pudding ($8). A little bit of a downer here as it seemed reheated, but a simple dish that we quickly ate. Service is top-notch; constantly checked upon after every course and our waters were refilled intermittently. Five stars for the Queensboro! I went on a Saturday with my family for my birthday brunch. The food was amazing! We ordered the garlic fried rice, avocado toast, sweet potato hash, biscuit and gravy, and the eggs Norwegian. Everything was so delicious and we were not disappointed. We also ordered pitchers of bellinis. Yum!! Service was amazing. Our server was the best and she was the friendliest person ever! She overheard that it was my birthday and after we finished our meal, she brought out complimentary donut fritters and condensed milk toast with a candle on it and she and a bunch of other waiters sang 'Happy Birthday' to me. Everyone who worked there was super accommodating and sweet. Will definitely be back for more! The restaurant itself was very cute. Wow what an amazing addition to the area without going to the city. My friend and I decided to come here for dinner on a Wednesday night and we had a great time. Soon as I walked in I was surprised with the turn out on a Wednesday night in that area. There we're families, dates, friends gathered for dinner. There are a variety of seating arrangements such as the bar, booths, and regular tables with chairs This location have a brick oven bar in the back of the restaurant where you see the chefs, and the bar have a variety of liquors with their own freshly local pitted ingredients and IPAs ( the bartender Larry explained the drinks with passion! We loved it ) We started off the chips and dip and shared a supreme pizza which had all the vegetables and meats . The chips are fried plantains with a cream dip. Super yummy . And the supreme pizza was to die for . All the ingredients are fresh, the dough was soft, and the sauce was flavorful! My fav part honestly was the cocktails, they are made with love!!!! It's pretty to the eye and very tasty to drink. My fav drink which wasn't on the menu, is the Manhattan ( I believe it's called ). Squash raw glistening with olive oil mint pine nuts with baby raisins, More deliciousness with perfectly seared seabass in a killer sauce. Desserts sound enticing. Complaints: Vintage dinnerware while cute does not have the proper weight for the level of dining. Every time we come here, we make sure to arrive early, before the busy Sunday brunch crowd. Between 10am and 11am, that is. And every time, we almost always experience "waiter disappearing act". Great service until after our meals, our waiter or waitress almost always disappears and we have trouble tracking the person down. Usually though, the nice bearded owner is kind enough to get us our bill. Still though, consistency would be nice. Today, I ordered the eggs with beets and smoked whitefish over flatbread. Unfortunately, the dish wasn't as appetizing as I expected. The flatbread breaks into tiny pieces as you cut into it. The eggs are cooked beautifully and the smokey flavor from the fish gives it a nice edge - however, there are two many ingredients on here: tomatoes, beets, radishes, onions, and cucumbers which made it very moist and soggy at times. Can't believe this place has been here for a year and I'm finally coming in. I was in the mood for pasta and read the reviews for the Fusilli with Bolognese sauce & went with that. It's terrific. They don't serve bread with dinner unless you ask. Being a carb lover, I always want bread. It's sour dough which isn't exactly bread for pasta! LOL. Ordered a glass of French wine, a cabernet, and it was a bit light for a cab especially with pasta. Maybe it's the Pinot by mistake. The place is lovely looking with an open kitchen, very lively and full so I sat at a high table near the bar & got served immediately. Really friendly service. Came here for brunch, the place was crowded but there was a short wait only. It's very popular among young families and I could see at least 5-6 tables with kids while we were there. The wait staff were very accommodating to young families and the place was spacious enough. We ordered the steak and eggs and the seafood sandwich. The former was meh but the sandwich was nice and much better value than the steak. Our server was very nice but she was too busy and was hard to flag down, but she did check on us a couple times. Odd, but very comfortable and appealing to hang out in. Seems to be largely family owned and operated. Service: Friendly service - everyone pitching in to attend all tables as needed so you're never waiting. Food: A somewhat limited menu, but all the food was terrific. I tried the Smoked Salmon Benedict (called Eggs Norwegian) and it was terrific. I think the accompanying potatoes were fired in duck fat but whatever - they were delicious. I looked over at other tables and saw really fluffy looking pancakes which I might try next time. Price: Typical for a similar place in, say, Brooklyn or Manhattan, but probably a little above average for the area. You scan a little code on your phone for the menu and to pay and you get the food and drink delivered to your table. The reason for my review was based on the food at the prefixed menu. Personally I felt like the food was alright. Nothing particularly special, and everything was just very simple with drizzles of sauces. When the food was brought out, the servers did not explain or tell us the name of the dish, which lead us to guess and hope that we knew what it was. One of my friends did not eat pork, which was important for us to ensure the ingredients. Additionally, it was so so so hard for us to get drinks. The server kept walking by the table, but did not stop to ask us if we needed anything. It took us several minutes to flag him down, and another 15 for the drink to arrive. Seems like a great place to have a small dinner with 3/4 friends, but the service and experience for a group of 15 was not so great. read more

We stumbled upon this place after visiting a friend nearby. Located right in the corner, they extended into the street and have set up tables and some are even covered with a tent. While we got their in the evening, there was no worries about shade. They have set up a QR menu system and we ordered straight through there. Since we got there later in the night, we were told upon sitting the kitchen was closing in about 20minutes. There was some items already shaded in the menu indicating they were out of them at this time. We ordered a round of Riesling frozen cocktail, it was very very good. It was similar to a Bellini and it had some peach liqueur. We didn't wait that long for the food to come out. The burger was tasty and the fries crispy. The coconut beef stew was delicious. The meat was flavorful and chewy. It was nice to have two options for the sides of the dish. Since we arrived around closing time we noticed some of the tables being put away.
