Me & the wife were heading over to our favorite chicken joint Pio Pio last night on Northern blvd and we both saw this resturant The Queensboro it's retro sign look caught our eye..... We pulled over yelped them, checked out their reviews & menu's as well as their food photo's !!! Banged a U turn we grabbed a spot right in front.... Nice big bar area; open kitchen; very nice dining room with open ceilings; very comfortable & welcoming !!! Nice place for just hanging out to larger gatherings .... The service was on point, our waiter was awesome; we order a Pepperoni pizza; order of their Brussel sprouts & a pasta their rigatoni with eggplant...... The pizza was off the chain, nice real brick oven pizza with thin crispy crust the sauce was very good along with the muzz & pepperoni a real nice Mini Pie it's not big .... The pasta dish was also on point, we enjoyed this this as well !! The Brussels were awesome .... I loved this side dish it had a drizzle of balsamic along with pine nuts along with diced up grapefruit and a touch of heat & a touch of lime juice..... very different but very delicious...... The menu is really not that big & I understand why; every dish including the pizza was executed perfectly..... just take a look at their reviews & ratings this is how you do it !!! I tried the Queensboro shortly after its grand opening (pre-pandemic) and have been a few times for takeout. I think that it is a great addition to the neighborhood, and they have done a wonderful job in pivoting during the pandemic. The space is pretty large and welcoming, and the outdoor dining space is really nice. In person, I have tried the following dishes: Chips and Dip (4/5): Very solid chips and dip (house made french onion dip). A great dish to share with a group. Apple Chaat (4/5): A really cool fusion dish. Sad to see it's now off the menu. Spicy Squash Rings (3/5): Also off the menu now, but was pretty good. An interesting take on onion rings. Cavatelli (4/5): Had the vegetarian version of this dish - it originally comes with a pork ragu. It was very good, on the richer side, and of a very good portion size. Mushroom Pizza (5/5): This pizza was excellent. Since the pandemic, I have tried a lot of the pies and some of their family style dishes. All items have been very good. Overall, I highly recommend the Queensboro. They have done a great job during these challenging times, and I definitely plan to continue eating there! read more

Hosted a semi-private event here and it was a great experience during. There was a bit of miscommunication in the upfront on space, but all worked out in the end. It's a beautiful space upstairs with the greenery they already have and rustic tables/vibe. The staff was extremely friendly and attentive, even though we had ~20 in one party, getting drink orders correct. The food that was a part of the set menu was DELICIOUS and there was plenty to go around in family style - we had so much leftover actually. From pastas, to sides, everything was solid. It also came with dessert, a berry trifle, which was a WHOLE container and plenty for the party. They really do not skimp, which is great for a per person option. I'd definitely consider other events or dining options here! Wow, I don't even know where to begin. My neighborhood, Jackson Heights, is getting really spruced up with these fancy restaurants. I enjoyed this restaurant a lot. I like the wide glass windows, which gave you a great view of the streets and it made it seem like you were eating outside. I've heard this place was great for breakfast but I happened to stumble upon it during the evening as and decided to try their dinner menu. I had their fish of the day, which was their 'Mahi Mahi' special. I'm normally not a fan of fish but this was definitely something else. The fish was moist and had amazing flavor (smells amazing and you'll probably think you're eating chicken !). No need to worry about dealing with bones; there aren't any. Phew. I especially liked their quinoa side. It had an assortment of ingredients with the quinoa and I liked that they added sweet raisins to it too. It took a while to make but definitely worth it! The waitresses were all very friendly and were checking up on me and my friend from time to time to make sure everything was ok. The Mahi Mahi special was about 26 dollars not including tip. So yes, it is more than what I'd like to pay for fish, but for the craftsmanship that went into this amazing tasty 'dolphin', I will gladly say it was worth it! I enjoyed coming here for brunch! They have an open-air section with true outdoor seating on the side street that on a nice day is really nice for dining. I enjoyed a meal of waffles with berries and creme fraiche and my husband got the chorizo hash & sunny eggs, which was delicious! We retrieved the menus via QR codes and also paid via mobile. My friend ordered the shrimp skewers and I ordered the beef stew. The beef had zero flavor, the brown rice was undercooked. The broccoli with Caesar was the only good part of the dish. My friend's shrimp was undercooked. It was still gray. It took a long time to get the attention of the server to send it back to be properly cooked. We also ordered the onion dip with chips and it was underwhelming. The chips were the quality of a bag of lays chips. Don't order that if you go. Honestly come here for the drinks. We hosted our wedding ceremony and reception in the private dinning space. There are not enough good things to say about our experience. From early meetings with management to plan and facilitate, to the wonderful and attentive help given by Angelica throughout the evening, and the friendly staff of servers and waiters. Of course the food was phenomenal as always! Our guests couldn't stop talking about the menu, which they allowed us to cater to our friends with certain diets such as gluten free, vegetarian, and peanut allergy. This Brooklyn-esque restaurant is definitely a notable addition to Northern Blvd, Jackson Heights area. Although Queensboro is a gastropub, the menu is very innovative and the dishes are very flavorful. The chef goes to great length to ensure all dishes are well presented with unwavering flavors; whether it be savory or sweet. We were here for Sunday brunch and was not disappointed. My husband had the sweet potato chorizo hash and sunny eggs and I had the pancakes with dulce de leche butter. Portion size was normal, presentation was great, and taste was superb. After brunch we lingered a bit longer and enjoy some cocktails. The bar tender actually came to our table to make sure he understood what I wanted, it was nothing fancy, just a classic kir. How can you even put that on your menu as biscuit... If you look into their photos, there are some customers with the square white bread and then others had bisquits. The poached egg was firm and overcooked. The avocado toast was so expensive and it wasn't even good. The avocado spread was not chunky or fresh. It was sour and a thinned out spread that tastes and looks just like the prepackaged Sabra guac you get from the supermarket. The greens that came with it looked wilted/yellowing... The poached egg was slightly better than the one on the biscuits and gravy but it was definitely overcooked. By far one of the saddest brunches that I overpaid for and walked out dissatisfied. read more

Loved loved loved this place! We had a delicious dinner at The Queensboro. The staff was attentive and friendly and professional. The ambiance was great - good for a girls night out or for date night. We sat in one of the booths and had enough privacy to talk. We shared a bottle of wine and ate sooo much! My cavateli with bottarga and cherry tomatoes was delicious. I loved the combo of flavors. It's rare to find bottarga on a menu so I get it when I see it. The bacon/blue cheese burger was delish. It was cooked well and fresh. The wine section was good - not too expensive so we were able to share a bottle of a good Dolcetto D'Alba and chat for a while. I loved this place a year or two ago but I just cannot come here anymore. It's gone completely downhill and the last two times i've come here have been awful. For one they have an issue serving way overly sour drinks. Last time my boyfriend got the "hot toddy" and today I ordered a virgin mojito. Both times these drinks were extremely sour to the point where they were gross to drink and we had to send them back. My "virgin mojito" also wasn't even sparkling like a mojito is supposed to be and had no soda water, no mint taste, I was literally served a cup of lime juice. For food, we got the pina colada muffins which were really good, but that was the only thing we enjoyed. My boyfriend got the steak and eggs which he said both the steak and eggs were super bland and he didn't enjoy either. I got the shrimp skewer with two sides, which I picked rainbow carrots and tahini broccoli for. When my plate came I saw the tahini broccoli was raw broccoli, which I hate, and wasn't specified on the menu. Our waitress had a messed up attitude from the beginning but when I said I didn't realize the broccoli would be raw and could I switch it for the roasted broccolini, she got even more of an attitude and tried to say it said raw on the menu, which it did not. She then switched it to "well tahini means raw".... tahini is a sauce, how would I know it would come raw from that? I don't think it's crazy to assume when you're paying for vegetables at a restaurant that they're actually cooked. The guy who brought back the broccolini literally slammed it on the table with a giant attitude. To top it off the "grilled shrimp" was literally white and the texture seemed like it was barely cooked. When I order grilled shrimp I do not expect to get served that. I was uncomfortable saying anything else about the food at that point so I literally packed up my plate in a box and just left and finished grilling and seasoned it myself at home, which is completely unacceptable when you paid to dine out. My boyfriend said he also wished we would have just made breakfast home because he would have enjoyed it more. Both of the last two times we have come here, we left unhappy and not feeling like we had a meal we actually enjoyed. The best thing we had out of both of our last two visits were today's muffins, which is just sad. It's getting harder to find restaurants that are still worth dining out in and a lot of places that used to be good just aren't anymore and this place is no exception. I came here on a sunday afternoon after church with my boyfriend. The restaurant was pretty full but we were able to get a seat immediately. The waitress came over after about 3 or 4 minutes and gave us our menus and introduced herself. She was really pleasant and told us about the specials that were being offered that day. I ordered the pancakes with the dulce de leche butter and the chicken apple sausage and my boyfriend ordered the steak and eggs which also came with potatoes and toast. We both stuck to drinking water. The butter is amazing and I could love to make it at home if I can have the recipe. The pancakes are pretty standard and served with powdered sugar. The apple chicken sausage was dry I had to dip it in ketchup. My boyfriend enjoyed his meal but said that he couldve eaten more. I came here to brunch today with my fiancé and we had such a great experience!! The food was delicious, the staff was so friendly and the ambiance was so inviting. We didn't make a reservation and were seated right away despite the restaurant being packed. My fiancé owns his own restaurant in Long Island and is a big time foodie so his expectations are always very high and this spot checked all the boxes of approval. We ordered the "sweet potato chorizo hash & sunny eggs" and "pancakes with dulce de leche butter & maple syrup" with home fries on the side. SOOOOO GOOD! Pancakes were cooked perfectly, fluffy deliciousness and the dulce de leche butter was just the right sweetness. The hash was seasoned perfectly with just the right amount of ratio of potatoes, red peppers and chorizo. Overall a great experience and HIGHLY RECOMMEND! Also, when we left the Colombian parade was going on and the staff was handing out ice cold water to everyone outside which was sooo nice because it was so hot out. The restaurant itself is rustic pretty look with great open windows and diner booth style tables? Bit confused with that. The place seems like it lacks leadership or teamwork as diners came in. Cocktails were good and prob the highlight of the night. Food was delicious to an extent, and by that I mean it filled me tummy somewhat but wasn't anything special or extraordinary. Grilled Fava beans had so much flavor but were soggy when presented to the table. Hawaiian pizza was good for a hungry individual but for 17$ I'd get the 555 deal at dominos. 27$ for a steak with a few halves of potatoes and 2 onions is mediocre. At least throw some fries for a "gastropub" feel. Steak came with no sides or something. Still was hungry after that so we got dessert. Panna cotta looked good in the pic but should've gone with the other yelpers advice on this one. It was bitter and tasted like yogurt, not like cooked milk as it should be subtle in flavor and light and creamy. This def has a sour yogurt taste and the presentation seemed anything but modern. Overall I feel I could've gotten this at the diner nearby for half the price so I'll leave it at that. :/ Overall I doubt I'll be back unless is for happy hour. Place has potential to be better and serve better food but for those prices at least serve organic foods. To boot, it's a reliable joint for a quick meet-up with friends in daHood if you don't feel like making the trek into the City. We have been wanting to try The Queensboro for quite some time. Today was the day and I am glad we were in the neighborhood. Classified as a "gastropub", a concept of a restaurant within a pub, the term does not do it justice. When I think of a pub, I recall a dingy dive bar. There is a bar area w/ high seating on one side but in the back and other side of the restaurant, the atmosphere is chill and cool. Our server was Alex and he did a great job with making our first time welcoming. We ordered the Garlic Fried Rice and the Eggs Benedict. For dessert, we tried the Ricotta Fritters and coffee. Portions were on the small side but the taste and seasoning compensated for size of meals. The fried rice reminded me of Lomo Salado without the meat. We will return next time when we are in the neighborhood to try more of their popular dishes. read more

Was here this weekend for my job's holiday party and had a blast. The decor in the restaurant is really nice. It's clean and modern. Spacious. You get a great view of the kitchen. There are rustic elements everywhere. Overall, a very visually appealing place. I only hung out at the bar, so I can't speak for the food menu, but I did get to try their pizza, and I thought it was really good. The crust was thin and crispy, and there was a good sauce to cheese ratio. Definitely recommend. They had a good happy hour going on--$5 beers. So I was happy with that. It looked like all of the beers on tap were local breweries (Singlecut, Big Alice, LIC), which is pretty awesome in my opinion. I think it's great that they support local businesses. The staff was also great. The bartender was busy, but attentive, and the owner was constantly walking around making sure everything was running smoothly throughout the place. "The Queensboro" is a great place to eat and spend time with your family and/or friends. The atmosphere is so great. There were even musicians playing live music while we ate. The only thing is that the waiter spilled alcohol on my brother and I. We are under the age of 18, so we had to be very careful. With that said, everything else was amazing. I loved the Eggs Norwegian, the smoked salmon tasted so fresh and the hollandaise was perfect. Now let's talk about the pancakes. They were soft and absolutely perfectly made buttermilk pancakes, with a nice Dulce de leche butter.
