Did not feel welcomed by staff. Just a bunch of crazy looks and people asking, "Where do you live and what do you do......."

I'm confused why this spot doesn't have 5 stars! Obviously people don't know delicious food!…read more Okay y'all... we drove 3 1/2 hours with a party of six just to check this place out, and let me tell you -- SO worth the trip! From the moment we walked up, the vibe was pure vacation mode: bright umbrellas, good music, and that gorgeous waterfront view that makes you wanna stay all day. Appetizers: We went all in -- charbroiled oysters, raw oysters, gator bites, fried green tomatoes, spinach dip, and a side salad (not pictured because it didn't last long ). Every single bite was on point! The charbroiled oysters? Buttery, smoky perfection. Gator bites? Crispy outside, tender inside, and seasoned just right. Not a single miss here! Entrées: We covered the menu like pros -- fried platter, blackened platter, blackened alligator tacos, redfish, bang bang shrimp tacos, and a side of hushpuppies (because who skips hushpuppies?). EVERYTHING came out hot, fresh, and full of flavor. The bang bang shrimp tacos had that sweet heat you crave, and the blackened alligator tacos? Hands-down one of my faves of the night. Service + Atmosphere: The staff was friendly, professional, and fast, which made the whole experience even better. The timing was perfect -- no long waits, just smooth service and chill energy all around. And let's talk about that view! Sitting by the water watching the boats roll in while the sun set? 10/10 ambiance. Final Thoughts: I have no clue why this place is sitting at 3 1/2 stars, because our experience was solid 5 all day long. Food, drinks, view, staff -- everything hit. Shaggy's is that feel-good, toes-in-the-sand kinda spot that deserves more love. If you're thinking about going, GO. Order the oysters, grab a cocktail, and let the breeze do the rest. #seafoodlovers #gulfvibes, #worththedrive

There were six in our party. We had a vast array of items, but I will review the ones that I have pictures of. I did not personally eat one of the duck empanadas, but the others at the table did and they all raved about them. I did enjoy a piece of the warm bread with the various dipping sauces. My husband bakes bread so I can be a bit of a snob about bread, but this bread was wonderful. Crispy on the outside, soft on the inside. Our disappointment was they were out of cauliflower so we could not enjoy the Kung pao cauliflower. I had the rotisserie chicken with the sweet Thai chili sauce, the Thai green beans and the corn grits. The corn grits are moist and creamy. The Thai green beans are a fresh green bean that is sautéed perfectly. They still have a nice crunch to them. My husband enjoyed the shrimp and grits. He did not have one bad thing to say about them and cleaned his plate. Another friend had the ribs and rotisserie chicken combo and enjoyed them. Our friends who frequent this restaurant shared the almond shrimp. I will be getting that next time.l as I looked on with jealousy. We ended by sharing a giant piece of sweet potato bread pudding. They make it in the house. Do not pass this up, but be aware that it is a shareable dessert. Overall, our meal was fantastic and we look forward to returning

New location open! It was packed on a Saturday at lunch. We…read moresat at the bar while we waited on a table (maybe a 15 minute wait for a 4 top). A lot of fun drink options; my MIL ordered their spin on aperol spritz which was great and refreshing. Our food came out super quick & service was great. The ambiance was fast-paced, different seating options, and huge bar area. Our waitress was very attentive to us. What we ordered: Appetizer: onion rings - delicious not too much breading and crispy. So so good. The backyard (basically double cheese burger on Texas toast). Father in law said it was fantastic! Caesar salad (large) + add chicken. This is what I ordered. I enjoyed the chicken - kind of a Cajun season - but I did wish I was grilled! Patty melt: some kind of Big Mac sauce, gooey cheese, 10/10 from my husband. Cod sandwich : my MIL ordered this on sourdough; she really enjoyed it. You can swap out the sandwich bread to whatever bread of your liking. My family ordered fries as a side, love the hand cut type but they all said they were over salted. Overall, fun spot for a delicious lunch.
