I called this place for a chest x-ray. After providing my basic information. The receptionist says, "they don't accept new patients."

I'm giving them a review review as one star because I can't go any lower. You can never get anyone in the office when you call the number would automatically send you to a recording that's for medical records. You follow the information that you were. You told send an email they respond back with you must fill a form you fill out the form and you send it again and they come back with, supposedly PDF files that you cannot open and then no one responds. This has been going on for two months now I'm extremely disappointed. I have been going to this facility for over 20 years. I'm done with them. read more

So, if I would have seen the reviews for this place prior to booking an appointment here, I would have not gone here for a CT scan. Actually...I was recommended to go here by IZ Medical, and I am genuinely curious as to why they recommend this place. Maybe they have an agreement of some sort? I don't know. But I do know that, when I chose two stars on YELP, the prompt was "could've been better," and that's exactly how I feel. I considered giving it three stars but the place is still leaving me hanging, so two stars it is. When the CT scan was initially announced, this place called me to schedule it first. I don't mind that. Actually, every person that I have talked to on the phone has been lovely. They've been very professional and informative, at least in scheduling anyway. I even had to change the appointment and they were able to do so seamlessly. This was my first impression, and it was positive. But as I interacted more and more with this place, I realized that the experience definitely "could have been better." For the appointment (which was on a Friday afternoon), they told me to call before coming into the office when I arrived. This is totally understandable and pretty basic COVID procedure for medical offices these days. As soon as I was called, I was invited in. Great! Except the office was positively slammed and definitely NOT Covid-regulated. There were around 20 people both standing and sitting, and the heat was blasting in the office. If you are going to make people call before you come into the office, it should be at least regulated, OR ask patients to wait in the car. Just a thought! Anyway, the young lady who helped me at the front desk was nice enough - she did check me in within a few minutes (remember to bring your prescription). However...apparently there was an issue with my prescription, as the CT scan was approved without contrast instead of with and without contrast, and the lady at the desk just looks at me and says, "There is a problem here with your prescription." Now, I know this is not personal towards me and she probably didn't realize she was being a bit curt, but it is *not my fault* that my prescription didn't go through. The young woman DID call up my doctor and get a new prescription, though. Also, this really wouldn't have bothered me if not for the rest of my experience with this place. The CT scan was easy enough. The technician was very nice and the process went smoothly. Now...the real issue with this place is what happens after you come and take your test. First, I asked the lady at the front desk (the same one who said I had the issue) if I could give my doctor's fax number, so that the CT scan could be directly given to the doctor. She said no! I would have to call and follow up. Ok! I had scheduled my appointment with my doctor on Wednesday, thinking the results would be done. So, I gave the radiology center a call on Monday, in between classes because I am a teacher. There is an extension for general questions and results. My intention was to give the fax number to the results department, so they could fax the number to my doctor. For both extensions, no one picked up, and I left a voice mail and have not gotten a phone call back since. Then on Tuesday, I called up the regular number just so I could speak to someone. I spoke to another lovely young lady who told me my results were not ready yet, but would make a note to the doctor to ensure that it was faxed over by my appointment (tomorrow). While it was great that the young woman was accommodating, my results were never prepared and released, so I basically had an appointment with my doctor for nothing. I again called the center, after the appointment, and politely explained that my results were never sent over and my appointment was missed - the person on the phone was apologetic and said she would try to get them out ASAP, but it is now Monday and I have not heard from my doctor (who said she would call me as soon as the results came in). BOTTOM LINE. This is a 'doc in the box' style business, I believe they are interested in quantity over quality. Honestly, if they got my results done in a timely fashion, I would bump up the rating of this place, because I understand the circumstances and not everything is going to be a five-star SPA experience, but it should be somewhat of a decent experience. If they are taking such a large number of patients (which they clearly are judging from my experience and other reviews), they need to get their act together and churn out those results in a timely fashion, OR give a disclaimer that results will take over a week to complete. I am not sure if I am being too harsh, but this is my honest-to-goodness opinion! read more

This place is ran by the cast and crew of Jerry Springer. They truly run a SH*t show. I rather ask my friend who runs a veterinarian practice then come back to this place. They treat you like complete garbage, they talk about you in front of other patients and the Radiologist. Don't waste your time coming here. Find any other place but here. I came here months ago for an ultrasound. Saturdays are packed and overbooked. I waited almost an hour past my appointment time to be seen and the waiting room was unbearably warm. Receptionist was not very pleasant either. When it finally was my turn, a female nurse and male ultrasound technician greeted me in my room. The female nurse was very pleasant and attempted to calm my nerves . She even asked if I wanted my hubby to hold my hand during the procedure. Granted it was an ultrasound, but it was to check the goiter on my thyroid for cancer. An ultrasound shouldn't hurt, but this male tech seemed to be inexperienced. He was practically crushing my esophagus and I was so uncomfortable. Thirty-Forty minutes later he was done and my neck and throat ached terribly for a week after. Once again the female nurse was polite and helped me up and told me not to worry that millions have thyroid issues and are ok. What really brings this down to two stars when I intended to give three was when my endocrinologist got the results. He literally looked me blank in the face and said where did you go to get this done. I informed him and he said next ultrasound I want done somewhere else. Later his nurse informed me he was not pleased at all with the way the images were taken. My next ultrasound was done at NJIN of Belleville and was painless and only 20 minutes. This tech advised me an ultrasound should NEVER hurt and he should have changed the wand he was using if he couldn't get the images he needed. Needless to say I will not return here for any imaging and will continue to go to NJIN. read more

Absolutely worst place I have ever had to go to. All week every day I received a phone concerning my appointment for a MRI, they said you need a X-ray before your insurance approves it. The beginning of every phone call started with we still haven't received your X-ray script. Then few moments later.... oh oops sorry here it is. Okay your all set for 1:15pm and the instructions considering the covid circumstances. This went on everyday for the last 6 days including the day of my appointment. Again at the end of each call I was told your all set for 1:15pm. I show up at 1:15pm, followed all instructions, get called to the door for my 1:15pm appointment. I take a seat in the waiting room and see new people getting X-rays an I'm still waiting. I asked why this was and they said your here for a MRI not X-ray. Now at this point it is starting to feel like ground hogs day with Bill Murray. I explain what has been happening to the office manager and explain. I was told I don't have an appointment and I must be confused. I obviously had an appointment or I would have never made it through the door. Complete waste of a day. I would go to a veterinarian for a MRI before I ever step foot in that place. I'm positive I would have been given someone else's results. read more

Complaint Lyndhurst Radiology __ PATRICIA ( scheduling person) UNTIMELY AUTHORIZATION From insurance company and rude staff- First off I'm not someone who would put a bad review about a working individual unless they lie right to my face and are rude. Rude one can ignore but not lying. Scheduled an appointment for my mother on Jan 28th for Feb 2 2021 CT scan for her lungs. Lyndhurst Radiology called and cancelled the appointment since their CT scan tech did not show up to work KN FEB 2nd ( it was a snow day understandable) The appointment with great difficulty was rescheduled for Feb 4th. On Feb 3rd evening PATRICIA from LYNDHURST RADIOLOGY calls to cancel the appointment stating they do not have approval from clover health insurance for the scan and telling me that I was late in making the appointment as insurance authorization takes 10 business days for a CT scan. I immediately got on the phone with Clover health and they mentioned no one from Lyndhurst Radiology called for an appointment on Jan 28 or after. Clover got a call on feb3rd for an authorization and they usually authorize in 48hours or 2 to 4 hours if it's a priority. So not only PATRICIA the scheduling person at Lyndhurst health lied to me but also was rude and tried to make a point that I was late in making the appointment and clover heath takes 10 days. I called back and let Patricia know that her office never called for an authorization on Jan 28th for the original appointment of Feb 2nd . Her demeanor was rude and short and info was deceiving to the patient. Lyndhurst Radiology staff should realize that we are in a time of crisis with people having lung disorders and at this point in time PATRICIA showed no care for this matter and just wanted to get off the phone. A very bad experience At the end when I proved Patrica was lying to me with Clover rep on conference she simply, said talk to Paula about this tomorrow since she handles authorizations. read more

I requested an open MRI, technician lied and said that's what I was getting. As I have found out THEY decided to put me in a closed MRI because they felt the imaging would be better. Without discussing this with me first, this was deceitful. When I called to speak to manager Marilyn the next day, I had to make 2 phone calls , was put on hold for 6 minutes, and after hearing my story had no form of reaction whatsoever. Couldn't even come up with an obligatory "my apologies", until after I asked if this was common policy to treat patients this way. Also got in there 15 mins before my appointment as asked to, so I waited 45 minutes in waiting room to be seen, 1/2 an hour after my scheduled time . I would have just blew this off if it wasn't for the horrible treatment I received. Unprofessional to say the least. read more

The manager demanded that I pay upfront a few hundred dollars or she "...Will Not Take Me In " In a conference call with my insurance company the manager was informed that the facility would need to send a claim to the insurance company and get paid based on the processed claim; A front desk person was rude and refused to let me speak with the manager until she gets my name. read more

Been using this facility for about the last 4 years. Clean office, quiet, nice facility but too long of a wait for an exam that that is fairly quickly. Think this office attempts to fit more appointments in than it can handle within an hour so thus a delay. About 30-45 min wait before being seen. If your appointment is earlier in the day, it might go quicker. Other than that the facility is ok. I'm giving this place 4 stars because the technicians are very friendly and explains the procedure to be done to keep the patient informed and comfortable. read more

Place is conveniently located in Lindhyrst. Very clean place, fairly new, staff is nice but office is extremely busy, especially on Saturday's. Staff has been accommodating with taking time to answer any questions we have. The process of having the MRIs is what drags....depending on what they are doing, it may be time consuming but I'd rather wait, as long as it's done properly. I would recommend this facility to all. read more

This is the second time I have to come to request my medical records of which require urgency and the staff has continued to withhold it from me which is a HIPAA violation. I have signed a records release and my records are still not personally given to me. The two staff members named Kathy and Jennifer left me standing for quite a long time only to tell me to come back another day. She pulled her mask down and refused to assist me in this urgent matter. I would appreciate someone to resolve this matter before taking things a step further. A patient deserves to be respected and treated appropriately especially when there is an urgent health condition to worry about. Thank you. read more

I was had a CT scan with contrast scheduled prior the appointment I spoke with the office on 4 separate occasions, twice to confirm my appointment and twice to scheduled the pick up of the radioactive dye to drink. It was not until an hour before my appointment and after I had drank the radioactive dye did they mention they were still waiting on issuance approval and proceed to canceled my appointment. Offered nothing more than a curt apology of someone should have called you sooner and proceeded to blame the doctor's office for not sending the requested info to the insurance company. I should also mention I had to wait three and half weeks for my appointment. It's a slow, unprofessional, and disorganized facility. read more

Totally inefficient and unfriendly group of people running this office. We came 35 minutes early for our appointment and still waited another 30 minutes to fill out paperwork. All they say to everyone who walks through the door is have a seat until someone calls you. I will never use this center again nor would I ever recommend it. It is like one hand doesn't know what the other is doing. Word of advice, bring in a professional to re-vamp your office staff and take a class on how to deal with your clients. I received a negative replies, to most of my questions, so I am afraid to go therenow, and have her, or someone similar to her, with ZERO courtesy towards patients. Terrible by all means. Had to wait forever to get my scans report. And my doctor never got them till his office and I kept on calling the radiology center for them to send it. Had to go back for more imagings since they had my films there; and God knows when my doctor will be getting this new report!!!! Will never go back again and not recommending this place to anyone. Long wait, no handicap tools. Took my wheelchair bound mother here for an ultrasound. The staff was super nice. We arrived at 11:30 for a noon appt, we weren't taken in until 12:30. They have no exam tables that are handicap accessible. We had to get 3 people to lift my mother up onto the exam table. Dangerous and kind of a nightmare. I asked what is the plan for handicapped people? The answer was they didn't have one. The technician was very nice, but unreal that they don't have any lifts or tables that lower. read more

I have been coming here for at least 4 years now as the place I used to go to began giving me results that were ambiguous. This center has always given me precise results. All staff is very cordial and professional. No one wants to go through certain tests, but to maintain yourself healthy you need to be ahead of anything that may come your way. I have been going here for YEARS and must say that the last 4 years I have seen a drastic change for the worse! Mamo/ultra sound each year and I almost always get called back for a recheck which is very scary. Getting results have gotten progressively worse since I began going here over 10 years ago. My last mamo recall I waited 6 weeks for my results. It probably took 6 years off my life waiting for those results. The staff at the desk has changed too. They do not care, do not return calls, attitudes and put you on long and numerous holds on the phone. If that was not enough, the time spent in the waiting room is ridiculous! Needless to say, I will be picking up my records and going to a new radiology center where you get your results SAME DAY or within reason! read more

I have had 3 visits in which I was forced to pay my "insurance deductible" and when my insurance was billed they paid in full. Thus the center took double payment. When I called for refunds for 3 separate instances of this I had to make multiple calls and wait months for a refund. I am still waiting for the last refund. I will be reporting them to to NJ division of consumer affairs and I will not be going there again. read more

Absolutely terrible experience. I dont even know where to start. The radiology center got me information from my doctor knowing that I needed an MRI. Then proceeded to call me and I missed the call, I proceeded to call back and have a 5 minute conversation with the receptionist about my case. Stating that I was called and wanted to see why I was called, and they said they have information that I need an MRI. I then asked them to see if my insurance accepted my doctors request and they said IT WAS ACCEPTED. They then proceed to make me an appointment for the following day. Making me take of off work that day just to drive 30 minutes, and pay the poll associated with the trip. Once I got there the receptionist said that they dont have any of my information in their system. I then showed them my call log indicating that THEY called me yesterday to book this appointment and THEY told me my insurance request was approved. They then tell me that in fact they DO NOT TAKE MY INSURANCE PROVIDER. Which mad me extremely frustrated... They poached my information from my doctor and LIED TO me about my approval from the insurance, as well as LIEING that they booked me. This was EXTREMELY Unethical from them poaching my information to them lying about my approval. I drove a total of 1 hour that day and payed multiple tolls just to have been rejected at the front office. I have never in my life experienced such un professional behavior in my life. I really hope that these FRAUDS close their poorly ran facility soon because they do not belong in the business of healthcare. read more

I was the first patient of the day was kept waiting for 30 minutes past my appointment time (which I arrived 15 minutes early for, per their instructions, to fill out the same paperwork I completed on a previous visit). It's now been one week from my appointment and I still do not have my x-ray results. Hopefully my ankle isn't fractured because I've been walking on it for over a week now while I wait for the results.... read more

Horrible, Horrible experience! Do yourself a favor and don't go there. I had an a appointment for a catscan with contrast due to a possible hernia. The day of the appointment I had to drink 2 bottles of that disgusting smoothie. The front desk told me not to go to the bathroom. I am now there and waiting over 1 hour. I believe they let someone they new ahead of me. I told the staff that I was in pain and couldn't wait any longer . They told me you can go to the bathroom but I would have to drink more of that disgusting drink. So I decided to wait because I was not drinking anymore of that! Finally I meet the tech and she tells me It's ok I can go to the bathroom and that she knows better because she's been doing this for 36 years. Really! This is what you tell your patients. Seriously everyone was telling me something different. I am now ready for my catscan and the tech pricked me once in my left arm and couldn't get a vein. Then switched to my right arm and pricked me two more times. She said that she couldn't do it and would get a nurse. I told her NO and I was done! I forgot to mention it was 85 degrees in the room because their air-condition was not working. She said make sure you reschedule when there is a nurse here. I don't think so. I couldn't have chosen a more unprofessional place!!! read more

My grandfather had a 9:45 appointment but we were told to come in 15 minutes prior to fill out paperwork. It Took 30 minutes to get the papers and fill out his insurance papers. Took another hour to get him to have a simple X-ray because they forgot about him. He's 74 and can't stand long due to his breathing problems, when he asked why we were waiting over an hour, the receptionist was rude and told him he had to wait again. Take my advice and go to another place. It'll save you time and you won't be aggravated. Don't bother coming here at all. Horrible place to go for a X-ray. read more

This place has gone downhill. I made an appointment and when I got there I was told the radiologist called in and wasn't going to make it for my appointment. They wanted to know if I could wait another HOUR for another one to come in. I did not wish to kill the day there so I rescheduled for the following week. The day of the appointment I got there 10 minutes early for my 2pm appointment, with my paperwork all filled out. It took over 5 minutes for the one person there to acknowledge me. The place was empty except for me and one other patient who told me he got there 30 minutes early so even though my appointment was before his they took him first! At 2:35 I asked when I could expect to get my test done and she told me the radiologist was performing an MRI so as soon as that was over. ONE radiologist! One person behind the desk! I asked for my prescription back and went to Rutherford Radiology where I should have gone to begin with but because I live in Lyndhurst I went to the Lyndhurst facility. Never again!! read more

I wish I could have rated this a -10. I was asked to arrive at 3:30 for a 3:45 appointment. I arrived at 3:20. There were two people in front of me on the list. I wasn't called to the window till 3:50, after my appointment was scheduled. Filled out the paperwork quickly to make sure there wouldn't be too long a wait. At 5:20 I asked to speak to a manager. I knew I wouldn't get to see one, but what the heck. The young girl told me maybe she could help me. When I told her my issue she said but you didn't even sign in and realized her mistake so she asked my name. She said I would be next. I asked why I had to wait so long when everyone that had arrived before me had already been in and out. Having worked in a radiology office at one time I know that techs sometimes handle more than one modality, but why was I pushed back? I was only going for a bone density test thank God! I believe that those techs also do x-rays and such so I felt like others went in before me. She called "Alex" the tech and I waited for 4-5 minutes and he still hadn't called. Was he even in the building? I asked for my script back and she said are you sure? "Alex" hasn't called yet. Considering there was only one other person who had completed their paperwork waiting, I'm sure I was next, but I said no. Just give me the script and I would be going on line to give a nice review. A one is much more than they deserved. While I was waiting two people came in to pick up reports. One waited almost an hour before loudly complaining to the staff. The other person also decided to complain. (Both had come in after me.) I tried to be patient but waiting 2 hours for a test that would take 20 minutes seemed like long enough! There are other good radiology sites in the area. I just decided that since this one was 5 minutes from home I would try it. Never again!!! read more

This place is Horrible. Everything everyone else says on the poor reviews is very true. The girls in the front are so very rude, will slam the window in your face & told to go sit. The only nice people at that desk are Lillian, & Ann..if they are still there. Then after waiting forever, told to go in for Mammogram, well this one was even worse. short,nasty, short blonde hair with an accent, maybe Russian, Polish, doesn't really matter. The description is only cause I was too upset to get her name. She was so rough with my breasts, & when I told her to stop cause I was in excruciating pain, she started yelling at me!!! And kept talking nasty, that I was causing her more problems! All these years going for Mammo, never did anyone hurt me like she did. Never again. Then I get a notice they may have seen something, come back for ultrasound, had to wait 1 week with worry. Took exrays to Dr., she said it was nothing. They have done this to me before, it is just a deceitful money making scheme. Trying to get your exrays is another joke. Like I don't have the right to my own records. This place is truly terrible, don't go there, they have no integrity. Don't trust anything they say. read more

This place is clean, nice and very accommodating. I was having back pain my doctor writes like chicken scratch I was not able to read the script at all. I went to the office they were able to decrypt the script and see me on the spot. Im not sure if they are under new management because im not sure what the other reviewers are talking about. read more
