1 Star -- Wow, What a Treat If you've ever wanted to pay premium prices for the privilege of being micromanaged on the clock while trying to enjoy your hobby, this is the place for you. Let me start by giving credit where it's due: most of the staff were surprisingly respectful, professional, and efficient -- which makes it all the more impressive that the range safety officer managed to singlehandedly suck the joy out of the entire experience. He struts around like he's guarding Fort Knox, barking orders with the charm of a DMV line and the humility of a reality show villain. Safety is important, sure -- but there's a big difference between keeping people safe and acting like you're commanding a battalion in Fallujah. And then there's the time limit. One hour. One. For the price they charge, I half expected someone to reload my mags and pat my back between rounds. But no -- just the privilege of watching the clock tick down while praying the guy next to me doesn't get scolded for breathing too enthusiastically. Compare that to American Shooter, where $15 gets you the freedom to shoot all day like a normal human being, not like you're renting a bowling lane at peak hours. I normally go to the range during the hot summer days to shoot but found my CCW expiring and enrolled a few days before. Painless experience. My instructor was Jeffrey, probably one of the most down to earth instructors I've ever had, both professionally or personally. Great guy, excellent time management and good sense of humour. I went through the whole training course with Casey Bridges to attain my CCW and it was very informative while having some humor to keep the class from feeling crass. The place is very special and you can feel the passion for arms training displaying the importance of keeping up with the familiarity of using a deadly weapon responsibly. I used to love this place. Super affordable, clean, organized. Most of the staff is friendly. One of them is a bit overzealous and on edge. Like a chihuahua showing you you're not welcome. I went in for a quick session yesterday. I'm a pretty avid shooter. Not a professional by any means. I understand the basic rules of any range. I made an honest mistake of holding my gun at the line on a lane. It was already chamber checked and pointed down. Immediately, a "Napoleon complexed" range officer ran in and grabbed my arm and the gun out of my hand. Scolded me like I was a ten year old. Keep in mind I was respectful the entire time. I was simply waiting to put my gun on the range counter. I apologized whole heartedly and went about my time. I then went out to ask if I could have the lane next to me and my friend's. We had too much equipment to be squeezed in one lane. I saw that the range officer was already asking for me but at the same time belittling me to another co worker. He then proceeded to talk down to me again saying, "I don't want anymore problems from you, do you understand?" At that moment I practiced restraint and kept my mouth shut. Not an easy thing for me. But for the rest of my range time I had this tiny angry man staring at me like I was a criminal. Where I'm from you don't stare at someone like that unless you're trying to escalate the situation to an altercation. Range 702, please remind your employees that your establishment is a business. I PAID to enjoy myself and practice. I didn't PAY to be treated like a child and threatened. Customer service is more imperative in these financial times. Speak to me with kindness and I will comply. This is a service industry town. If you want to continue to be prosperous, please train the one or two bad apples who don't have good CUSTOMER SERVICE, that repeat guests make or break a business. Booked this for my husbands birthday. You can request a shuttle that will pick you up at your hotel, bring you to the range and then back to your hotel. My husband loves Call of Duty so I got him the Black Ops package. He absolutely loved it. He wants to do it again. The Range 702 is where I decided to go and get my refresher for my CCW and I would have to admit that I strongly dislike doing this because I always have a fear/anxiety that I will be the only woman in the room so I tend to bring my spouse with me so I have someone there for support because of my anxiety. I saw others ladies in the lot waiting for the doors to open and was hopeful but no such luck they were not coming to the renewal class. My instructors for the day were Jeff and Lily. Jeff was cool and shared some of the news that I had not heard of about guns, I tend to not watch the news because it's mainly negative. I learned not only what was going on in the world but the laws that have changed as well as learning the importance of having the right kind of insurance. Lily the other instructors was a BONUS because I was NOT the only lady in the room and when I asked questions she was happy to help and just made me feel better. Not only did I pass my knowledge test with a 49 out of 50 questions I passed my shooting test as well and I was really proud about that because I had not been to the range for some time. Now I think I will have to come and keep up my practice and maybe even take classes with the kiddos too! I will be seeing them again for sure! The price of the class was NOT overly expensive and I loved the ease of scheduling the session and that I received a reminder call the day before for a real live person instead of an automated message. read more

Not a Fan. The staff lacked knowledge of how the place "works," which included dealing with regular customers, like firearm's instructors. Additionally, an older female staff member was extremely rude to me and my instructor; she had a bad attitude and a foul mouth. I understand the reasons for running a tight ship but that does not give anyone license to be rude to customers. With all the range and shooting options in the valley, there's no need to go here - and I won't be returning. And just FYI, if you're going with the family, be prepared to explain to your kids about what a strip club is, because there's a huge one right next door. read more

The CCW Renewal Class is outstanding. The instructor Casey is aware that the class is experienced with firearms and does not waste your time. Goes over the necessary material and you qualify. Four hours goes by quickly and you get comedy relief from the instructor along the way. Perhaps I will apply for a position on the staff, seems like a great place to work. Highly recommended if you want to be treated like an experienced gun owner and not a kindergarten student. The staff is friendly and professional, and the restrooms are super clean. I came to this range because Battlefield Vegas was closed due to the recent fire. Overall, it was an okay experience. The facility was clean and the staff were generally professional, but a few things stood out in a negative way. The gun selection was pretty limited--mostly just the typical options you'd expect, nothing too unique or exciting. Also, it felt like the staff and RSO there were rushing us through the experience, almost like they wanted us to shoot and leave as quickly as possible. It's not a bad spot if you're just looking to shoot the basics, but if you're after more variety or a relaxed experience, battlefield vegas is a better option. I went to battlefield vegas 4 years ago for my birthday and over there, they sometimes let you handle the guns yourself--like unloading and getting a closer look--making the experience feel more hands-on and worth the money. I am an experienced shooter myself and i don't know about other people but it's not a full experience for me if you can't load or unload some of the firearms yourself. Also some guns aren't listed on the menu but then were available once you got in the range to shoot. For example, I choose 5 guns the usual, M4, AK, SAW, 50 cal, and a mp5. Mid-shooting the AK was misfiring alot so the RSO asked me if would i like to shoot something else since their AK was misfiring i said sure and looked at their gun locker. While looking inside i see a SCAR L sitting in there and asked if i could replace it with the AK instead. He agreed and let me shoot it but then the thing is their SCAR L is not even listed on their menu but available in the range which made no sense if its available why don't put it on the menu. Prices wise is the same for all ranges and shooting five guns was about $200. But in the end it was an ok experience for me, Its very touristy and if you want to shoot the typical stuff go for it but if you want to shoot a bigger variety of stuff then battlefield vegas is the top one out of all ranges in vegas read more

Booked the "Spring Experience" package, but never got to shoot. Their website clearly says 100 rounds for this package, and we paid extra to double it for 200 rounds. The girl at the counter looks at me like I'm crazy for even suggesting they have such a package. When I show her a screenshot of the site, she goes "well that tells me nothing", so I had to pull up their own site and show her the booking step by step. She then talks to ber boss, and the only response was yeah that was a mistake on their site, and they can't do anything but offer a package that offers only 40 rounds or to refund my money, which now will take days to get refunded. She says 40 rounds for $100 is the absolute best they can offer and nobody in the business offers anything better. Bad experience and no apology offered on their bad website info. read more

What an awesome shooting range. The staff are knowledgeable and friendly. It's a very clean environment. There's separate men's and women restrooms that are clean also. They offer one on one sessions and they have group sessions also. Or if you want to just rent your own stall and shoot on your own, you're welcome to as long as you have the proper safety equipment and ammunition. If you do not have the proper safety gear (eyes & ears) they have some for rent. They do sell guns & ammo and they rent out certain guns. They're all very helpful so don't hesitate to ask for any help or answer any questions. I had a couple jams and they're there to help me no problem and they didn't make me feel bad about it either. Please follow all their rules because it's for the safety of each person that's in this building. I definitely recommend this indoor shooting range! read more

For transparency, this review is specifically for the CCW class with Sarge and Stephanie, taken almost two years ago. I am only now leaving this review after our experience has been shared among friends on multiple occasions. This is separate from an earlier review I left under April H. This class was a complete disappointment for us after reading so many good reviews. It might seem great for those who are new to firearms or the legality of carrying, but for anyone with real experience, it was quite appalling. At the beginning, everyone was asked to introduce themselves, share their firearms experience, and state what firearm they planned to carry daily and what they brought that day. My husband is a quiet, reserved man who briefly stated that he was a combat veteran with many years of recent professional firearms experience and that he was currently carrying a Kimber 1911. Despite that, the instructor Stephanie told him his Kimber 1911 was "too flashy because of the wood grips" and "too advanced for anyone to carry." It was funny hearing her call a 1911 "too advanced" when it's a 100-year-old design known for its simplicity and reliability. We thought she was joking, but she was not. The entire class seemed more focused on her personal opinions than on meaningful instruction. Stephanie also made some outrageous claims, such as that if you shoot someone justifiably but have any custom features, like a Punisher logo or modified trigger, you will automatically be charged because of the "look" of your weapon. She gave an example saying that if two people were involved in the same shooting under the same circumstances with different weapons, the one with a .357 would be guilty and the one with a 9mm would not. She also pushed specific ammunition brands (Winchester Ranger and Speer Gold Dot) because "Metro uses them," claiming that would forge a bond between you and the responding officers and make you less likely to be charged. A large portion of the class was spent promoting USCCA insurance instead of teaching relevant material. It honestly felt like a biased sales pitch rather than legitimate training. Sarge joked about police shootings, which was highly concerning and grossly inappropriate. He told us how officers sometimes invoke the Tueller Rule to justify purposely waiting until a suspect gets within 21 feet so they can shoot them. He even joked that we could do the same. During the range portion, my husband demonstrated the most experience, control, and accuracy of anyone there, yet he was the only one rushed by an instructor who tried to forcibly disarm him after a simple stovepipe malfunction. It was obvious what had happened since the shell was visibly lodged in the ejection port, holding the slide back. He had already lowered his weapon and maintained muzzle discipline, but Sarge still ran up frantically and grabbed at the firearm, even after my husband had already cleared it quickly and safely. He felt this was dangerous, unnecessary, and unprofessional. There was no safety threat, and his weapon was fully under control. As the shooter beside him, I felt uneasy and stressed witnessing how the situation was handled, and it caused unnecessary tension among others on the line. Panic and frantic reactions do not make a situation safer; they spread confusion and risk when calm, controlled safety measures should be the standard on a live range. To make matters worse, several very inexperienced shooters who performed abysmally were still given a pass on the range portion. There were individuals who hit less than ten percent of their shots on target and still walked away certified. That was deeply concerning and showed how little emphasis was placed on actual firearm proficiency or safety standards. Overall, this class was full of misinformation, poor judgment, and unprofessional behavior. It felt more like an infomercial for insurance than a serious concealed carry course. I would not recommend it to anyone who genuinely wants to learn about responsible and lawful firearm ownership. read more

The range is well taken cared of, the staff is welcoming, and if you want to shoot full auto on various guns, you can. I decided to become a member as being a local and going to the range more than 2 times a month, it just made sense. On top of that, I signed up to take the CCW class and the instructors were superb.
