Came here for breakfast. Stayed next door at the Hilton so this market (Pybus Public Market) was a quick 3 min walk. The server was friendly and attentive constantly filling up my friends coffee cup without her asking. Prices are fair and the portions are good for what you paid for. I got the farmers Benedict minus the tomato and minus English muffin and instead ask them to serve it on top of the hash browns. Huck is a solid place for dining in Wenatchee, especially if you're at Pybus Market where Huck is located. Its sister restaurant, The Wild Huckleberry is a beloved breakfast spot in Wenatchee that the locals love, so was happy to learn in my most recent visit to Wenatchee that there's now Huck. We came here for dinner on a Saturday night and surprisingly, the restaurant wasn't busy. We were easily able to be seated as soon as we showed up; however, I did visit Pybus Market the following Sunday morning and saw that every table was taken for breakfast. Perhaps it's more popular then, but the dinner was pretty darn delicious. I ordered the beef stroganoff while my partner had the ribeye. We were given complimentary bread with whipped butter and our entrees came with a choice of soup or salad. We both had the house salad and our entrees came out soon after. Portions were huge, so ended up leaving with leftovers, which served as another meal. The stroganoff was very rich, but delicious with the caramelized onions and tender beef with perfectly cooked pasta. My partner's ribeye came with veggies and mashed potatoes with a demi glaze and bleu cheese crumbles on top. His entrée was also rich, but he enjoyed it. Food was solid. Because Huck is located in the market, there's seating inside, but also outside in the main market hall where you can see all those passing by. Staff was super friendly and attentive. We had a good time here and would recommend Huck for anyone looking for a nice place to eat in Wenatchee. read more

Perhaps it benefits from the charming ambiance of the Pybus Public Market, on a Friday night, with live music directly across from our table, but our time spent at Huck was a pretty memorable occasion. Having just arrived from Portland a few hours prior, we were pretty famished from the long drive, and after looking over the menus of all the restaurants within the market, we settled on Huck, as there appeared to be no wait, as well as the aforementioned reasons. My wife and I went back and forth on what we wanted to order; we kept selecting the same items, and decided to split the difference and share whatever we settled on, which ended up being the Angry Chicken Fettucine and the Burger Dip, respectively. Some soft, warm bread would soon arrive, which was thoroughly enjoyed by all, including our newborn son. Both entrées were fantastic, with the fettucine being the preferred of the two: it had enough kick to be noticeable, but not overpowering, and a potent flavor that both of us enjoyed. As mentioned previously, the environment here is wonderful. The whole market has a bustling air about it that infuses itself into the whole dining experience. Service was a little slow to start (it took a while for our server to notice us), but once things got rolling, all the pieces fell into place spectacularly. Cute little restaurant in the Pybus Public Market. It was a Saturday- so it was pretty busy. After a short wait we were sat. I have to preface that a true mark of a great breakfast place is when they put any thought whatsoever into the coffee they serve. Huck serves Tony's coffee- roasted in Bellingham - fantastic coffee- A+ for that!! The very sad part is that they serve their cream in the little cups from the 80s- full of preservatives and chemicals your body should not consume!!! Today I went to The Huck restaurant at Pybus and had a very upsetting experience. My daughter and I were waiting to be seated when a white woman arrived after us and was taken to a table first. I approached the waitress and said, "Hi, we were here before that lady, but you seated her first." The waitress responded, "I didn't see you--I'm busy. You have to wait there. I'll be right there when I have time." This was especially surprising because she had walked right past us while we were standing there. She didn't apologize or take any responsibility. Instead, she acted like it was my fault for not being noticed. It was frustrating, disappointing, and honestly made me feel like we weren't treated equally. This is not the kind of service you expect from a nice restaurant. I left feeling disrespected--and it's hard not to feel that race played a role in how we were treated. I hope the management takes this seriously. No customer should be made to feel invisible or less important. read more

It was our last day in Wenatchee and decided to find a place to eat. My daughter suggested Pybus so we headed there to see what was open. There were 2 places back the back open for breakfast. We used to live in Wenatchee many years ago and frequented the original Huckleberry's and loved it. We all didn't want to have left overs since we had hours of driving back home. We had a large party of 6 so the server was able to get some tables together quick. Looking at their menu they offered an area with smaller portions, just what we needed rather than splitting meals. We all decided on the same thing, a 2 egg omelet with a french toast. We got our food within 15 minutes. Our server was awesome. My coffee was probably one of the better ones I've had on our trip. This was disappointing. Starting out, we were crammed into a small four top table that barely had room for our cups let alone the food. Then we ordered and after we had said no ham, no bacon, no sausage on every order, she came out with bacon on the plate. OBVIOUSLY, we are vegetarian. We also ordered gluten free toast which on the receipt said glutten free. I guess they can't spell either. When the food came out, we were completely ignored. Empty coffee cups. No Tapatio we asked for. She eventually came to check on us after an age when we are nearly done eating and I asked again for the Tapatio and some coffee. $3.49 for a coffee with one refill because we were completely ignored. Not cool at all. Normally, you get coffee immediately when you ask for it and someone refills your coffee keeping it full and hot during your entire dining experience. Not here. Flies everywhere - so gross and annoying to spend the entire time waving flies away from our food. No choice in jam. They just give you whatever flavor they feel like apparently. No offering of boxes for food to go. Had to hunt her down and ask. Just disappointing all around. I normally over tip. Not this time. One of the lowest tips I've ever given in my life. Seated off the concourse and in the main dinning area that was very comfortable. I'm told they're working to utilize a covered outdoor area in the warmer months. Service was sweet complete with recommendations. We stated with glasses of the Pinot which worked well with selections: *Deep Fried Deviled Eggs $9.99 * Huck Burger &14.99 with brie, bacon, pickled red onion & arugula. I requested the habanero huckleberry jam on the side as it can overwhelm your tastebuds but a must to get the full delicious effect is the Huck. You can dip your fries in it too. Oh, awesome fries. Crunchy/crispy on the outside and gooey inside. For 15 bucks this is a solid choice. * Meat Loaf $15.99 was good. Not totally sold but I will revisit as I rotate through the menu. The gravy was a nice touch to the rich meat and tomato flavor. There's a Happy Hour! That great time of day survived Covid and is alive and well at Huck daily from 4-6 with drink and food deals. Got to Huck on a Sunday morning at 7:55am right before opening and was happy we had because this place starting at opening (8am) gets busy and very quick. Ordered no beverage and had the small order eggs Benedict with bacon instead of ham. The fact that they give you an option is great! The hash browns were my favorite, but the Hollandaise not so much. Tucked inside Pybus, Huck caught our attention with their pies. We had two main meals, a kids meal, and dessert. They're known for their brunch, and the Farmers Market Eggs Benedict had a creamy hollandaise sauce over poached eggs, vegetables, and English muffins. It might be the only item we order again. The clam chowder was fine, a bit salty. Decent egg salad sandwich. They had at least five different types of pie. We went with coconut instead of lemon or maple cream pie. Regrets. My experience is underwhelming. We ordered a 3 cheese omelette and a huckleberry burger. Both food are in small size. The hashbrown was burnt and overcooked. The only good thing is the fries, but they are many competitors in Wenatchee, such as Dizzy D's, EZ, and Mission Burger, etc. The price is not worth it, and even iHop makes bigger and better omelettes. We were visiting our in-laws in Wenatchee so decided to stop at our favorite Pybus market. Huck looked homey so we checked it out. First impression of the menu - sticker shock! Average entree price is mid twenties. I ordered the meatloaf which was $20.99 and it was not bad. Hubby's pork chops was $25.99. The menu said it came with two 5 oz chops but he only got one which was lame. He didn't say anything until after we got home. Daughter's beef Stroganoff was $24.99 but it only came with 4 tiny pieces of beef. Where is the beef?! We got our salads right away but the entree took another 30 minutes. They don't have tables for large parties; seating was even tight for 5 people. Overall, I would not recommend Huck due to the steep price for what you get. read more

We arrived at around 8:30 and were seated quickly on the back deck. Other tables were seated after us. There were two servers working this area and neither one acknowledged our presence. The table that was seated after us was served and other tables were cleared. But neither server so much as said "I'll be there in a minute." Twenty minutes went by. No one said anything to us. Amazing food! We stopped here on a whim for breakfast on a Saturday and were so impressed, we drove 40 minutes out of our way Sunday for breakfast again before heading home to Bremerton. I'll start off by saying, I have very high expectations because of the original Wild Huckleberry. That location truly has the best breakfast in town! Now, for Huck to be a branch off of WH is a bit comical. Aside from the menu, there isn't much in common. Huck lacks the cozy ambiance and warm presence that WH staff exudes. The food is also very... mid, to put it politely. I ordered the 3 Cheese Primavera omelet and the omelet came with basically three pieces of rigid, frozen cheese slices on top. The taste was okay. On the side I had biscuits and gravy which weren't too bad. The biscuits were flat but tasted fine. Overall, this place isn't too bad, 2 or 3/5 if you have your expectations middle to low. Although, compared to the original sister restaurant, I'd say it's 1/5. I think improvement in the food quality and presentation would greatly improve this establishment. We have eaten here several times with our cousins. It has always been good. I wish I could say the same about today but I can't comment on the food because we never got seated. When we got there they said it would be a 20 minute wait. We were ok with that They even sent a test text to make sure they have our right number to text us when our table was ready. After 30 minutes my husband check and there were several empty table that just needed to be cleaned. After another 15 minutes we left and went to another restaurant within the market. After 45 minutes we finally got a text from Huck's that our table was ready. Since there are several restaurants in town I am not sure we will be going back here anytime soon. read more
