He took about an hour and ten minutes which is record timing because everyone else takes 3 to 4 hours and Altan looked his absolute best after this cut. I recently moved back home to Encino after losing both my mom and my husband this year, and brought my two dogs--Duchess (Dalmatian) and Duke (German Shepherd)--with me. My dad also has a German Shepherd, Dexter, so we suddenly became a three-dog household! My dogs have had mobile grooming before, but I was extremely nervous about grooming my dad's dog. I honestly thought I'd need to muzzle him and even stay in the van during the wash. I had an appointment scheduled a week in advance for a grooming at 9am. It was confirmed when I made the appointment. I called an left a message at 8:45am to be sure it was still on time. Got an automated voice mail. Left another at 9:30 - nothing. Followed up with two emails - nothing until a call at 11:15!!! The caller said "this is the groomer- and I said the one that didn't return my calls or messages!?!" I was able to call another groomer - BarkBus - who were able to send a groomer that came out at 11:30 and my dog was taken care of thoughtfully and thoroughly. When I was looking for a groomer I was very particular because I had heard too many horror stories of groomers who didn't know how to do Pomeranians properly and winded up damaging their undercoats (and I didn't want that!) So when I met Michael and spoke to him about my concerns he immediately assured me and even scoffed when I told him how a previous groomer said it was impossible to get mats out. It's been over a year and to this day we are 100% satisfied with his services. Every time our boy walks away with such a beautiful soft coat that gets compliments all the time. Typically during my lunch break I'll take a walk around Sherman Oaks Galleria, one day this store caught my eye! I had needed to pick up some dog booties for our corgi puppy so I decided to check it out. The interior is wonderfully decorated and the AC is heavenly in the summer heat. Not only that but the owner is so sweet! Michael immediately greets you and knows exactly how to help you out. I know next to nothing about dog boots and Michael walked me through it, helping me pick out a pair. Not only that but in case they didn't fit he offered to let me exchange them. (which did end up happening and there was absolutely no hassle!) On top of this I purchased a balm for cracked paws or sores for your dog, it works wonders! Caesar, our corgi, had a pretty bad crack and this healed it up and soothed him. All in all, excellent customer service and a vast inventory for all your dog needs! Wow, is all i can say. What an amazing transformation Michael (very nice to talk to) did with my Dexter. I did not even recognize him! I got a rescue dog they said he is a maltipoo, but not sure. His hair was matted and he looked like a stray dog. I am not sure he ever had a cut before so i was not sure how he would react to all this. But when i saw him being brushed and so beautiful and behaving it brought tears to my eyes. I was so pleased i found a groomer who cared about him and one he liked as well. His hair was so soft and fluffy and man did he smell good lol. He is one handsome and happy boy. I would 100% recommend Michael and The Real Dogs for your fur babies.
