Our first visit today to this restaurant. It was busy at 12:30pm on a Saturday the entire time we were there! Food was good, especially loved the salsa and chips! I had a chicken quesadilla that was very good; my husband had beef and chicken street tacos with beans and rice and he liked it. Service was good. I will caution people that the tacos are served in baskets with a paper liner which is fine, but some people may prefer or expect plates. We highly recommend and will return soon!! read more

It's a very small place, but their street tacos are delicious, especially with the authentic sauces available! I got a chicken and a beef and felt like the beef had more flavor. Others in my party agreed. My hubby wanted a pork tamale, but they were out--hope to try that next time. Note-- they don't offer chips, so if you order guacamole, it's to put it with your other food. We went in a Sunday after church and it wasn't too crowded. I noticed a lot of to-go orders being processed. When we left, several of the staff yelled out "thank you" and "goodbye." This place is amazing. I used to work over at 21st and Garnett but I haven't had a good torta in 15 years since I quit working in that area but this place is maybe even better. I've been waiting for a restaurant near my house (north of the river in Bixby) that I would say I crave and this place IS IT! It doesn't look like much from the outside and isn't very big but I had some of the best tacos at lunch I've eaten in my life. Menu isn't huge but a decent variety. They do serve beer and alcohol if a cerveza with your Mexican food is important (I was on my lunch break). They also have a fresh salsa and condiment bar that all the best toppings for your tacos. I ordered a red taco (there biria beef and cheese taco dipped in the red juice), a pork tamale and a fish taco. I was blown away by all 3. Incredibly authentic. The fish taco had an incredible balance of flavor and the lightly breaded fish was hot and fresh. It was all so good that I ordered an additional taco. I got the shrimp and you have to try it. Can't wait to come here again and so happy to have a good restaurant in Bixby. read more

Not bad food .. probably be fine ordered to go but we go to restaurants for service and atmosphere .. it's lacking for service but it is a taco bar .... Once your order everything u need is in a buffet and it's help yourself but no one mentioned on arrival.... I'd hit it again if the taco truck and the other restaurant in town was closed read more

This place is amazing! The food was good we got the red tacos and the king plate we got the birria meat and it was BOMB! Best birria ever and we also got a horchata. If you're ever near Bixby check this place out you won't regret it. I give it 2 stars for the service and location. They are very sweet and helpful, the boy explained the menu, a few people asked us how the food was and if we needed anything. The prices are fair but the portions are really, really small. I've had street tacos everywhere, even in Mexico, but these were miniature to those. $2.25 each isn't bad for a real street taco. This is just meat and bread, no onions or cilantro. Even then the meat barely had flavor. They have a condiments bar but the hottest habanero sauce was barely spicy. The beans and rice come in teeny tiny cups. They call it a combo but don't include a drink. I'd rather make the drive to Torchys and get a $3 taco full of flavor and toppings. read more

I drive by the real taco every Sunday and pick up their homemade taco combo. Their pastor is phenomenal- the Spanish rice is delicious. My husband and I tried out their dining room for the first time and the service was top notch. He loved the mango water and his burrito. We are until we were stuffed! If I could put zero stars I would. Super bland super dry, I thought I was getting authentic Mexican food. Moved here from Houston and it's hard finding good Mexican food.everything was dry the Birria was tasteless and the tamales where really dry and tasteless as well. The photos and even the menu don't do justice to how delicious this food is. I tend to be a bit picky when it comes to meat. If it's too tough or fatty, I'm out, but every meat I've tried here is perfection. Even the skirt steak is juicy and tender and falls apart as you're eating it. The Real Taco is exactly that, The Real Taco. Having been to many great Taco shops in the Rio Grande Valley and Austin, TX area. The Real Taco is one of the only places in the Tulsa area that honestly is better. The menu is simple and the meat is of very high quality with no gristle at all. A good taco has to have good meat and the ones here are the best. The asada and arrachera tacos are great as well as the quesadillas, red tacos and tortas. The rice is also very tasty. Super excited to have a mom and pop place close by with great prices. I saw them make the corn tortilla right before I ate it. I'll be back a lot!
