Food had zero taste.. no spices like they took Prego diluted it and dumped it on the pasta then nuked the meal our other guests thought sandwiches were fair but not great and the fourth in group had meal come cold with the worse tasteless pasta dish ever bread tasted like pre frozen slices from the wholesale house presentation was worse than a drive through salad was size of an ice cream cup served in styrofoam not even cheese or condiments on table servicer was pleasant pricey for a horrible meal read more

Pub-like Italian restaurant. Service was attentive. Our wait person was struggling with the hand-held electronic ordering device. Food came out very fast. Chicken cutlet clearly commercial, not chef made. The red sauce lacked the Tomato-Basel tone of fresh marinara. All in all, the chicken parmesan was disappointing. We had a Birthday party this past weekend at the Red Door Kitchen and had a fabulous time celebrating in the Boom Boom room. The pasta bar was a big hit with our guests. The pesto sauce is so good! I almost always look at reviews before trying a new place, but this time, my wife and I spontaneously dropped in. We were greeted immediately when we walked in, we were seated, and within a couple minutes, the server greeted us, took our drink order, and within a minute, we had our drink. We then ordered an appetizer (fried mushrooms) and it was out within a couple minutes. I ordered chicken fettuccine and my wife chose to just eat the appetizer. For the food review, unfortunately, when we bit into the mushrooms, it was almost pure water, with a hint of mushroom flavor. It wasn't inedible, but not good. Between my wife and I, we ate about 50%. The fettuccine looked ok. However, it was very bland. The bread was half of a hoagie roll and it didn't have any flavor. I took three bites and my wife had one and we decided to leave. We paid our bill, provided a 20% tip for the server, and left. To summarize, good service, the restaurant was clean,but the food was not good. We gave it a try, but we won't be coming back. Now, in terms of checking reviews, I did pull it up on Yelp after we left. Had I read the reviews, I wouldn't have come here and here's why: Although out of the 23 reviews, they had a 4.6, all 5 negative reviews, the owner Bill attacked each one of them, and I suspect he'll do the same to me. Bill, I'm not a troll, and I'm not going to compare your food to Costco.... we're just citizens of Georgetown. We also happen to have two technology companies and have been in business for 27 years. I've always found feedback to be a gift. My advice to you is, stop attacking the patrons, listen to the feedback, and make improvements. If you keep attacking, don't listen to the patrons, and don't improve the food, unfortunately, I don't feel this restaurant will succeed. Take it for what it's worth.... read more

We had an incredible experience at the Red Door Kitchen. Our server and the owner were so personable and helpful. They had a super busy rush when we got there, and they were very clear in setting expectations that it was a bit busy, so it may take a while longer than normal to get our food. We shared a bottle of wine (BYOB) and didn't mind waiting a bit. They are a small establishment with limited staff, it made sense. When our food came out, it was super hot, fresh, and delicious. This is our new favorite restaurant in Georgetown, hands down. We will probably eat here weekly. We had the fried ravioli, italian beef sandwich, and the texas alfredo. Just ate here, had one of the best onion soup I ever have eaten. The meal was delicious, the service was terrific and the whole experience was great. I came to Georgetown for training and The Red Door Kitchen was the highest ranked place and the closest to where I was. I tried their Spicy Pickle Fries and a half portion of the beef Cheesesteak. While the food was not bad, it was not exceptional. Their sweet tea also left much to be desired. read more

Stopped for lunch today I had the beef steak and fries which where good The wife had the 3 cheese grilled cheese with potato tots Major disappointment for such a simple dish. Cheese was thin slices and not melted (waitress did send it back and they microwaved the hell out of it) The menu said it was on Texas toast and that bread was far from Texas toast (Waitress said that's how it made in Chicago and that's were they get there bread). it was regular bread and her Potato tots for cooked to the point that they were hard and dark brown. This was our second visit there and sadly the last. With food quality like that they will not last long in GT Judging by the responses from the owners on anything that even speaks of poor quality food he calls them a troll. Service was good! Chicken salad lacked flavor and was too heavy with mayo. Italian sausage sub on garlic bread had tasty marinara. With salty sausage and more salt on the garlic bread it was just way too salty. The onion rings were excellent! I will give them another chance sometime. read more

Wife and I tried Red Door for lunch today and OMG! Best meatball sub I've ever had. Wife had the veggie sub and loved it aa much. Then! Then! The chicken parm sandwich was served with tater tots ( not a salad or pasta ) and the burger was raw on the inside and burnt on the outside. Do yourself a favor and stay away. Nothing that we ordered was made in house. Not even the chili for the hotdogs. It came right out of a can and had been in the pot too long. Dark, dry and old. The three desserts they offer at lunch are not made in house. They only stuff the cannoli shell..doubt it. Basically, the food tasted like Sonic. Save yourself some money and just skip it and head to Sonic. Disappointment and yucky. Also no Ac. Summer in Texas. Hubby and I were sweating the whole time. Thank god we weren't there long. I ate dinner at this charming new restaurant with my husband and the food was delicious. We had some yum yum pasta dishes. the hostess was so friendly and the service was great, very helpful, attentive, and prompt. I was surprised how many interesting choices there were on the menu! really, we want to come back and try as many dishes as we can. the atmosphere is warm and friendly, and decor is a fun, old-Chicago, speakeasy kind of vibe. Everywhere you look there's a fun decor detail. Even the restroom. We saw the lunch menu and it's different- so I went back with some friends at lunch and we all loved our meals- some scrumptious sandwiches, Chicago hot dogs, enormous fresh salad with just-right grilled chicken....
