I would love to give Andrew's more stars. Well, I'm actually adding a star for the wonderful waitress. I can't recall her name, but she was very warm and hospitable. We sat outside for appetizers and drinks before a concert down the block. In fact, we paid to park in their lot for the show. It was super convenient and only $10. I didn't have a chance to go inside. Therefore, I can't offer any review on the interior. The drink that I ordered, an Old Fashioned, was ok. What I didn't care for at all were the pretzels with cheese. They reminded me of something one would order at a block party or small fair. The "cheese" was that bright yellowish orange stuff one would find in a can. It tasted like metal and was overall a complete turn-off. The table we sat at was next to a sewer grate. The smell made it a super short visit.

Yelp to the rescue! Nate and I were in the area looking for some food and drinks before a show at the Aretha Franklin Amphitheatre down the street. I hopped on Yelp and this place came up. I gave them a call to confirm they were open (highly recommend for small family owned spots like this) and indeed they were - score. I asked if they had on street parking and the bartender told me they have their own private lot - double score! We pulled in to the private lot and the owner was out there letting people know they couldn't park there for the concert. No worries for us, and we appreciated the heads up. We walked in through the back and got seated right away - it wasn't too busy yet around 5 pm on a Tuesday. It got quite a bit busier as we were leaving with lots of concertgoers. The tap list was more extensive than I was expecting, which was nice for Nate. The food menu was pretty basic bar fare; wings, sandwiches, burgers, and fried food baskets. No complaints here, it was just what we were looking for. The whole place gives a very Birch Lodge vibe, for any Grand Rapidians reading this. I ordered the chicken tenders and Nate got the corner club. Our food came out super quickly which was appreciated, as we were both pretty hungry. The chicken tenders were not quite what I was expecting; they looked like long chicken nuggets that you'd get at a school cafeteria. And that's basically what they were. But I am being 100% honest when I say I loved them! Probably a bit of a nostalgia factor there. They were super hot and fresh, and the fries were too. The club was stacked and had fresh lettuce and tomato and perfectly crispy bacon. We couldn't complain about these simple bar meals. Our bartender was super slammed at this point but was doing a great job keeping up. The owner also stopped by our table to chat with us and was greeting everyone as they came in. This is a great spot for a pre-game meal or post-game drink. They do have some outdoor seating on the sidewalk in front which is nice. I'd come back!

    "Famous" lake Erie perch sandwhich

A friend from out of town recommended this pub. Right by the river. Bar food was very good & would recommend their "famous" lake Erie perch sandwhich. Stick to beer and wine when ordering alcoholic beverages, so to minimize chances of being disappointed with a cocktail that may not be your liking. The service was good, but Staff can be overwhelmed if it gets too busy. (Expected during these times.) Met friendly owner who said business had been in the family over 100 years!!! Now that's saying something.

We were hanging out in the area when I said, "hey Andrews is on my list. Let's have lunch there". The customer service is phenomenal. The owner came to our table, and we had a conversation with him for a while. We had the buffalo wings as an appetizer. They were your regular buffalo wings. I also had the Cajun fish and chips and loved that catfish. It was cooked perfectly and seasoned well. My friend had the classic Reuben with fries and said that was very good also. I also had the Tequila Mockingbird cocktail and loved it. I'm definitely keeping Andrews on my list.

Went here on a trip to Detroit on the recommendation of a local. It was a great spot. Everyone was friendly, the drinks were well made and the location is right off the river walk. Hit up this long time family owned joint when you get a chance

Yellow perch sandwich is their lead sandwich.

My first visit to this 4th generation, family-owned business now in its 101st year. Abby was working the bar and Tom was working some (inventory?) books. Good, friendly people. Her service was prompt, attentive and knowledgeable. I could not decide between the burger or yellow perch sandwich - Abby recommended the perch. It was an excellent recommendation. It arrived quickly, direct from the fryer; hot food, hot. It was a generous portion served on a toasted hoagie bun, with both French fries and small containers of creamy coleslaw and tarter sauce. Yeah, it's $12.95 ... but it is a damn good perch sandwich. There is plenty of fenced parking in the gravel lot directly behind the building. WiFi is available; password: redwings The beer selection is extensive. CCW/CPL is not specifically disallowed by signage, but I am GUESSING that more than half their revenue is alcohol sales; so I secure my EDC in the car. Will I return? Absolutely, yes.

We arrived smack in the middle of the lunch rush with a queue out to the door but it did move quickly. The menu board has some suggestions for their pre-designed salads, bowls, burritos and smoothies. Or you can "build your own" on the fly and like Subway and Chipotle (but way better!), they add the ingredients as it goes down the line. I decided to stick with the "Kare Bear" - Romaine base with BBQ chicken, hard-boiled egg, bacon, avocado, cheddar cheese, tomatoes and red onion with their ranch sauce. It sounds like a Cobb Salad to me. I watched the young lady assemble the ingredients and toss it together then pour it into a cardboard bowl. $15.25 plus tax. Remember to grab a fork if you don't already have one at your desk. It was a bit too busy to eat in today and it was a bit too warm to sit outside. So we brought it back to the office where I demolished this huge and delicious salad. It's not cheap but it is fresh and it feels healthy. I would absolutely choose 7 Greens again for lunch. We sat at one where another group was sitting at the other end. The service was great and they constantly came outside to check on us and refill our waters and take our old plates away. We read and watched…read morereviews from a bunch of places and decided to see what the excitement was about Michigan & Trumbull. We researched the menu and decided to order ahead so that we could maximize our travel time. We arrived, and there was a small parking lot which was great since we had my elderly mother with us. I think there may have been additional parking across the street. We noticed there were picnic tables outside where people were eating pizza and upon walking in to pick up our pizza, we saw some limited indoor seating. We went to sit in a booth and were abruptly told that seating is not for "carry out customers," but we were welcome to sit outside. Ok? Their website said nothing about there being any seating, and after traveling four hours, we would have enjoyed some drinks and maybe some side dishes in addition to our pizza if the employees weren't so rude. They didn't even ask if we'd like to order something additional. So, we went outside to eat. The pizza was good, but honestly, nothing special. We ALWAYS order a cheese pizza so we can truly compare it to other pizzas. We ordered extra mozzarella on our cheese, and I'm unsure of how much cheese they normally put on a cheese pizza, but the extra cheese was no more than the other pizzas we ordered. We also ordered a pepperoni which had to the good little pepperonis that curl up. Yum! In addition we ordered a specialty pizza called "The Long Drive Home." It had vodka sauce, sausage and banana peppers. This was a crowd favorite. The sausage has incredible flavor and combines really well with the peppers and vodka sauce. I personally love vodka sauce. This one wasn't creamy like you find on pasta, but was good. Finally we did a white pizza with all cheese, ricotta and black pepper. It was also good. The garlic aioli could have a little more flavor. Not sure if there wasn't enough to taste it or if it just needs more seasoning. So, overall, the pizza is nothing special and I would recommend going for the special toppings before worrying about the extra cheese. The ambiance of the restaurant is that of many city restaurants--small, loud, nothing fancy. The picnic tables were fine. Thankfully it was not too hot and we were able to enjoy our time.
