For starters this place was very cool and the atmosphere is exactly what you're being told to expect. We went for a birthday party and had a reservation made for our entire party. Just some information to know it is primarily a bar, they only have about 6 appetizers to order from. The appetizers were good and came out very quickly. The first thing that caught my attention was the amount of times they put food down at our table we did not order after about the 3rd or 4th time of this happening it seemed to be something they do to up the bill in hopes you don't notice. The second thing that thoroughly surprised and bothered me was after ordering another round of drinks, the second the drink was put at our table the waitress came over to check us out. No one had asked for the bill so we were all confused as to why we were being told we needed to close out, especially since we had just ordered more drinks. The waitress tells our party they have another reservation coming and they need our table... We all scramble quickly to leave so there's no issue and once we were outside that's when we realized there was no time limit on our table nor did anyone ask to close out the tab. Thankfully the hula dancers and our own group made the experience great however this place is very clearly a money grab and should not be accepting more reservations than can be handled as it completely ruined the end of our experience. read more

While reservations are required, Laura the owner , was gracious enough to let us get transported to this wonderful place you see here. First off, this place is everything! The details from ceiling to wall to all the fixtures, it's very immersive, you are in the islands sir or ma'am! Goodbye Jacksonville! We were seated up front where performer Kalani Rose set the mood and infused the air with her lovely voice. The tempo was upbeat, the volume was just right, allowing for intimate conversation and lively chatter alike. Great for date nights and group outings. We ordered food including Aloha Sliders, Huli Huli Wings , and Furikake Fries. Food was good, would've loved more of the glaze on the mini burgers tho! The drinks we ordered included Mai Tai (rum based w/ orange ) and Halekulani (bourbon with pineapple orange and lemon) , these were delicious. A bit on pricey side but strong! I've been to the Red Lei Lounge several times. I took my sister last year to celebrate her 60th birthday. And I've attended all the Galentine events the past three years. My sister had the best time. She was gifted a birthday shot which she loved! We enjoyed the Polynesian dancers. And you can't beat the decor as you feel like you are chillin' in Hawaii. The food was deliscious too! The Galentine's events are the best! We were treated like queens. The tickets were reasonably priced for all you receive throughout the night. The charcuterie board was on point! Loved the mashed potato bar which included scallions, sour cream and bacon as toppers. And of course there were sweet treats too. I ordered the strawberry bruschetta with goat cheese. It was lovely! And I had the bubble bath cocktail with gin. It was so cute served in a bathtub with a rubber ducky and a huge lemon flavored bubble added for ambiance. There were local women-owned vendors. I purchased some handmade earrings as well as several sweet treats. I also found some homemade dog biscuits. Which I'm sure my boy will enjoy for Valentine's Day;) We received a goodie bag at the end of the night which had spa items placed in a makeup bag. We also received a red rose and a mini champagne bottle. And there were multiple giveaways throughout the night. I can't say enough about this local gem. The Galantines Event at Red Lei Lounge did not disappoint. Honestly every event I have attended has always been off the charts. Galantines with my Yelp Girls is an annual event. Upon entering it was all about the Gals. The Mashed Potato Bar was a hit with all the additions. We started the night with a delicious Champagne Cocktail-"Put a Ring On It". We couldn't resist ordering from creative Tiki Menu. I choose the Bubble Bath a flavorful Gin drink served in a bathtub with a rubber ducky and a lemon flavored bubble. Reserved last week on a Friday night at 7 PM with a buddy as we were going to be struck by the winter freeze so why not go out for a quick evening getaway with drinks and a show. Upon entering, it sure feels like I am back in Hawai'i with all the island decor and Tiki's galore and of course, the Polynesian-inspired show from the ladies was awesome, as they invited guests to come up to the stage and learn some Hula handles. Good thing they didn't pick us lol The food was really tasty as they paired well with our drinks. We had the Chicharron (Spiced Pork Rinds) 3 piece Aloha Sliders and Veggie Spring Rolls AKA Lumpia-Yum! For drinks, I had the Mai Tai Tiki Classic and the Painkiller Tropical Cocktail with Pussers Rum. Both were really refreshing and had the right amount of concoction of fruits and liqeuer, plus, the mugs really look cool. Make sure to go through the Resy website on the YELP app to make reservations as the show starts at 7PM from Thursday till Saturday. Super unique experience. Feels a little hidden, but the ambiance is to die for. Fun and cute date night. Food and drinks were a bit pricey, but nonetheless delicious. I was pleasantly surprised with The Red Lei Lounge. I guess I didn't pay attention to them being inside a restaurant that is at a hotel so when we pulled up I was a little worried. But then we came thru the doors inside the entry and were transported to another world. A wonderful, tiki world! They did an excellent job keeping with the tiki decor and theme. We came for an early Valentine's Day dinner and had never been here before. We have been sleeping yall - what a great place. Whoever did the decor seriously knew what they were doing. From the door and wall paintings that look like dark wood stain shutters to the light up volcano that rumbles and sizzles occasionally, to the highly skilled hula dancers who are legitimate and so fun. This place pulls out the stops. They offer a five course prefixed Valentine's Day meal for two at just 65 per person, as well as a supplemental appetizer menu and tiki drink menu that will have you feeling like you're in the islands. My husband and I began with bread service (our fave was Cajun infused whipped butter) the charcuterie for two (feeding each other is romantic and tasty - right?!), the bacon wrapped goat cheese stuffed dates appetizer, and the Bleeding Heart drink, Love Potion #9 drink, the Rhum Barrel drink. I'm going to need pages for the bacon wrapped dates but will sum up - God save the chef for heaven. This amazing man roasted huge (HUGE) dates, stuffed wall to wall with goat cheese and heated until the dates resembled soft dense candy, and the goat cheese began softening to goo, wrapped in candied roasted bacon and drizzled with a classic balsamic reduction that gave a beautiful balance of not too salty, not too sour not too bitter to play with the sweet and smooth and more sweet in this lovely appetizer. Our drinks were #strong, and #so delish! Well Worth it. We both had the steak dinner with roasted Brussels, goat cheese, and sweet potato puree. Such a mouth-feel-bliss out with smooth, chunky, toasty, savory and dense delicious soft perfectly roasted steak. We got to meet and praise the chef between sets of authentic, highly talented and legit hula dancing. These girls are talented and really bring the storytelling of hula and pride of the islands to your experience on a small stage in front of the lounge. My personal drink... i got 5 minutes before we left and had to pour in a plastic cup to-go. Not acceptable. Food was decent for bar food. The 'why' no one in our party would never return.. extremely rude server. Another staff member had to step in and take over our table... we were all pulling out our chairs to leave, party of 12. Never been spoken to so abrasive/aggressively in my life over 2 chairs being relocated. The table in question never had patrons sat there the whole time we were there. Awful etiquette by her. The seasonal drink menu had so many different kinds of rum and alcohol from various countries which I really appreciated seeing Haitian rum! Went to Red Lei Lounge for the first time and was super excited to finally check them out. The interior decor is so cool! You really feel like you're on vacation, stepping into what's close to a resort style venue. Job well done on the look and feel of the place! Reservations are required and we had a reservation for 2. For seating, they have many 2 seater tables, a few 4 seaters, then a few sections with love seats and chairs. As a party of 2, we were seated at a 2 seater. We then had someone reach out to us to meet up unexpectedly and the staff was very helpful and accommodating in providing a seating solution for our 3rd person that wouldn't compromise their other reservations. The owner was also very visible, helping and introducing herself and checking on customers. She was really awesome. The drink menu consists of mostly rum based drinks, which is to be expected for a tiki themed restaurant. If you like sweet cocktails, you'll be happy. They also come is very cool glasses. Unfortunately, the food leaves much to be desired. I kept ordering things hoping to get something good. I ordered the spam fried rice, aloha sliders, and the huli huli wings. The spam fried rice is actually a tiny portion and is made with a lot of soy sauce so it's hard to taste any other flavors. The sliders looked good but the meat was actually very dry and so was the pineapple. I then ordered the wings which are described on the menu as crispy, topped with their sauce. Unfortunately they were not crispy, but rather sticky and didn't taste like fresh wings were used. If you're into sweet cocktails, I'd recommend going for the drinks given the ambience and great staff. read more

First and foremost....this establishment is run by a fellow Yelp friend and she takes so much pride and detail in helping you have the best experience! I think the drink was about $16, but I promise it equaled 2 drinks and they are definitely quite liberal on the alcohol! It was soooo good! I wanted to try more drinks, but quite frankly I wouldn't have been able to drive! Next time Im Ubering! Haha! The food menu is small, but delicious and perfect! I had pork mango sliders that were phenomenal! Yes, that good!!! Then shoestring fries that were seasoned with something great and a yummy dipping sauce. Can definitely share! This tiki bar definitely delivers on vibes the atmosphere is immersive and fun, with great lighting, décor, photo ops and an overall tropical escape kind of feel. The drinks were strong, well-made, and tasted like the real deal, authentic tiki cocktails that weren't watered down or overly sweet. If you're a tiki drink lover, you'll probably be impressed. We only tried the wings and they were okay nothing particularly memorable. The food menu is definitely limited and a bit overpriced for what you get. I get that it's a tiki bar, but some variety (or even a small nod to non-tiki drinkers) wouldn't hurt. When we asked about alternatives, the manager sharply responded, "Well, you are in a tiki bar," which came off as unnecessarily rude and inhospitable. It really killed the vibe for a moment, which is unfortunate considering how friendly the rest of the staff was. Big shoutout to the performers! I came from Orlando on business travels, I googled a good upscale place and came up with this tiki bar. I was super excited, walked up and it Appears to be a part of a hotel's restaurant. defi Confusing when there is no name of the tiki bar anywhere. I guess they try to make it into a speekeasy but it doesn't work. The servers mentioned I had to make a reservation to event go in the bar. Unfortunately, a few issues dampened the night for our group. We came as a group of 16, spread across three separate reservations. After arriving , we were told by a very curt manager that checks would be given by table only no Exceptions , but a few minutes later our server confirmed she'd would take individual names so we could all pay separately -- a big deal since we're all single guests, not couples. But at the end of the evening, the manager reversed that plan and said we'd have to pay as one single bill. No flexibility, no explanation. This put us in a tough spot trying to coordinate who owed what, with a mix of cash, Venmo, and cards. To make things worse, we were told they don't give any change because "for the safety of the employees, there's no change given ." That's a policy that should really be stated up front. It left some of us overpaying simply to settle the bill. Also, one drink had to be returned as undrinkable very bitter, and that wasn't handled with much grace and a rude comment was uttered as it was served ,And while the website advertises Polynesian dancers, none were performing that night -- apparently, they only appear on select nights, but that wasn't clear from the promo. In short, the ambiance is fun and unique, but the miscommunication and rigid service policy -- especially with a large group -- left us disappointed. I'd consider going back with a smaller group, but I'd ask a lot more questions ahead of time. read more
