Just a heads up: Sundays get busy, so arrive early if you can. We slid in during Happy Hour (5-7pm) and the salmon bites were the star of the show -- seasoned perfectly and so addictive. For dinner, we ordered the lamb chops, seafood mac and cheese, mashed potatoes, and stewed oxtails with rice and peas. The seafood mac? Honestly the best I've ever had -- creamy, cheesy, loaded with seafood. The mashed potatoes were unbelievably smooth and melted right in your mouth. The oxtails had amazing flavor, but I do wish they had cooked a little longer for that perfect fall-off-the-bone tenderness. Drink-wise, my lemon drop was delicious and balanced. My husband's Henny Sidecar was strong -- no complaints there. The drinks took a while to come out, but they made up for it with complimentary shots, which we definitely appreciated. The only downside is the 2-hour table limit paired with slower service. We would've stayed for more drinks and hookah, but the timing didn't really make sense. First visit weekday happy hour, I got the lamb chops, a burger, and wings: 1) $5 lamb chops!!! - Let's be clear: it's $5 PER LAMB CHOP, with a minimum of 5 chops, and a mandatory purchase of two sides. That already puts you at $35-40. The lamb chops were small and soggy when they came out. I would much rather pay an extra $10 or so and have a sizeable, tasty portion at a nice steakhouse. The mac and cheese was very mid. 2) $8 burger - I've had better burgers in school cafeterias. This tasted like they heated up frozen patties and threw them on a drugstore bun with lettuce, tomato, and onion. Honestly, just tasted like rubbery newspaper. Small. The fries were decent. 3) $1 wings, I got 5, lemon pepper. These also came out soggy. Tasted more like grilled house rub than lemon pepper. Maybe I should have gotten buffalo. I didn't get any alcohol, just a Sprite to wash the meal down. With the AUTOMATIC 20% GRATUITY (for a table of 1, as I came alone), my total was $70 for my three mediocre, happy hour plates. I thought okay, maybe happy hour here just isn't for me. I came back on one more occasion to try the oxtails and grits for breakfast, as I had heard good things. Taste was decent, but for $35, I got four small disks served atop some grits. I finished my plate and was still hungry. Again, for that price, there are many others doing more for less. I will say my experience with the staff was amazing. Everyone was kind, fun, and attentive. I have been following Legacy on Instagram since my friend suggested that we check it out. We planned a girl's night to get dinner and drinks. Everything I saw on Instagram the drinks and food looked delicious. I was a bit disappointed when my food arrived as my lamb chops were extremely small compared to all the photos I have seen for this entree. The chops, broccoli, and Mac and cheese were seasoned nicely and had a great flavor. I am not sure if the food had been sitting for a while before it arrived to the table as it was slightly cold. Our server was very attentive, she checked on us many times throughout the night. Extremely easy to book the reservation, through their website there is a link for Open Table where you can reserve dinner, bottle service, birthday celebration signs through the system. At the restaurant all menus are through a barcode, when you arrive you are given plasticware. There is a 20% gratuity applied to each table. I ordered a P!nk Barbie which was okay. My second drink was a Midori sour but the bar didn't Midori so they asked if I was okay to make a melon ball which I enjoyed better than the P!nk Barbie. Friday night out with friends can be a hit or miss situation. When our friends said we're going to a place in a strip mall I'll admit, I gave side eye. We got in and this place was a vibe. The other appetizer we ordered was salmon bites; this deliciousness has a fried chicken like batter with salmon that was perfectly cooked. I'll be honest, I recreated the bites at home because they were just that good. Our friends ordered fries and wings and we all ordered additional "jungle juice" and a pineapple drop. I am not a smoker, but the others enjoyed hooka; however, the flavors were limited to only one. My only issue with Legacy is the price! Let's run down what we ordered, seafood mac 'n cheese, salmon bites, wings, fries, 2 rounds of 2 for 1 drinks, 1 old fashion, 1 Hennessey neat and Hooka for $460. Now if this was Ice Plant or something, that price would be expected. This is a literal hole in the wall. Oh well, a night was had and the DJ was on his game. It was ok, but there was too much triple sec for my liking. We also tried a different recommended beverage which was the D'usse and lemonade. The drink menu features several options and look forward to trying a new one. For dinner, I ordered Sai's Salmon with Krack N Cheese and Broccolini. My friend ordered the Da Don Ribeye with Seafood Krack N Cheese and Broccolini. The menu says broccoli but broccolini is what you'll get. The food was delicious. My friend was a little disappointed in the temperature of her steak--she ordered it medium, it arrived well done and the knife wasn't necessarily a steak knife but nevertheless, still tasty. This place has a cute vibe, but it's massively unorganized. We waited 15 minutes just to be greeted by our server, then another 15 just to get water. When we ordered drinks, we ordered hookah too.... why did it take 30 minutes for that to come out? The food situation is what actually made me mad. We ordered our food, then boom about 10 minutes later one plate comes out. About 20 minutes after that, we got another plate. But an hour after we ordered our food, they came to tell us they were out of what the last two people originally ordered. They ordered MORE food then proceeded to wait another 25 minutes. And half the time our server was nowhere to be found. Absolutely crazy. Also, if you don't like loud, this is not the place for you! I do understand that it was saturday, but there were people sitting down after us getting food and drinks and still closing out before everyone had their food at our table. While we waited for our food we finished our cocktails and got $1 pink Moscato and just enjoyed the music and ambience. The servers were really friendly, the music selection was great, and the vibes were just all around there! My salmon came out hot and the asparagus was perfectly chard, the salmon was flaky and seasoned to perfection and the mac & cheese was just how I like it, crispy on one side but creamy everywhere else. My friend's pasta was rich and came with a large portion so she took hers to go after only finishing half of it. The food was great, the bar is beautiful, and the vibes are definitely there! We had a 7pm reservation, unfortunately we all didn't arrive on time and the whole party needs to be present to be seated (they allow a 15 minute grace period.) It's smaller than I expected, but still very nice. There are tvs on the walls toward the front and a large tv set up in the middle of the front wall as a focal point. Our bartender was nice and we ordered our food and drinks from her. I looked over the menu and decided to order a drink and an entree. The food is pricey, but I wanted to give it a try. I will only review my food. I ordered the Parmesan chicken breast with garlic mashed potatoes, and seafood macaroni & cheese ($6.97 fee to upgrade.) I believe my food was $35 or $40 before the charge for the seafood macaroni and cheese. My chicken breast was small, and the bread crumbs were not toasted so that took away from my expectations. The mashed potatoes were made from scratch, and the macaroni had a lot of seafood in it. GARLIC was so prominent, I couldn't enjoy the true flavors of my side dishes. The seafood Mac was garlic mac! If they could pull back on the garlic, my meal would've been much more enjoyable. The music and live DJ were a great addition to the overall vibe of the restaurant. We decided to check this place out on their $2 wine night and it did not disappoint. I was honestly surprised at how nice the place was inside. The lights are dimmed low to set the vibes and the DJs are fantastic. TVs everywhere, and a large projector screen, so we were able to watch the NBA finals and whatever else was on that night in the background. The food was pretty good too! I had the salmon which was cooked to perfection, and the Mac and cheese that was good but missing something. Couldn't put my finger on it. My girlfriend had the lemon pepper wings. The flavor was straight but we like our wings cooked a little extra well done so we didn't like the fattiness of them. My only real problem was the space. It's a small area and they make sure to have tables wherever they can. Problem with that is if you're seated in that middle row it's a lot. The bartenders debate about whose going to take our order(in front of us). We ordered food that took over a hour. Noone checked in with us or nothing. Our food comes out & a dish was missing that took another 15 min(we all ordered @ same time & we're together). I asked for a manager & the young man comes over.
