We shared the vanilla bean crème brûlée and the beignet fries, and both were absolutely delicious. If you enjoy a good cocktail, you'll love their drink menu too the cocktails are amazing, and the prices are just as impressive. What really set this restaurant apart, though, was the customer service. I had a small issue with my debit card, and the owner personally called me afterward to make sure everything had been taken care of. That level of care and attention is rare and speaks volumes about how much they value their customers. Brown Butter Depot has definitely earned a spot on my list of repeat visits. We decided to go with the Fancy Beignet Flight, which gave us a chance to try several different flavors. We got the raspberry, s'mores, and Chantilly. They came out looking almost too good to eat, covered in powdered sugar with all the different fillings and toppings. Almost... because we definitely ate them! They were warm, sweet, messy in the best possible way, and a fun introduction to our New Orleans food adventure. For my meal, I ordered the Italian Panini with the truffle Parmesan fries. The sandwich was packed with meat, cheese, and flavor. Looking at that cross-section, they definitely weren't being stingy with the fillings! My last review was in 2020, and I'm happy to report that the quality and atmosphere remain top notch. Whether you are looking for a morning pick up or an evening wind-down, this spot covers all the bases. Their beignets and coffee are a classic must have, and I can personally vouch for their Americano. It is consistently well made and delicious. They also have a great selection of beer and cocktails if you're looking for something a bit stronger. What really sets this place apart, though, is the hospitality. We have always had great interactions with the staff, but a special shout out goes to Jimmy, whom we met this past week. He was incredibly kind and hospitable, truly making us feel right at home.
