Perhaps the diviest dive bar in Brunswick. Yeah, diviest isn't a word. Probably hasn't been updated in decades and perhaps, that's part of the charm. Donna and her husband has owned this place since 1982. I used to come here for the WWE pay per views 14 years ago. Last night was my first stop back in at least that long. Didn't have any food, although my friend had the Jalapeño poppers and he said they were great. Pretty good food menu with pierogis! Had a few drinks and messed around with the TouchTunes. No complaints! There is a bathroom that is as "vintage" as the rest of the place and a few pool tables in the back. Whether or not I can recommend it depends on a lot of things. I went to the red onion this afternoon for lunch with my beautiful wife. We ordered a hamburger, onion rings, and the spaghetti special with two sodas. The bill in total without tip was $30. We were served on paper plates and the soda was very water down. The food was edible but nothing to write home about. In my opinion, I will not be returning for lunch, dinner or drinks. We could overhear the owners talking about Internet prices and setting up ring camera systems on smart phones. I couldn't help make the joke maybe we were overcharged to cover their Internet bills. Great hole-in-the-wall, dive bar! If you're pinkies up and looking for atmosphere, seek life elsewhere. Their food is good and their drink prices are just high enough to keep the riff-raff out. One of my favorite places. read more

Slightly horrifying. I think I've seen pictures of my parent's basement having the same chairs in the 70's. There was a 40 year old woman with short spiky blonde hair singing Karaoke. A beer is a beer though. I got the perogies, I think they were on special. They were actually really good. Beware though, the cottage cheese ones have cinnamon in them. Yuck. So if you want a truly local dive bar, this is the spot! I know the reviews are tough, but the wings are outstanding, the specials are all homemade and the karaoke is a lot of fun! Owners are very involved in the community and are some of the quietest, most generous donors in town. Try it out. read more

Don't come here!! Find another place it is not worth it!! The food is average and the service is below average. I came for wing night, sign says they are $.50 but they have criteria for you to get wings at special price and they don't tell you before you order. I bragged about this place to a buddy-great bar food amazing bison burgers, complimentary snacks and good beer selection. We went there a couple of Saturdays ago for lunch. The waitress appeared to be a customer who got up from her barstool and came to our table. I said "hi-can we get menus?" She replied in a surprised tone-"you want menus?" We ordered two beers and she returned with menus then brought our beers and returned to her perch at the bar with her friends. She came back about 5minutes later and we ordered some wings(I was very disappointed the bison burgers were not on the menu ). Also MIA were the complementary popcorn and peanuts for snacks. Our wings arrived fresh from a deep freeze with some hastily tossed hot sauce on them- no celery-no blue cheese-no flavor! After 3 wings went down the waitress yelled from the kitchen " you want more beer?" Thinking this was her system I yelled back" Yes please!" But she was yelling to her crowd at the bar. One of her friends heard me, got up from his bar stool and brought us our beers. The other customers here are polite. While still working on our second round the waitress/patron-returned with a bill, declaring she was having trouble with the register and yells"you gonna put a tip on this?" ( I gave her credit for moxie and being an over achiever!) I can only assume the bartender was called away in an emergency and left the place to be run by the customers. Love when they have the dueling pianos! The new internet sweepstakes is a bit too addicting as well. The food here is really good, and the live entertainment on the weekends is even better. If you are a younger crowd be prepared to feel uncomfortable. The bartender is crass and off putting. Bar closes at 2am the night I went. Asked for food menu at 5pm on Sunday while watching football... "You better hurry." Well she better learn some tact or that attitude won't bring any business in. Have never experienced this type of rude service. Wish there was a no star option. Not sure if Patty is the owner or what but she could use a lesson in hospitality if she wants people to return. It was as if she was intentionally trying to make us want to leave or feel uncomfortable and I'm not sure why...maybe be e were a new face to her? We had a couple beers and ordered meals. Interacted with the other locals just fine. She even went as far to say after we paid our bill, " bye, sorry I was mean to you" in a sarcastic tone and walked away. Unbelievable. Don't expect to walk into an e.4th bar here, but why would you? Its a blue collar joint with good people, cheap prices and tasty bar food. Ample space in the bar area, nice size outdoor patio. Completely unpretentious with a nice local bar feeling. read more

If I could give this place half a star or zero stars then I would. A few others commented on how disturbingly unfriendly and unsanitary this place is and I could not agree more! The ONLY reason that brought me into this twilight zone of a place was a coupon. The owner or lady who seemed to run the joint snatched it up and the "specials" menu and made sure to scare the living crap out of us. The water tasted like something scooped out of the dirty dish sink. Someone was smoking behind the bar. There was NO ONE in the place except for us. I don't know why we didn't run rather we asked to have our food to go and made up some excuse about getting an emergency call only to be told to go orders as NOT ALLOWED. Uh okay. Time to peace out and we did so. Hysterically, the lady said "was it something I said?". We took our business and appetite (what was left of it) over to the Grille in Brunswick (where we should have gone to in the first place but coupons make me happy) and we told the bartender about our terrifying experience.
