We've been coming to The Rellik for over 10 years now. One of the best venues for live music in an intimate atmosphere with bands Thurs-Sunday each week. Good food and full bar with many draft beer options to try. Cozy couches if you just want to chill with friends or family and also regular bar seating. Chad our bartender/server was great. We had lumpia which was perfect, wings are big and also perfect. And fries which are shoestring and huge portion. We ask for little or no salt, which they were happy to do. We went at lunch on a Thursday and it was very uncrowded which we also liked. The music playing was country which we loved. First time to the Rellik. Wife and I had decided to walk 1st street and we started at Rellik. Decor was nice, we arrived earlier in the evening so seating was not an issue. Ordered a couple of drinks and an appetizer. Service was good, waitstaff were on top of it. Cleanliness was an issue with the electronic menu that they handed to us. It was filthy, certainly needs to be wiped down prior to being passed around. The big hit on the rating was the 10" long hair that was served in my wifes drink. As she went to fish the muddled cherry out with her straw it was hanging by a hair. A human hair. A really long human hair that was not found until about 2/3 rds of her drink was consumed. Needless to say we decided to move on down the street. Staff was apologetic and removed the drink from the tab. Ruined the start of our night. read more

I love that they have so many non alcoholic choices as well, NOjito and Virginia Rodgers = Yum! OH YEAH! Sunday nights they have a free poker league and anyone can join the game. Its free to play and you just have to let them know you want to play and you will be given a stack of chips and can join the game! OH YEAH 2! My husband and I really enjoy The Rellik Tavern. We have not been in since the March '20 lockdown, but now that things are opening up again, we are very excited to rejoin our Rellick Tavern friends. He's a wine or beer guy, but I also enjoy a well-mixed cocktail on occasion. I won't order mixed drinks most places, because most places do not make them very good! Not so at Rellik! I have never had any but the finest cocktail experience here. Great bartenders, servers, and Debbie. Tasty appetizers and meals! Yes! The food here is very good. The Rellik is a great neighborhood place. They have lots of live music with a huge span of genres, it is different every time. I love the 4:30 shows so I can have some tasty kitchen treats for dinner. The sidewinder nachos are my fav, but their lumpia, pizza, French dip, etc are all yummy too. Lots of locals are at the early shows, a crowd that leans older, just my style! So it's a more mellow scene than the younger crowd at the 8:30 shows. Those are fun too, they just require more energy. The staff is amazing! So so attentive. Wesley greets us like old friends. We are checked on often and everything is quick. The servers can't be complimented enough, they are a true treasure. Even if we get there early and there's only one person, we are treated well. They are why The Rellik earns the 5 stars. read more

Stopped in here on a Saturday afternoon around 3 pm as a group of 5. I don't usually to go bars at 3 pm, but the Benicia locals we were rolling with suggested it's best to "beat the crowds". I'm thinking it might be just be in vogue to get day-hammered when you're in Benicia; works for me! ;-) The Rellik has a dark, sexy, lounge-y feel, with a decent number of places to sit: bar stools, high tables with chairs, couch areas, and the reservable VIP room in the back. There were a couple of folks at the bar when we came in, and we easily grabbed one of the couch areas. We were immediately greeted and offered iPad menus to check out. They've got a great selection of beers, wines, and house cocktails, as well as lunch specials with sandwiches running around $6-$8 - not bad! They also do Sunday brunch. Since we were there right at the cusp of 3 pm, we were able to get the Hail Mary, an $18 beast of a Bloody Mary that had a fried pickle, some chicken, I think a slider, and got knows what else sticking out of it. The food went in a flash; it was hard to take inventory. The Mary unfortunately had so much horseradish in it, it more closely resembled shrimp cocktail sauce -reeeaally hard to get that down. Their other cocktails are equally fun, but insanely delicious: Their take on a Root Beer Float - hard root beer + vanilla vodka + whipped cream - is my #1 reason for coming back to this bar. So, so good! They also have house-steeped habanero vodka they use for killer spicy martinis. The Lemon Drop is another solid choice; the gold-sugared rim was a nice touch. While the food is so-so and the Bloody Mary will put hair on your chest, the decor, cleanliness, coziness, friendly service, and awesome cocktails get two huge thumbs up from me. It was nice to find a local bar/lounge close to where I was staying. The Rellik Tavern is a great place to hangout and chill. Couches on the left hand side when you enter and bar stools available. The back of the bar has circular tables and chairs along with a private room that seems to fit at least 25 + people. Great place to people watch. My girlfriend and I were able to score a table and we ordered our drinks. My crown royal was actually very watery and not as strong. It probably it too much ice and coke. Next, crown royal on the rocks with a splash of coke please. :) There was a DJ playing music and at first I was like OMG what kind of mixing was that. It wasn't smooth transition at all however I will not hate on that. Seemed like a friend was just learning. The music started to get better throughout the night and my friend and I danced the night away on the SMALL dance floor in front of the DJ. Interesting crowd but very fun. When we were leaving and walked out, we noticed that there was a very long line for patrons to enter. Thank God we came earlier before the large crowd arrived. Spending our anniversary weekend in Benicia! We've been to Rellik once before and I absolutely love the Sweet Heat martini so we had to come back. We just did an app and drinks and they were 100% delicious! Their cheese board is so yummy! 3 cheeses with honey, grapes, apples and crackers. It paired so well with the sweet heat martini. So Debbie R. did contact me and sent a gift card for the amount of what I paid for on the meal that was messed up. Today I ordered the same thing, and didn't tell them I was the person who wrote the review a week before. Food was available at the time they said it would be. Containers were sealed so no spillage. Mac and Cheese were piping hot as the first time I ordered it. I am guessing that the last bad meal was just an off day for them complete with power outages and what not. I'm giving them 5 stars based on the Customer Service that went above and beyond. I believed I was racially profiled at this location. Not by the crowd ( they are great and fun) by staff. The most I've felt uncomfortable in my life. From being ignored at the bar, drinks that I've ordered for 2 other friends came out without riming, in a regular cup, watered down etc. we only recognized because a couple next to use ordered that same cocktail from the same bartender and it visually looked completely differently I was in disbelief. When I asked the bartender what the difference was between our drinks she said nothing but obviously it was a HUGE DIFFERENCE. Then the bartender replied " what ? Really cool spot! Came in for DJ night tonight, apparently they do it every Thursday which is great to know because my girls and I are looking for a local spot to dance. It was so fun, the dj played great music. The bartender Becca made me 3 different cocktails from the drink list and they tasted INCREDIBLE!! Cucumber sake martini, the flamingo and sweet heat, all 3 were well crafted. I also had the pork lumpia which was hot, crispy and flavorful. Sudana and Omar were very attentive and sweet - my water was filled all night without asking. The other barback was great too, I didn't get his name but he was so sweet and smiling all night. The service is fast and friendly, and the drinks are high quality! They also have an expansive liquor selection which was refreshing to see.
