Visiting a friend in Vallejo and just finished having lunch and wanted to explore her new neighborhood since she moved from Bay Point. We started googling and yelping and found this bar out of no where. Read the reviews and said let's go! It's nothing fancy on the outside and not in the best location either the freeway literally across the road. The establishment is right next door to a dilapidated building which used to be a pizza joint. The minute you walk into this bar you are hit with a very strong smell of cigarettes... coming from a former smoker I did not complain. It did take quite a while to get used to the smell... if I still smoked I would have enjoyed the covered back "patio" where everyone was smoking. Besides that, the bar was pretty open and it looked like there were a lot of locals just hanging out having a good time on a Saturday afternoon. The bartender was super nice and made our drinks very quickly. We ordered a round of drinks that were pretty basic and they came very strong, not complaining here. Had a pineapple and vodka in a tall glass and it was great. The margarita on the rocks was good as well. What I loved is the music they were playing! Definitely some early 2000's jams that I could sign along to and feel young again lol. Later in the evening they open their dance floor and they even have a stage for live music. The bar itself was pretty nice and clean... don't let the location fool you! Don't judge a book by its cover is what I have to say. They do charge a cover after midnight of $5 since it turns in to more of dancing club. Other photos show food but we didn't get a menu or anything so I'm assuming people just bring in their own food. If you are around this little hidden gem stop by and have a cocktail with some locals in the neighborhood !

No smoking inside. Full bar with pool tables inside. Space for a band or karaoke but closed off tonite. Tables and 2 of 3 working tvs in the back patio. 2 electronic dart games. Lots of random swarms of flies for some reason. Downfall is no food!!! I was ready to have some pizza or wings and fries while watching the game.

The band Dgroove, who might also go by the name of Night Owl.

I went to Gentleman Jims for my first time recently to see Dgroove band. I went alone and discovered a clean and well-attended nightclub. My drink was weak and small for what I paid, but that was okay as I had to drive myself home later. I felt the man at the door, Security, would have walked me to my car if I had asked. It was a dark and rainy night.

Okay, so I am guilty of judging a book by it's cover. I totally thought Gentleman Jim's was a seedy dive bar. It's located right off the freeway in a little bit of a sketchy spot. The good thing is they have their own small parking lot. So I did get the dive part right but I was totally wrong about the seedy. The inside of the bar is divey but don't let that deter you. A group of us went to Gentleman Jim's on Saturday night for a work thing. The atmosphere and crowd was great, a mix of ages and ethnicities. The live band was amazing and played everything from the Wobble to Prince songs. There was a lot of family-style seating available and the bathrooms were really clean. The bartender was simply AWESOME! She was a tall blonde lady who gave us the best recommendation ever...habanero vodka! We were shooting shots back to back of the stuff. Totally delicious with a nice kick of spice. I also had mai tais which were good. My drinks were $7 bucks each which is a really good price for the big glasses they serve. I don't think they serve food but there is a pizza place right next door. I had a great time here and will definitely be back!!!!

The onion rings were good too, although I wish they used the same batter as the fish. The food wasn't served quite as hot as I would have preferred, and they were pretty conservative with the condiments. That may be intentional given the location and the likelihood of non-customers helping themselves if everything was left on the tables. I asked whether the beets in the beet salad were freshly roasted or canned, and I was told they were fresh, so I ordered it. It was good, but something wasn't quite as fresh as I expected. It may have been the walnuts--I think they would have benefited from being toasted--or perhaps another ingredient. I'm very particular when it comes to beet salads. I also ordered the crab and artichoke melt, and this was the star of the meal. It was absolutely divine. Rich, buttery crab and melted cheese layered on thinly sliced, perfectly toasted ciabatta--it was pure comfort food. I was surprisingly full after just two bites, partly because the portions are generous and I'd already made a dent in the beet salad. I skipped drinks this visit, but I'll definitely be back to check out the rotating taps and wine selection. The staff were laid-back, incredibly friendly, and genuinely helpful. The setting is one of the restaurant's biggest draws. The outdoor patio offers a beautiful bird's-eye view of the ferries arriving at Mare Island, making it the perfect place to linger over a meal. Inside, there's a large, inviting bar where it's easy to strike up a conversation with another guest, or you can grab one of the window seats and simply enjoy the waterfront views. I'll definitely be back.

My favorite lunch order is the Chicken Caesar Wrap - perfect ratio of chicken, lettuce, cheese, dressing, and croutons. The wrap is always well constructed and never falls apart mid-consumption. When I moved away from Vallejo, I thought about this wrap often. For dinner, the wings are always a solid choice - korean bbq, bbq, buffalo - all equally good. The wings are a good size, an even mix of drums and flats, the chicken is always moist and the sauce ratio is perfect. Best wings in Solano County. The M.I.B.C. Burger is another favorite, always cooked as requested, the meat is super flavorful and the toppings - cheese, onion, sauce, and arugula fit perfectly between the brioche bun. This is also served with fries - always served the right amount of crisp. For beers, I prefer to drink the War Bond. However, I can vouch for the fact that all of the beer here is good. Also, all of the staff here are super friendly and helpful. Best neighborhood bartenders, best views of the sunset. We are lucky to have this spot in Vallejo.

This was his first "real" bowling experience outside of using small, kiddie bowling sets or paper cups. They had 3 (out of 5 or 6?) working lanes and we go there right at opening so we could pick our lane. We made a reservation on Tock and when we arrived they said they were still "setting up". Not sure what that meant, but we waited about 15 minutes while 4-5 people stood behind the bar. They finally let us downstairs to the alleys where we were able to get our bowling shoes and put in a food order. The food selection was not bad, but after leaving, I realized I ordered two kid menu items which come with a drink, entree, and ice cream...but they gave us the entrees and not the drinks or ice cream. When the orders came out, they had also forgotten on of the entrees as well. Good thing I noticed the missing burger, but wompwomp on missing the additional kid meal items. Make sure you check your orders!! The spicy chicken sandwich and the buffalo wings were super slathered in sauce and very salty. The kids burger was burnt and my toddler didn't touch it. The fries and quesadilla were really good though! The kids had a fun time with the bowling experience - they had kid friendly items like a ramp for the ball and bumpers..plus some 7 lbs balls that my 3-year old was able to manage lol.
