This review is for when this company was managing The Jagger in LA. They have since been fired by the owners effective May 1, 2025. You will get squeezed out of your security deposit by the REMM Group. You can leave the apartment in immaculate condition and they will still charge you 76% of your deposit for "paint". Yes, they will charge you "to paint" the entire walls, even ceilings, and doors all one finish and color, jail cell white even if it does not warrant it. They will also send a fake invoice to try and say it was the work done. In reality the unit was never repainted because the invoice they sent was for last year while the unit was occupied. Wow! Caught red-handed. Don't worry the video evidence you have and a personal walkthrough with the maintenance guy himself will not matter at final closing. Kiss your $600.00 deposit goodbye. They have a bunch of employee turnover and infighting. Good luck on getting consistent customer service. They are too busy posing on cybertrucks for their IG pics in the garage gaslighting potential tenants and become late for their showings. The South Olive complex has many issues and yet they continue to raise the rent. They've also changed several property managers in the past two years. 1- ROACHES coming from unhygienic tenants' units 2- LOUD CONSTRUCTION all the time disrupting virtual work meetings and work from home time. 3- FREQUENT WATER SHUTOFF. The complex frequently has weekly last minute water shut off issues and maintenance issues. 4- Tenants are unhygienic. There is dog and cat fecal matter all over the courtyard area. Tenants actively smoke weed and other substances making the courtyard area smelly. 5- There have been many POLICEMAN/COPS called to our complex and and even the surrounding neighborhoods recently. During the year and a half that they took over management my quality of life, and subsequently my health, severely declined. Do not rent from them. While my landlord Priscilla is great. The company is terrible. They cut down our tree that we enjoyed having in our back patio. Always wait till it's the middle of summer to do any tree trimming. Removing any shade that helped keep the buildings cool. Every year they raise the rent at the maximum. Even to long time tenants. And I'm sure they'll respond with some copy pasted response about how they're trying to keep up with the current property prices. No, you're one of the problems on why rent is so high in California. They currently tore apart our patio, and left no supports against the back windows hanging by the a thread. Allowing pests and other things to come in. Along with putting us in possible danger with the increase of crime problems we've had lately. The workers will do half assed jobs at times, unless you get on them about it. Had one guy replace the garbage disposal and made no effort to clean up the plumbers putty. It took two different workers to diagnose that our dishwasher was broken. One left an open hole under our bathroom sink that he promised to patch up, but left it there for months. After this last rent increase, we're looking into leave soon. I am done with them. read more

Then, just like clockwork, decided to rebuild the complex after some foundation problems arose resulting in giving all tenants a 60 day notice to vacate right before Christmas. The CEO of this company should be ashamed of herself. You knew what you were getting yourself into when you bought this place. A simple building inspection could confirm the shape this place was in. Don't even get me started on the heartless letters that went out informing people they would be homeless because you are eager to rebuild so you can turn around and charge people 5x what they are paying now. Probably replacing with some high density garbage that will be half empty because nobody can afford it. Let alone bringing even MORE people to Huntington Beach. We've been PAYING FULL PRICE to live in The Roy. During all of COVID-19 shutdown, the Remm Group has made no goodwill statement or action resulting in them having some skin in the game. All on-site amenities have been closed for months and they haven't reduced rent, offered us gift cards, or any other gesture that shows they care and are taking action to help us. Legally do they have to do anything, no, I don't believe so. Would it be the right/kind thing to offer your tenants something that are paying FULL PRICE? Yes, I think so. However! I will say, onsite manager at The Roy in Culver city, Quasandra has been a very kind person trying to be a listening ear even though she has no power over things like prices and amenities. 5 stars to Quasandra! read more

Negative 5 stars. This company just bought out Tres Vidas Apartments in westminster. The property does not care about its residents safety. About once a week there is grand theft occurring from the residents personal vehicles. Vandalism, theft and extreme vehicle damages costing its residents, in my case over $3,000. Then the security company they employ don't do anything while we all get robbed and vandalized. Then they tow the rental cars we get as temporary replacements for our own property. When you talk to leasing about the safety and putting up cameras and for reimbursement for the towed cars they like to tow, They just smile and say "im sorry to hear that but there's nothing we can do". So how about this. I take tres vidas apartments to small claims court as well as its office staff on an individual basis. And then I come after "The Remm Group" sounds pretty fair to me. I will never be renting again from this non-caring company. In addition I will be reaching out to whoever I have to on the state level. I'm sure the property has a lot of headaches that will result in heavy fines and penalties for safety and bad practices once local and state officals come for an inspection. So if your even interested in this company, whether it be leasing a property, or a business partnership, investing or whatever, BEWARE, COMPANIES DONT SURVIVE IF THEY DONT CARE ABOUT THIER CLIENTS, CUSTOMERS, OR RENTERS. I was living here (North Long Beach) before Remm took over in 2020. I sold my 60+ year family home to downsize to an Apartment. The previous management was nice and they were best at getting things fixed around the property. The Jaccuzi has been out for nearly a YEAR with no end in sight. Now people are just wading in warm water, like they are taking a bath! Unfortunate for the new neighbors who still don't know what life was like with a functioning Jaccuzi! Roaches have taken up residence but nicely, they have offered to assist with extermination. TODAY, we just got notice that they are going to CHARGE us for our Assigned Parking Spaces! WTF is that! There will be a 1 time fee for the parking space I've been in for 4 years! I have the feeling that they want the legacy tenants to move by making it slightly more uncomfortable to live here. It's noisier now, A bit dirtier in stairwells and the parking garage, Jacuzzi is still down, and the place is now flush with DOGS! Dogs who howl throughout the day. (Mind you...this was a cat property where the tenants cats could roam free). Remm had no problem telling us to "keep your quiet cats indoors" but they have done NOTHING about the loud howling DOGS! I mean there are tenants that have dogs indoors that howl and cry all day long from separation anxiety. Why is no one doing a welfare check, or contacting the tenant to address the issue? This is annoying because many of us work from home now due to Covid Lock Downs. The Staff are very nice but I have a feeling there is not a lot of concern about our comfort. I wish someone would do something about the loud dogs. Overall, I love this place and I'm hoping Remm will do better here. I lived at the Madison Newport apartments and had nothiNg but problems there ! -10,000 of damage from my garage being flooded ! They wouldn't fix it because they said it wasn't a priority! Well I'm sorry ! 10,000 of damage that I have an insurance blame on? Well they need you to fix it so I can get the claim going, and I'm sorry this isn't a priority for you but I just can't let you ruin anymore of my possessions anymore ! - manager gets fired , I go to turn in my keys, garage, gate remotes and parking stickers . They said we don't charge for these , I'm sorry what!? I paid for these and now your not going to reimburse me because the person who use to be the manager got fired and yiu will not honer this ? - parcel pending , I was unable to retrieve a package for 3 days that I had overnighted to my place . Unfortunately this is the third time I was unable to retrieve my package because the parcel pending was off line for three days and the management who should have keys ( that's what the parcel pending company said ) didn't have any so unfortunately I'm out of luck ! - no pool for 13 months ! I lived there for 12 months . Then my rent goes up 300$ if I want to stay and wait till the pool gets finished ! Wow ! No break because of my inconveniences ! - cops, crime scene , drug raids , fights , etc ! I was unable to go to my house 3 times last month because of all the illegal activity going on near my apt ! Upwards of 10 cop cars surrounding the apt a few places over because of all the drug raids and stings happening . - written 30 day notice to vacate the premise wasn't acceptable enough . I have to wait untill I do a property walk through and fill out a form that I need to submit if I want out . ( I'm not in a lease I'm just month to month ) I'm sorry I was hoping I could start the 30 day notice to vacate and meanwhile we would do the walkthrough etc while I'm in my last 30 days! - manager gets fired now the entire group that manages is new ? Well what happened with the girl who got fired who managed the place ? Was she the one who had all the drug bust and cops present ? I'm in a loss of words , no help from my management at Madison Newport , no help from the REMM Group . I have been with Remm for almost 3 years, residing in Spring Tree. The first year or so was great, the manager Ken took very good care of the property and his residents. When Ken left, the shenanigans began, we're now on our third manager and the complex has gone downhill. The parking sucks, we have permit parking and should only have one covered parking and one in designated marked areas. We have residents that rotate 3-4 cars so other residents are forced to park on the streets and have people who drag race in the main street hit and run. We were without hot water for nearly a week and no one said anything. I left a message and no response, eventually the water heater was replaced. For $2300, I should never be without hot water for a week. My car was broken into a week ago, although nothing was taken, I still reported it to the office and asked if they could review the cameras. This is my second time having my car broken into. The cameras were ran back when Ken was the manager, this manager never followed up. I had to call her this morning and ask, " why haven't I heard from you"? The answer was ridiculous and this why I'm sounding off in this review. The manager asked me for a device to record it on, I'm confused. I have emailed REMM and left messages, no one has returned a call or email. At this point I'm not satisfied living in this property and really want out of my lease. I pay my rent on time every month and expect to be heard and answered when a problem occurs. We have a security company that comes every now and then, but trust they do nothing but ride around in a circle. The only that's been up to par is the maintenance guy and the people that cut the grass and trees. Maybe this review will get someone to return a call or email, or just simply have some customer service. We get new managers that don't introduce themselves, it's hard to keep up.
