As many in Long Beach are disappointed by their property management companies, I just want to give kudos to Terra Bella. I have found them to be responsive to my maintenance requests and proactive. With the recent rains, I've seen many videos of flooding of other apartments' underground parking structures. They took $1600 cash for my deposit. When I moved out they asked for my new address so that they can send me my deposit back. Instead they made up a bull shit bill claiming it was for damages and cleaning. I spent 2 hours cleaning that appointment before leaving it. I talked to some of my neighbors that had moved out of there and they told me the same thing they did not receive their deposit back either. Bella Terra property management is totally shady you will not get your deposit back. some of the neighbors are meth heads and management doesn't care. I got electrocuted in my shower from touching the faucet one morning it took them 3 weeks to get around to doing something about it. I was in a transition period and rented a space (2 bedroom) through this company for a brief period. My application process handled professionally and was granted a few of extra days prior to move in. All transactions, whether it was with any repairs, or other concerns were responded to quickly. When it was time to depart (new home) the exit process was just as smooth. Throughout my time of residency there were no hiccups in record keeping or requests by either side. This is absolutely the most hellish property management company my roommates and I had ever dealt with, and our tenancy ended by us taking Tony, the owner, to court. The ladies in the office rarely answer the phone. When you have serious and immediate issues that need to be addressed, they often tell you to call another handyman who also doesn't answer often, and speaks very broken English if he does. Tony the owner is extremely rude and hates to be bothered with any maintenance issues or complaints and he gets aggressive easily, even towards young girls. It took us nearly a month in the dead of winter for them to take any action when we had no working heat. Tony tried to take our entire security deposit based on damage that was already done to the unit when we moved in. We had photographic proof and no walkthrough was ever performed, but he's perfectly comfortable performing outside of the law and reason. They keep creating new public business profiles on Google because their reviews are so terrible. Please do your research! The cheap rent they offer IS NOT worth the nightmares you will deal with regularly with their management. read more

Horrid! They took over my property and fix nothing! There's mold and termites and I've told them so many times! Even the repair man that works for them says this place should be condemned but they can't afford to get rid of the termites or mold. They've lost my rent check before and cost me the expense of placing a stop payment. Really unprofessional on several levels. Mold makes people sick and termites will eat this building alive you would think they would want to fix that but no. People keep moving out for these reasons and nothing is fixed. Lastly the court yard is a dump someone used to clean weekly and spray everything down and take out the trash now the trash sits and the place is full or dirt and spider webs. I feel bad for the owner he invested in the wrong company to mange this invested mold dump. read more

I've been renting from Monisha for about a year now and when I told her I was thinking about moving to a bigger apartment to live some friends she told me that she wanted to help me find an apartment. She told me I've been an excellent tenant and that should wouldn't want to lose me and would even try and give me a deal for rent. She even told me to look elsewhere and if I find an apartment I like to go for it so she's not just trying to keep me as a tenant to collect rent money. It is so great that the company that owns the apartment complex waived the tenants rent. However it was not Terra Bella that should get the praise or credit. The two people that run that management company are terrible people and landlords!! They own properties in the area and ask way too much rent and never keep the properties up. If you call them to fix something they will ignore your request for weeks. They are true crooks,liars and backstabbers. They work for the company that owns the building and did what they were told. This is the worst management company I have ever had to deal with. I lived in one of their properties in Long Beach for about 6 years. Not 1 time they responded to any request for maintenance, never clean their buildings, and the quality of their repaies is very bad. Extremely unprofessional staff starting from receptionists who answer the phone and up. Maintenance people are really poor guys as they are asked to make something out of nothing. Although this company manages couple of good locations, but it is not really worth it to deal with them...Really bad business. read more

I'm not truly sure whose fault it was (the owner or the company), but I do know that whenever I had to deal with Management Company, Terra Bella, it was painful at best. Very inconsiderate, not well trained in customer service, full of excuses and lies whenever I asked about an update on a hole in the ceiling, or my power going out thus ruining all my food while I was at work. The external company was courteous, but this branch in long Beach was beyond terrible. And to top it off, they charged me 100 dollars to clean the ceiling fan? By that point, I was so tired of their lies and half assed management that I took the BS amounts of my deposit return and ran. If you see this name in front of a building, run. We've lived in this house for about years now. This year the landlady decided to turn her properties over to Terra Bella to manage. At first they came by a couple of times just to see the property and the condition it's in. Right out the gate, my rights as a tenant went out the window. Not one phone call that they were gonna be stopping by. Wherever I live, I treat my home as if I own it. So when something needed to be fixed, it promptly got fixed. Now when something needs fixing, it takes weeks just to get someone out here to look at it. They don't fix it, just look. Man, wish I had that job and got paid to look. It took them 2 1/2 weeks to change a switch on the flash gas heater. During that time, our water bill went up and that was just to get hot water. When it started getting real hot this summer, we checked the attic fan and found it wasn't working. We had installed this fan to cool down the house on hot days. It keeps the house about 5-10 degrees cooler then without it. But this year it wouldn't work, so we called. And called and called and called. Finally the tech called us directly. He asked us this question and that question, and in the end of questions, it was Terra Bella Management who failed to communicate with us and the tech. When the tech finally showed up like ten days later, he didn't know how to fix the fan. He had no ladder, so we provided him one. Even gave the guy a bottle of water as it was extremely hot that day. He excused himself saying he had to get tools from his car, not a truck. Of course not, he didn't have anything big enough for even a ladder. After some time, he came back in and said that he would have to get on the roof to remove the fan, take it for the weekend and fix it. The weekend had come and gone, so Monday I sat here all day waiting for this guy to return with a fixed fan. Due to the miscommunication from the get go, when he did call me, I then had his number. So I called him directly. He asked if anyone from the management company had called. I told him no. They were suppose to call and tell us that he had an emergency call he had to finish up. I only found this out after calling the tech. So we made arrangements with the tech as to when he'd be back out, which was the next day. At that time, I had told him that the flash gas heater still wasn't working properly. I then asked if I had to call the office again. He said no that he would look at before leaving. I simply told him it needed a new ignitor. To this day, it still not working. I had sent a text message to one of the executive officers last week with two issues we're having, and still haven't heard one word from this so-called management. So I'm writing this before I contact the landlady and offer to manage her properties for her, probably for a fraction of the cost she pays these people. Can't believe they would take this woman's money and not do the repairs as they've been called in. read more
