We were driving by deciding where to stop. This place looked pretty good from the outside and had top ratings. Ventilation needs improvement. It was kind of smoky. We sat towards the back but it got too cold. We were greeted with a smile and felt welcome. I think our cook was wearing pajamas, but who cares as long as the food is good. Let me tell you. My food was delicious. I had The Veggie Stir Fry. I have traveled in many parts of Asia. This , this is always what I'm looking for. Tangy, sweet, spicy. It was delicious. My friends ordered a Bavarian Pretzel for us to share. That too was crunchy on the outside , soft in the inside . The cheesy sauce was tasty, not too cheesy. I couldn't decide what to drink. My server said " I make a pretty good margarita"Sold ! He was right. The music was great, the art was cool, and don't forget to draw something on the chalkboard in the bathroom. Don't let the exterior fool you. This place is delicious I'm writing this as I sit here! I would post a picture of the AMAZING homemade potato chip crusted chicken strips but I ate them too fast. Cocktails are so delicious and more than just your generic "drinks" but 3 varieties of Manhattan. I had the lavender lemon drop (light sweetness) and then had 2 more. My companion (vegetarian) had the cauliflower "steak" and it came with 2 sides AND A SALAD. Unassumingly gourmet. Have we discussed the play list? SO GOOD! RATM, Old Dirty Bastard and the best of the 90's! Dessert? Chocolate Brownie Sundae. Need I say more. If you are in Cave Junction Oregon, make the stop. Food was soooo good! Service was amazing, too! So attentive and kind. The atmosphere was a bit weird because the entire place is a haze of smoke from the cooking oil they use. We smelled like coconut oil when we left. But, the food was really good and we'd go back, but we'd eat outside. read more

Super surprising, unassuming little place on the main Hwy in Cave Junction. Don't blink you might miss it, but if you find it, you are in for a treat. We just were looking for burgers and this place popped up, so we popped in. Anyway, the burgers were huge. I had the KC smash. It looked unconquerable, but I managed. Onion fries, bbq sauce, and delicious bacon made it one of my favorite burgers in a long time. It's huge, and comes with a ton of fries, so good luck finishing. My wife got the more reasonable, but still large Clown burger, it was also first rate. But they have so much more, fried chicken, sandwiches, etc. The chef came over to talk to us, and it was obvious he takes pride in his food, and it is served by the friendliest staff around. This is the best restaurant my husband and I may have EVER been to!! It's our go-to every time we don't want to cook. You have to try EVERYTHING on the menu. But I always get the chicken tender meal, cauliflower ribeye meal, and the naked wings. You will be hard-pressed to find better fried chicken this side of the Mississippi!!!! Delicious! They know what to do with food, and they do it. I'm a very picky food person as I'm an excellent cook, so for me to say this was delicious, is a big deal. I had the chicken tenders, with the mac and cheese and green bean casserole for sides. It was all delicious! No canned mushroom soup slop here-they make real green bean casserole from scratch like I make at home. The mac and cheese had 4 different cheeses and was also delicious. The tenders had a potato chip breading that was the best breading I've ever had on chicken. My husband also had the tenders and totally enjoyed them, but, sadly, he didn't love the salad dressing he had on his side salad. Overall, we will most definitely eat here if we're in the area again. Our only complaint is the acoustics of a small restaurant made for a very noisy inside, and eating outside next to the road wasn't for me, so that was a bit of a struggle. But, the food was more than worth it, and I highly recommend you try this restaurant. read more

Great place to stop by for a bite to eat on our way to Oregon. Everything we got off the menu was exquisite -- it really is what they claim: "where the west meets the south to create a delicious taste in your mouth." Don't quote me on that. The veggie burger was great, especially with some Louisiana hot sauce, we also got some wings for appetizer and the kids size mac and cheese (both of which were also delicious, especially with the General Tso's sauce). The grilled cheese was as good as they come. The staff was very friendly and attentive, they made us feel at home. The bathroom was also pretty cool, there's chalk to write messages for the next guest. Would highly recommend and come back again. Oh, and I think they were formerly The Funky Kitchen. read more
