Fresh baked sourdough and ale bread
    Stephanie B.

We LOVED the food here so much that we've considered making the trip (several hours) just to eat here ever since. Needless to say, our meal was so delicious and filling - easily the best seafood we've eaten in the area, and some of the best food we've eaten in Southern Oregon. The clam chowder, steamer clams, crab and artichoke alfredo, and seafood mama (crab, shrimp, scallops, parmesan cream sauce over fettuccine) were incredible. The wait staff was friendly and helped us out with our menu selections. It turns out that you can get both the fresh baked sourdough and ale bread with your meal, and each compliment the food wonderfully. The restaurant itself had a wonderful, lively pub feel to it. As aforementioned, we loved The Laughing Clam and will return at our first opportunity.

We came across this place while walking around the historic area of Grant's Pass. The place had a warm pub vibe with a nice wooden bar, and a fireplace in the back. It was a hot day, so we decided to have our lunch while sitting inside as opposed to out front. Our server was very pleasant. He seemed to anticipate when we needed refills and asked us before we asked him. I had a blue cheeseburger, and my partner had a bowl of clam chowder and fish and chips. Everything was very good.

This is the half order of the fish and chips. It was super yummy!

Great fish and chips. Easy to get to, and then walk the quaint downtown area of Grants Pass

We've been to the Clam a few times for drinks but we finally got to enjoy quiet a selection of the menu. We absolutely had a little bit of everything from soups, salads, appetizers and entrees. It was all well made and delicious. Only got pictures of a few items we had. The seasonal fried asparagus is delicious. The onion rings beer battered and perfect. I didn't sample the clam chowder or calamari but it was all wolfed down so I'm assuming it was good. The club was hugely stacked. The pesto burger was well cooked and a delicious pesto sauce hidden under the cheese. The cosmic cajun is seriously NO JOKE SPICY. Couldn't eat but half but it was tasty. The crab/lobster cakes were probably my favorite thing, absolutely delectable and cooked perfectly. Didn't need the sauce provided but it did give a nice change of flavors. Will say that their chicken wings needed more time in the fryer to crisp up the skin more. The Buffalo sauce was tasty.

Stopped in recently while in town, the place was packed and since I was solo I was able to grab a seat at the bar, which was a great call. A long shotgun interior, there wasn't and empty table and folks were waiting. My bartenders servers were all kind and professional and in spite of the business and crowd made sure I wasn't forgotten. Which sometimes sitting at the bar happens. Starters was the stuffed mushrooms with lobster and shrimp. This is a great appetizer and could be a stand alone meal, as well easily shared with others. After giving the menu a good peruse, the Seafood combo with shrimp and calamari was my choice, it proved to be a good one as well. Plenty of golden brown shrimp and a nice portion of lightly fried calamari, showing the skill of the kitchen. Dipping sauces and fresh slaw with fries. A nice basket of seafood. Well prepared, flavorful and nicely seasoned. 4 Stars A solid choice for a good meal, worth a visit and wait if you have to. I will return when in town next. 00942

Highly recommend the clam chowder and/or crab cakes! We also got the fish and chips which was alright. Overall great experience and food.

The Laughing Clam is a great place. They had only two things that really sound good. The place has a great brick wall and an old wooden carved bar. The menu is pretty good. The clam chowder and steamed clam appetizer and their sourdough bread. Both of the meals were outstanding but even the steamed clam appetizer should come with toasted bread because it would be a crime to not have bread to go with the broth. This should be added! I definitely recommend and would come back just for those two meals. Parking is a problem...it is on the street or in the lot across the street. Maybe locals have a secret spot.

Totally enjoyed our meal here. Sat outside, had a huckleberry cider, shrimp po boy , fish and chips and the ale bread. Everything was tasty, with good sized portions. The ale bread was particularly good, unexpectedly but not over sweet. The service was very nice and friendly, the food came out very quickly. A great stop on our way through town.

We came for lunch after a doctor appointment and expected an average pub food experience . How delightful to enjoy the freshest halibut fish and chips and a blue bird chicken sandwich. Cup of chowder was yummy, and sweet potato fries hot and crisp. Great service by Chase

Excellent Clam Chowder... next time a bowl!

Food really good! Service needs work. Food takes awhile, but not too long. Very clean, if you're in a rush, you might want to pass.

What restaurants with river view are located in grants pass?

Taprock NW and River's Edge. Personally I have not felt either one's food was worth the price. Taprock does have a decent happy hour.

What an amazing experience at DASSH Bakery in Grants Pass!…read more From the moment we walked in, we felt welcomed by the owners, a husband-and-wife team who clearly pour their hearts into this bakery. Everything is made fresh, and you can absolutely taste the difference. We ordered the Local Bagel, and it was phenomenal. It had bacon, aioli, and a variety of fresh ingredients that came together perfectly. I honestly can't remember everything that was on it because I was too busy enjoying it! The bagel itself was fresh-made and absolutely delicious. We also tried the ham bagel sandwich with cheddar, ham, and honey mustard, and it was just as fantastic. Every ingredient tasted fresh and high quality. For a sweet treat, we had the blueberry scone, and it was perfection--flavorful, tender, and clearly made from scratch. Their coffee menu is impressive as well. They can make just about any latte you want and offer a great selection of syrups, including cookie butter, vanilla, lavender, and many more. They also have plenty of milk options, including oat milk, almond milk, whole milk, and regular milk. The bakery itself was exceptionally clean, well-maintained, and very inviting. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, with outdoor seating available, including two two-top tables and a larger six-top table, making it a great place to relax and enjoy your food and coffee. The service was impeccable. Since the bakery is run by the owners themselves, things may take a little longer during busy times, but that wasn't an issue at all for us. The care, attention, and quality they put into every order are well worth the wait. If you're in Grants Pass, DASSH Bakery is an absolute must-visit. Fresh-made food, outstanding coffee, a clean and comfortable atmosphere, and wonderful owners who truly care about their customers. Easily a five-star experience, and we'll definitely be back! I ordered an egg sandwich of some sort, and it was one of the best sandwiches I've ever eaten. The bread that they make at this bakery, IS TO DIE FOR. It was salty, crunch, and so tasty. I'll be sure to stop again anytime I drive through Grants Pass. This is a little spot you don't want to pass up.

It took 30 minutes to reach our table. We were encouraged and excited to try the food and then we were weirdly disappointed. No flavor. I understand farm to table, but zero flavor. Hot sauce was offered. I accepted. Helped out. My husband's Ruben wasn't what he was expecting. The meat was dry and had no flavor. Strange, because usually a Ruben sandwich has a lot of roasted flavor. He said it tasted like dry roast beef. Had a lot of picture quality, but not much else.

Being harassed for leaving honest reviews about experiences shouldn't be happening on this platform. It doesn't help at all. There's plenty of reviews stating similar nuances. It can be improved. Honorable mentions The bloody Mary with the dill salt and white chocolate blondie WERE AMAZING. Staff were so friendly too!! But....BUT. We waited almost 40 min for food after ordering :/ we both had breakfast burritos that were just very average tasting. They did comp my Bloody Mary and the desert but man oh man that wait for the food was crazy and it wasn't a packed house either. In total after we left we had spent three hours there: waiting for table, waiting for food, eating it and finishing. We intended for a lot less time there. This was a Saturday. Maybe there's a problem going on in the kitchen or not having a food runner. Not sure ! Mediocre food for an absurd long. Unfortunately I will be back for that dill slat rim Bloody Mary. But not worth the wait for the food.
