    Chips and Salsa

Three of us sat at the bar and had great service - Sisum is friendly, knowledgeable and efficient. Trompo Tacos on corn shells are AWESOME! We enjoyed a tower of those along with chips & salsa while sipping on skinny margaritas. Terrific Saturday evening. Ambiance is extra great when weather is nice and side wall is open. Check this place out if in the area. Only reason they didn't get 5 stars is parking can be hard to find and prices are a bit on the high side.

This place is pretty middle of the road. The service was a tad inconsistent but nice nonetheless. The chips were stale but the salsa was very tasty. The queso had nice flavor but the roux was grainy. My tacos weren't bad but I could easily make them at home. This is food your 9 year old would like. It's not bad but just plain. The margarita was very good though and the space is nice.

Happy hour house margaritas. They charge an extra $2 if you ask for spicy.

Great patio and bar but not a good menu. The chips and salsa were terrible and the salsa is warm for those of you who don't like warm salsa. They have a good happy hour but the drinks were weak. This place is way overpriced and has the most expensive guacamole and queso I have ever seen. Guacamole $18, queso $17 and an extra $4 if you want to add meat to the queso.

My favorite brunch spot around. I love their Spanish cinnamon coffee and trendy decor. Most of all I love that they are next to a courtyard that allows me to enjoy my food and drinks while keeping an eye on my kid as he's running around. They always have great service and good food except for their quesadillas! Yuck. I don't know how anyone can mess up the simplest food but soggy shells are a no no. Why don't they have kids pancake on the menu?? $16 is steep for a little one. I should've asked for just one pancake. They didn't have the Hawaiian flower on the food this time though. :( So therefore a star was taken out. :/. I enjoyed the doggie next table and atmosphere so much that this is still my favorite brunch spot. :)

My brother's Trompo tower! A showstopper for sure!

The vibes were immaculate. As soon as we walked in,there's a little sitting area and they had a light ring to take pictures! It was a large restaurant with inside and outside sitting and a dog friendly patio! Unfortunately, the service was slower than we wanted and the table was stacked up with plates for a while when we were waiting for the check. The music was entirely too loud and we could barely hear each other at the table. I even asked one of the wait staff to turn it down, but that couldn't be done for some reason. We came in just after 1pm and the dining room was spare-- it was not club party music time yet....And then we could barely hear the wait staff over the music, which is why I say,"it couldn't be turned down for some reason" I simply couldn't hear their answer. We asked twice to the hostess and the wait staff in a sporty looking suit coat...... My octopus was delicious. Perfectly seasoned and tender-- not chewy at all. I was expecting maybe a full octopus or maybe even a half like they do at a Mariscos, but the to tentacles were it. I guess it worked out in the long run because I wasn't over full. My brother's Trompo tower was literally a showstopper. The presentation is amazing and it comes with all of the fixin's. We all loved it and shared it! My Mom seemed to love her Arrachera, she said that it was cooked the perfectly. boyfriend's food was cold. He said he wanted to tell the waiter to pop his plate into the microwave-- if there was a waiter to be found. My boyfriend has never had this type of chili relleno before so he didn't know if it was supposed to be served cold due to the sweet sauce on top or what? He said that it was also lacking the chicken that came stuffed inside. He said it was mostly vegetables.

This Tex-Mex restaurant hands down has the best salsa. Amazing bar (gorgeous backlight onyx), indoor outdoor patio style, fun atmosphere (they play happy birthday through the main speaker for celebration requests), food is wonderful, service always top-notch, and HAPPY HOUR IS 3pm-close! ... recommend

We were on a group getaway and found this cute spot for mimosas and tacos. We were greeted with smiles and were sat pretty quickly. We had a group of 6 adults and fit right in. The service was good and got our orders pretty quick. The taco tower was really good I would say that the chicken was a bit dry but all other meat option were amazing, flautas were so good, and mimosas hit the spot!

We love this place! The food is great as are the drinks! I had the Reserve special with fajita chicken and steak and barbacoa. All three were amazing as were the rice and beans. The barbacoa was my favorite. My husband had the parrillada single with fajita chicken, he said it was wonderful. We shared chips and queso, they mix the queso in a hot skillet at the table. We sat at the outside bar, they have a great patio. Marcos was our bartender and he was amazing. Actually the best service we have ever received here! Thank you for a beautiful dining experience!

The restaurant is large with a nice bar area and the service was very friendly and efficient! Mains: Himalayan Thukpa, Palak Paneer, Malai Kofta - the Thukpa was the highlight! The broth was perfectly salty with a great umami taste. The Malai Kofta was rich and I enjoyed the cheesy koftas. The Gurkhas Old Fashioned was smooth with a twist, and the hot rum punch felt like warmth in a glass just right for winter. The place itself was cozy, with a vibe that made me want to linger. Both the Tavern and Tycoon are in Flower Mound, and I have not visited, but I have made stops at both Jane and now Volstead. And I have to say, I wanted to be impressed, and I just wasn't. When I went to Jane, the cocktails were not up to snuff. My visit to Volstead, the cocktail was fantastic but the ambiance and food disappointed. I came into Volstead to check out the happy hour. They have a discount on wine, and half off their signature cocktails and martinis. They make craft cocktails, which were impressive, but only have one bartender. It takes time, but they could use another. I ordered a Volstead Vesper. It is a bold martini. Josh made it well. It was well balanced. Boozy yet balanced. And I love a lemon curl. A garnish can really elevate a cocktail. Five stars for the drink. I will come back and order another one. I also ordered their spicy tuna crispy rice. It was rather a disappointment. The serving size was generous, the crunch on the rice was there, and then it fell short. The texture of the rice was on the mushier side. The tuna was NOT spicy. It had been dressed in something, but it brought absolutely NO flavor or anything to the tuna. There was a wasabi cream and a sauce (maybe eel sauce) that dressed the plate, but the tuna was bland. A little soy, citrus, yuzu, sriracha or SOMETHING to elevate and brighten the tuna would have been EVERYTHING. So it just ended up being bland tuna, on undressed avocado, on fried mushy rice with some tasty sauces. It absolutely was not spicy. And with a little something something it could have been rather tasty. Even with mushy rice. When I walked in and sat down, there was no music playing so you were just hearing conversations bouncing off the walls. After about a half hour someone decided they needed some tunes, but then it was too loud and it was hard to hear the bar tenders. I loved the decor, and again, my cocktail was really rather good. The overall feel just felt kind of sloppy. It could have been awesome, and fell short. They claim to have Southlakes best burger, and maybe that is a better choice than the tuna. I may give it a shot. It got rather popular as I was leaving, the crowd a bit more mature. And maybe that is their bag. They have great reviews and high stars, I just didn't feel it.

I mentioned to our server Cameron, who was so polite and professional by the way, that it might be fun to host a monthly Sushi 101, where people could make reservations and for a flat rate the attendees could learn the difference between sashimi, sushi and all the other preparations for the cuisine. People could taste and sample each type and learn a little bit, giving them confidence to put Hush in their local food rotation. I really enjoyed my experience, and will do some research on the different options so I can try some new foods, I have no doubt I can ask my server, but that would have made me uncomfortable making the rest of my party wait while I learn, this was a spur of the moment invite so I didn't have time to do research, totally my problem.
