Our mom was in a larger facility where she was not getting the personal attention she was needing. We felt that mom would be happier in a home-like setting where she saw the same people all the time. At Sweet Home Care, our mom received so much love and care. The Administrator, Nicoleta, was in constant communication with us. The care givers were wonderful in every way. They worked tirelessly for each of the residents. The food was healthy and fresh. My mom let us know that the food tasted good. The facility's surroundings were fresh and clean. We had no idea just how blessed we were to have our mom cared for the way Nicoleta, and her staff, cared for her. The communication was great! We were informed, in a timely manner, as mom's needs changed. We were informed of the transitional phases of end of life. Nothing came as a surprise. If you have to place your loved one in a facility, I highly recommend that you think about a residential care home. We were informed of the news of his discharge rather suddenly and unexpectedly on a Saturday. I was already back home in Austin and my sister was out of the country so was Amir's caretaker. So, I had to immediately start looking for the best rated home care service in Santa Monica. And that is how I found Legacy Homecare. On Saturday evening I desperately called their office saying that I urgently needed care for my brother starting the next day! After I gave them all the information about him, they sent their nurse the next day to evaluate him and quickly assigned two of their sitters to him starting the next day. One of the sitters would go to him 3 days out of the week and the other, would cover the 4 remaining days in the week, each for 8 hours every day. I feel beyond lucky to have found such a truly remarkable home care service in Legacy. Every single person with whom I interacted at Legacy Homecare was the Kindest, the most helpful, the most accommodating, and the most professional. Both of their sitters were just fantastic and I felt I could trust them completely. They truly provided the best possible care imaginable to Amir during the almost 3 months he was at the rehab. They would not only report to Legacy every day with a detailed information they would log in their chart, they would also keep me abreast of his condition daily. If there was anything they thought I needed to know, they would immediately let me know while making it very easy for me to communicate with them and with Amir. During this time I went to visit Amir in Los Angeles and I was delighted to meet both of the lovely sitters and was able to thank them personally for all that they were doing for my brother.
