Even the burger by itself. Their fries are crispy, unsalted which I like. Others in my family got a steak sandwich with the lobster; and the 5-pc chicken strips, which came with a choice of 3 sauces. Roasted garlic was good, even for the fries. On our first time there, I had the lobster BLT. Yumm. We were able to customize some items, found it easier at the kiosk but the staff at the counter asked also anyway. You get a number and someone brings the food to your table. Options for wine, beer, cocktails also alongside one wall but a lot weren't available. Was fine with our sweet tea/fountain drinks, self-served. The place was very clean, even the restrooms. Food here is AMAZING! I will definitely come back! It is a fast causal restaurant as there is no waiter service and you order on a kiosk and they bring the food to you but this is anything but fast food in terms of taste and quality. We got the lobster cheese fries, lobster roll and Philly cheese steak and honestly everything was 5/5. The lobster was fresh and meaty and they did not cheap out on the portions. I have eaten here several times over the years. The burgers are consistently good as well as the fries. I also enjoy the coleslaw. Today i ordered delivery and the food came open in the bag, half wrapped in paper, not even fully wrapped- and the fries were not even wrapped up, just open in a cup inside a brown paper bag. Wow...I am impressed. We came on our drive home as a pit stop to get out and stretch and honestly were super hungry. The food was so fantastic we had nothing left at all. Service here you order at the front get a number to place on your table and the food is brought to you when ready. We ordered their fried chicken sandwich, fries, the supreme lobster roll, and a cookies and cream milkshake. The lobster roll was out of this world and well worth the price. The fried chicken was flavorful and had the perfect amount of crunch. The inside was very clean and had a cozy bar modern vibe to it. Tried this place based off TikTok reviews and IG pictures. It was kinda disappointing when their IG stated between 8pm-10pm, lobster add-on for sandwiches was $1.99, but they told me that promo ended last month. Why would you keep up that promotion on your social media page if it's invalid? I even asked the cashier if they could honor it and they said no, due the promo was taken out from their system. Beer/Cocktail/Wine were only $1.99 extra if you include it with an entree purchase, but a soda would cost $2.49. How does that make any sense. Their wall of tap was half empty when we went and were only able to choose between certain selection of their beer and wine. They have free water and coffee at least. The food was pretty mid. We wanted to try their A La Vodka Pizza, but told us they were not seriving any pizza or breakfast items. Another disappointment. We ended hhaving their Rex Burger with bacon, Classic Lobster Roll and their Crispy Shrimp platter. The Rex Burger felt like a neater version of a Five Guys burger, which was pretty decent. Lol. Nice crunch with the butter. Obviously the lobster itself was very enjoyable. Large pieces of fresh lobster. You can really taste the subtle lobster flavor since nothing else is on it to mask or overwhelm. - Rex burger: This was really good! Very juicy. The size was just right. Each bite was the perfect bite. It's just a regular old fashion burger without all the bells and whistles, but a good one. My husband said it reminded him too much of an In-N-Out burger... whatever that means. - Fries: I usually am not a fan of shoestring fries but these were tasty. The spicy mayo sauce that I made extra for was meh. Not the typically spicy mayo I expected like from Asian establishments. This was just literally a spicy sauce that has no element other than being overly spicy for no reason... there's no depth to the sauce. Stick with ketchup. 1/5 -- The Rex Has Gone Way Downhill I used to love The Rex -- it was one of those hidden gems with great quality and bold flavors. But after my recent visit, I can honestly say it's just not good anymore. I ordered the filet and lobster sandwich, something I used to rave about. What I got was sloppy, bland, and just plain disappointing. The lobster wasn't fresh -- it was mostly end pieces with none of that sweet, tender claw meat. It felt like scraps thrown together with no attention to quality. The filet was equally underwhelming: small, dry, and flavorless, served on a roll that looked like it came out of a cafeteria line. There was zero balance, or even a hint of seasoning to tie it together. At this price point, you'd expect something special -- or at least edible. Was in the area and decided to stop by for lunch. I've been wanting to try this place for quite some time...today was the day. I got the regular lobster roll with warm drawn butter and a side of fries with roasted garlic sauce and spicy Mayo. The lobster roll was delicious. Nice chunks of lobster and not saturated in butter. Fries were nice and crisp! I love crispy fries. The sauces paired nicely with them. The roasted garlic sauce was amazing and I want it on everything. The spicy Mayo was good as well, but my favorite out of the two was the roasted garlic! It's a little expensive, but I feel it was worth it for the taste and quality of the food. I've been wanting to try this place for a while and I'm happy I did! They have a lot of options on their menu, including breakfast sandwiches, pizza, etc. I decided to order something I've never had before and that was the Burger Grilled cheese. It's a thin beef patty in between a grilled cheese. This was so huge, and filling but very delicious. With the patty and all the cheeses combined plus the bread, it was very rich. The sandwich itself was absolutely delicious but it's not a sandwich I would finish. I should've taken the other half home because I was so full. I ordered a side of French fries, and they were crispy and fresh. I wanted to get a milkshake but they (in my opinion were too pricey). They were $8 and to me it didn't look like alot of milkshake. Brought my daughter here since we were in the mood for some lobster & we've been wanting to try this place for sometime. It's a small location in a mini mall and when we got there it was completely empty inside. They have plenty of area for seating and a bar that looks like it's just to sell wine & possibly whatever alcohol is in the fridge. We first ordered at the register and then grabbed a table some are half booths and some full tables, the booths are a beautiful red color which definitely was our choice. My lobster roll of choice was the classic warm roll $29.95 a decent size I had to ask for a side of butter because it definitely needed it. I would def get it again they weren't skimp on the lobster I had really good chunky pieces. The total was pricy but reasonable. They cook all their burgers the same temperature, but no worries because the burger wasn't over/undercooked. The red burger typically comes with 2 Pattie's. I decided to try this place because the menu was different. I have not seen any places where you can add lobster to basically any sandwich. The chicken and lobster sandwich was really good. The chicken had great seasoning. It was tender and the lobster is also very good. The cheeseburger with lobster was OK. I definitely recommend chicken and lobster sandwich rather than the burger. You can also obtain the sandwiches without lobster. When I go again I'll either have the chicken and lobster or just have a lobster sandwich because the lobster was also really good. The price is reasonable about $12 for a sandwich but they charge another $10 or so to add lobster. They gave us a free apple pie and it was delicious. This review update is long overdue and the positive experience I had tonight on 9/16/20 couldn't go unnoticed. I placed an order for pick up for which the kitchen staff made an error. I am very understanding and I get things happen but I also like to let businesses know when I'm not satisfied. So I politely called and mentioned how my burger wasn't cooked the way I wanted and I just wanted to give them a heads up to be a little more mindful/attentive to requests. A gentleman named Manny picked up the phone and was so understanding that I was actually shocked. I explained that I wasn't trying to be difficult and he continue to state that he completely understood and apologized for the kitchens mistake. He offered to remake it for me at no charge. After such a horrible day at work, this burger was going to make me day and I just want to say thank you Manny for going out of your way to make your customers feel happy. It was a small deed, that made such a difference for me tonight. I also want to mention that the girl who picked up the phone tonight was also amazing. She was super friendly and courteous. DUDE!!! I love this place. If you are a lobster lover like me you have to go here before you die! One of my favorite things in the world is a warm lobster roll and the one I got here was literally bigger than my hand you can see in the picture. It was huge and full. Of. Lobster! Now granted, when I placed my order and went to pick up they had messed up my order. I got a burger for my daughter and a lobster roll for myself along with a milkshake and two orders of fries. The first time I went for my order all I had was the lobster and milkshake. Thank goodness I checked my order in the car and realized everything that was missing. I went back to get my daughters burger & our fries which apparently was never made so I had to wait for that. Then after I got the second bag (which they said had all the rest of my food in it) I checked again and guess what, no fries at all!
