    Quarter Pound W/ Cheese
    Dawn A.

I know All American is iconic. And even on this cold January day, it was fairly packed. We were in the neighborhood and my son's friend suggested it. It's been on my list for a long time as I'm always in search of a good burger. First - the service was impeccable. The kids were super nice. And the line moved fast, even though the parking lot was packed. I love how it looks like an old fashioned burger joint, well lit with outdoor seating for when it's not like 25 degrees out!! I know this place gets packed in the summer. The prices were also amazing! We got 3 quarter pounder cheeseburgers, 2 fries, onion rings and a shake for under $30. The fries - easily some of the best I've ever tasted and I'm not a fry person. The onion rings were a bit soggy for my taste. Now... the burger. It was good. Definitely not the best and even the quarter pound of meat was lost in the giant sesame bun. I hope people don't hate me for saying this. It had good flavor. And you can't beat the price. But you can definitely get better tasting burgers. Still if I lived closer it's way better than McDonald's for an even lower price and I will make this a summer tradition when we're driving around and don't have any goals. It's not bad. Not the best burger but a great tradition and solid fast food for a really good price.

Old school drive in burger joint and we come here and it's a treat for ya. The line might be out the door but they have it down for making it go quickly. I will say this over and over again, I come for the burger but stay for the fried shrimp. This visit was special. We ate out of the trunk of hubs car and Bubs ate both the small and large order of fries. It's just a great place to create memories with decent food. Seriously, get the shrimp!

The food was pretty basic. It moved fast which is a plus if you're in a rush. There was not a lot of seating with tables as it was cold When i went and there's only outdoor seating.

Love all American! This is a staple here on LI. My go to order - quarter pounder with cheese, no pickles, and a large order of onion rings. My dad loves the milk shakes and my husband prefers the French fries. There is outdoor seating only and it's kept a minimum. Definitely a grab and go place. This place can definitely get crowded and there can be a long line, but it moves pretty quickly. Give yourself extra time and then maybe order an extra side of onion rings!

It's All American - a Long Island staple! Quick service, super affordable prices, and decent burgers. It's got the old school burger joint feel, an is pretty much a grab and go operation. If you've never tried it and live on LI, stop denying yourself this simple pleasure.

Super fast service made the experience seamless, and the cashier was very nice. The prices are very reasonable ; offering excellent value. The quarter pounder with cheese stood out, you could really taste the cheese, and it came with onions and pickles, adding a nice crunch and taste ( next take I'll order extra onions ) The burger itself practically melts in your mouth, delivering great flavor that left me wishing I had ordered two burgers . While I would have loved indoor seating, mayo, and bacon options to enhance the meal, the overall quality and taste keep me coming back. Definitely a spot worth revisiting!

The line wrapped entirely around the building, but it is clear why. Amazing prices, and it felt like a real trip back in time with the retro design. The burgers were a bit small, so if you're hungry definitely order a few. They're also not the most flavorful, but I still think for the price it is worth it.

We liked the old drive-in style of All American Hamburger Drive In. Parts of the building, like the front counter area, are covered from the elements but the few tables they have aren't. Bec of the season and we went on a cold windy day, we ate in the car. Found residential parking nearby. We entered thru the back door (sign said to make one line; helps flow of people traffic) and joined the line. There were at least 3 registers taking orders so whoever was ready stepped up to one of them. Menu is posted behind them. Ordering was quick bec. we just read off the menu ( I did wish there were options to add some veggie toppings). Picked up our order when called, from the right side of the counter. Prices are really good. Each of us had complete meals plus extra for around $10-12 each. The beef patty in the hamburger was small so took off 1/2 of the bun. I guess I can try the double header next time. I liked the fish sandwich with the tartar sauce, and the hot knish, plus the good-sized chocolate shake for $2.85! Service was fast, and friendly. Haven't been to this area before but will surely return.

Don't be mad at me for saying this, but I really wasn't a fan. We came all the way out here from Queens because of the reviews and the reputation of this place. I love the retro feel when you walk in, the decor, the lights, the shape of the building, it reminds me everything of an old school drive in, that they did not miss! We ordered the whole menu. lol! We wanted to try everything! Fried shrimp, cheeseburger, hot dog, fries and grilled cheese. The fried shrimp was crispy, good, but definitely frozen. Cheeseburger had the taste, but the bun was bigger than the burger, threw half of the bread out. Hot dog was basic, but the grilled cheese was horrible! They put it on a hamburger bun! Who does that?! Fries were perfect! Crispy, freshly cut, one of the best parts of the meal. The service was perfect! Very pleasant, very patient with me in going through the menu and helping me make my final decisions. Would I go back? Probably not, if I'm passing and I want a quick burger maybe... I have it a 3 because of the grilled cheese on a hamburger bun and the burger being so small compared to the bread! No bueno! Thank you for the experience though!

Nostalgic old fashioned burger place. Menu is simple, enjoyed a classic cheeseburger with small fries and onion rings. Cheeseburger was tasty. Fries were seasoned nicely and crispy. Onions rings were a little soft. Busy place but the lines moved fast and food came out quickly.

I'm not a big fan of Long Island (from Brooklyn) but when I do go, I try to hit one of the best burger places I have been to "All American". This place is always crowded, but the service isn't slow, they run it like fine-tuned machine! There's at least 15 people in the kitchen pumping out orders as fast as they come, it's amazing to watch! I used to deliver hamburger buns here when I was a kid, and used to look forward to going there, because the burgers, fries, everything, were fresh and were extremely delicious! IT IS THE SAME DELICIOUS FOOD AS IT WAS YEARS AGO I got a quarter pound burger with cheese (even though everyone swears the "double double" is the best) fries, hot dog, onion rings and a knish. Yes, I ate all of it! THE QUARTER POUND BURGER- Not too much fat, just enough, juicy, very flavorful- the meat was not overwhelmed by the cheese, you tasted every component of this burger, even the pickles! This is what a good, wholesome classic cheeseburger should taste like... AMAZING! THE FRIES - Nothing artificial here, freshly cut and fried every day! Crispy outside, soft inside, not too greasy, little salty - Damn... These are some excellent fries! THE KNISH - YES! "The Knish" You don't think you're going to get a good knish from a burger place, but this was a classic well-made knish! The outer crust was slightly crispy, golden and tasty, with a soft, mildly seasoned little thicker than mashed potato inside than was perfect! Not a thick crusted "Coney Island Knish" but just as delicious, I was pleasantly surprised!!! I'm not going into everything else they have and what I ate, because I myself would not go to an amazing burger joint and order the fish fillet, even though, wait... MAYBE I SHOULD TRY THAT NEXT TIME!!!

Can't beat the price for everything at all American. Went for a shake for $2.85 the other day and they are just delicious. The fries are still my favorite. Perfect fries and you get a lot. Only affordable takeout these days. We also celebrate about with I e cream next door at Marshall's as see in the pics.

The line moved quickly, and I ordered an 8-piece family meal with 2 sides, 2 dinner rolls, 2 tortilla's and a drink for $31.89 + 1 Regular drink $3.10 + tax $3.11 totaled $38.10 -- honestly, excellent value for under $40. Only downside: they only had legs and thighs available. Luckily, those are my favorite pieces, so no complaints here (KFC would never... LOL). I tried both the fried and baked chicken -- both were seasoned really well and very tasty. The yuca fries were a fun change from regular fries, and I enjoyed them. For my drink, I tried the "Jamaica" flavor which I think is similar to sorrel. It wasn't very sweet -- more on the tart side -- but refreshing. I tried the Horchata and Mango drinks, but Jamaica was my favorite. Overall, a good first experience. Delicious food, good value, and I'll definitely be back to try more.
