Idk how this place only has 2.5 stars. We had awesome service and awesome food! We are extremely happy with our experience. We got the pizza, BBQ wings, calamari and Buffalo max and cheese. It was all so delicious! And our server was a pro. It was a nice treat to have great customer service in a time where it feels like customer service is dead. Not sure of all the negative reviews. We come here often and never have bad service or food. We love the pizza. Burgers are good. Barbados tacos, fried avocados. My only complaint would be that the service sometimes is slow depending on who you get. But I know how the workforce is right now, it can't be easy for a restaurant. I've been here to eat twice. About 2 months ago I met with a friend. We had a great hour hour meal. There were quite a few people there to eat. Overall very experience. Yesterday I took my son for a quick bite for a small celebration of an a school accomplishment. The place was pretty smoky from the grill. It look to be a lead or a manager seated us. He seemed to be pretty happy to be there. Okay, the second server came to get our drinks. Oh boy the attitude change. The mood was flat. He could see we barely touched our food and asked if we would like a box? I said no thank you. I gave a tip. Not a large one, but hey he showed up for the day. Pretty much not going back there. We got our pizza and looked around at all the other customers and their pizza was cooked to a good crisp and some char. If you want elementary school pizza, this is your place that is exactly how ours came out. Also, when my partner and I first got seated the waitress came up to us and said "do you want something?" Of course we have never been there before so we asked for more time. Then they replied by saying "well just water then?!" In my opinion there was a way they could have said things like "what drinks are we having today?" Or something along those lines. Maybe their thoughtlessness came from not caring, it was the end of their shift, or we were brown? We will never know. read more

Being vegetarian it's nice to have other options besides veggie burgers, the grill delivers. Really good tofu lettuce wraps, really good vegan chik'n sandwich. Very low expectations coming into today, the reviews for this place are honestly not good. But it's close to home and I can sit outside, so we give it a chance. The food is absolutely average. I am so disappointed that I had a bad experience here today because that usually isn't the case. I have come here for happy hour quite a few times over the last couple of years and the experience has been very good, unfortunately I never got the chance to review. The Ridge has an amazing happy hour menu and great drink specials as well, and I love coming here because of that. I stopped in today for a drink and some food before I head across the street to Big Al's for the UFC fights and well I got a drink. It was busy, because it was happy hour so keep that in mind. The happy hour is only good in the bar area, so the bar was really busy and I get that. I am a manager at a restaurant, so I know things can get hectic. I was offered a small table at the end of the bar so I obliged and was greeted almost right away by one of the several bartenders. I asked for a moment to decide what I wanted from the happy hour menu. He left and came back like 5 minutes later and asked if I wanted a drink. I ordered the "ridge fashioned" and I am sure you can guess it is their take on an old fashioned. I have had it many times and they make a really good one. He came back with my drink a couple of minutes later and my drink hadn't even hit my table before he had turned around and was gone. I have a major problem with this. My biggest complaint is I sat here and watched him go to other tables and make drinks and stop by everyone at the bar and then stop and just talk to the other staff that was in the vicinity. I don't care how busy you are, the right thing to do is ask if I wanted to do any food. At that point I either say yes or no, and he says ok give me a few minutes to greet or whatever and then he comes back or he says ok what would you like. Neither of those things happened. So I sat here drinking my old fashioned and writing my backlog of yelp reviews from the last month. It wasn't until 20 minutes later that he made it back to my table and asked "are you doing good?" Once again he could have said hey have you thought about any food? But he didn't. A complete disappointment from a really good restaurant. The drink is great, I know from past experiences the food is amazing, unfortunately today the customer service was absolutely horrible. I am giving two stars today, and that is only because the drink was really good. I will be back, and hopefully have a better experience. read more

This place is just down the street from me, so my husband and I eat there a lot. I love Steele, the bartender! I like the atmosphere. The food is pretty good. This place used to be B.J. Willy's Woodfired Pizza, which had 2.5 stars before it turned into "The Ridge." The Figgy Piggy pizza is a tasty but confusing creation with each bite having a different burst of flavor: sweet, salty, savory, burnt. The Seafood Mac & Cheese elicited an unenthusiastic "Meh" from my co-worker. We tried out the pineapple cider, but we found the taste odd and off-putting. We agreed that overall they're charging a bit too much given the quality. I enjoyed that burnt-wood smell when I walked in, but the interior looked a bit tired and worn. The table was wobbly and we had to brush away a few crumbs. The service is friendly but everything was very slow, especially for a business lunch hour, so I wouldn't recommend this place if you're in a hurry. Don't bother with this place. Just moved here and after moving, could def use some pizza. Moving means burning calories no better way than to refuel then with pizza. The phone rang and rang. Finally ordered and person on phone was short. Went to get pizza and just short brief interaction. Look at the pizza and it's a joke. 18 bucks for this. It's a small super thin pizza. Not worth it at all. I should have just gone to little Caesar's and would have gotten way more for less money. I don't even care for cheese but there is literally no cheese on my veggie pizza. The food and service were ok but the restaurant was lacking cleanliness and could use some serious updating the table and booths were sticky and rocking from being unbalanced. The black plastic plates looked dirty and need to be replaced same with the plastic cups. this restaurant has a pretty high price point to not do better. The minute I walked in the restaurant at 4:30 in the afternoon the girl at the front counter seemed so annoyed and didn't even greet us with a smile. Our server came to our table 1 time! We had to seek out other employees to get us things we needed for our meal. There was hardly any customers at this time. Where was our waitress??? We needed to go boxes and went to bar to ask for check and boxes and I said the service was really bad. A few employees heard me. I am starting at a 5 star review JUST because we haven't eaten the food (so when we go back and have an actual meal I may adjust.) We went on Mother's Day to sit outside and have a drink while my kids played in the splash pad area. We had a GREAT waiter, who alone was 5 stars as he kept our water full and made sure we had wine we loved. He wished both my mom and I a Happy Mother's Day and took excellent care of us. The happy hour is what brings us coming back to The Ridge. Some of my favs are the Avocado fries !!!, wood fired Brussel sprouts, and steamer clams. These are the best because they are unchanged and always delicious. The wings are either a BIG hit or a BIG overcooked miss. The bruschetta with the spicy ceviche is so good until now... They changed the thin sliced French crostini with a stale end of a sour dough which made it too tough and honestly off putting to eat. The $14.00 Ruben and $22.00 bowl of pasta. Before I even get to the poor quality and way over priced food let's talk about the Wi-Fi and cell reception. It's horrible! Might as well be in a 3rd world country. If you need to work or make a phone call forget about it. Why doesn't this place have cell and Wi-Fi boosters? Yes they have Wi-Fi for guests but it's horrible. If you want a sandwich at this place save your money or plan on spending $14 bucks or more for a sandwich the size of a slice of wonderbread. The sandwich bread was dry as a bone, meat was cold and portion was small and the taste was bland. The order to serve time took forever and our food was cold. Holy cow that was disappointing. We used to live in the area and loved this place when it was BJ Willy's. We recently moved back over here and the menu didn't change so we gave it a shot. Our favorite item was the chicken wings. If you're reading this, PLEASE don't order the wings. They are not what they used to be. I ordered 2 full orders to go (30 wings) and they came in one box with only 27. They were swimming in a pool of the Buffalo sauce that had this weird flavor that I can't even describe. Something I've never tasted in a Buffalo sauce before. And to top it all off, they used to be crispy and delicious but instead had some soggy breading type material on the outside. If I recall, they used to be cooked in the woodfire, but these tasted like they were taken out of a bag from the freezer and thrown in the oven for 15 minutes. Beyond disappointed, in the service, the food, and how they handled the mistakes. 3 of our meals were messed up, the wait for our meals was so long, and even after taking forever the kids meals still came out 15min after the adult meals. The food was extremely underwhelming, either way over cooked or undercooked. The fish n Chips was so under cooked a member of our party barely made it the restroom before vomiting. Our server wasn't attentive, and didn't seem to care about anything! We waited an extra 20min after we were done eating just for our server to walk by so we could ask for the check (because the two other people we asked couldn't help us, and said they'd let him know). My husband and I came in on a quiet Saturday afternoon when we were done running errands nearby. The place looks nice. Slightly industrial with big windows, Edison bulb lighting, and generously sized high-back booths. We ordered a Rueben and fries, spinach-artichoke dip, and fried avocado with a nice dry seasonal blackberry hard cider. It took forever for our food to arrive. That would have been fine if our food was hot. The only food that was hot was the fried avocado which was served with "spicy" ranch (i.e., a disappointing ranch with some sriracha mixed in). The battered fries, while delicious, were warm at best as was the sandwich and the spinach dip. When we went to ask for plain ranch, our server was nowhere to be found and we had to ask the hostess instead. Today we witnessed the worst customer service at the Ridge Grill. The waitress was so rude and disrespected the couple next to us for asking to move to a shady table due to the extreme heat from the sun. Despite her making a scene in front of all the other customers, the couple remained respectful to her and we were shocked at how she abruptly she gathered the menu and cutlery and stormed to the other table. This might be a good restaurant but the waitresses level of unprofessionalism made this the worst experience we've ever witnessed. I don't know the waitresses name but she had short wavy hair and bangs. I'm curious if she treated them this way because they were visible minority. If that's the case I would never want to be served by this waitress and it would be a shame if the employer allows this type of racism. read more

We had to wait a bit to get a table due to the distancing, but it seemed they could have opened more tables and still stayed within the guidelines. Anyway the food was great. That's the main thing. Both were priced at $19, which is understandable for the salad(but that wasn't even anything to write home about), but the pizza???? Pizza by delivery. I'm picky with pizza and this was quite good. The delivery time was very fast and I thoroughly enjoyed everything about the pizza. The crust looks and tastes fresh and homemade. It's wood fired just right, crisp with chew. Red sauce was delicious, if on the spicy side. It had a ton of ingredients and didn't get soggy. Since it was delivery, it was pricey but no worse than other local pie places. It's way better than those frozen dough chain spots. Will visit in person soon! read more
