    Cheese board
    Holly G.

We had a reservation so we were sat immediately. Our server was great and attentive! The cheese board had all kinds of tasty bites on it. The drinks were amazing! Every single entree was phenomenal!!! [[HIGHLIGHT]]The view was great.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]This is a good spot for a date night![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

Came to the Ridge Room because we are staying at the Hyatt Place. It's certainly fun in the sense that it feels a bit hidden and when you walk in, it almost gives speakeasy vibes. We came in the evening it there was nice ambiance, it wasn't loud, seemed like a smaller, intimate spot. Our server was Danielle and she was incredibly nice and even gave us hiking recommendations as we told her we were going to Shenandoah the following day. We ordered a Soothsayer drink, the cheeseboard, the mushroom flatbread and broccoli and cauliflower. The drink was decent, nothing to write home about. I will say, the names of their drinks are super peculiar and I almost wanted to ask how they came up with them but I didn't lol. The charred broccoli and cauliflower was so much better than I expected it to be. Light, but flavorful. A perfect amount of smoky char, too. The mushroom flatbread tasted a bit like it was frozen and heated up. Had a great taste, although the crust itself was bland and lacking and after about 10 minutes the cheese got a bit coagulated. The cheeseboard was fantastic. Great amount of accoutrements, however, I do think three small pieces of cheese didn't suffice. Either add another variety, or make the portions a bit bigger. For the three dishes and a beverage, the total came to $58.40. Definitely a bit pricey, but the convenience if you're staying in the hotel is worth it.

    Negroni

Absolutely fantastic experience at Ridge Room. Tapas bar with a great view (for being in the center of town). Service was friendly, great vibe of music, drinks (Negroni) was great, and the food didn't disappoint. I had the baked Brie and the pork belly. Baked Brie was definitely sweeter than I was expecting but the flaked sea salt on the bread was a good touch. The pork belly was perfectly cooked and the Brussels, puree, and the pears added such depth of flavor. No complaints and I'll definitely be back! Highly recommend

Love the cute drinks and foods. The plates are small so I would go for snacks not a full meal. The wine was decent. Their cocktails are always amazing. The wait staff is friendly and it's a cute date night spot.

    Virginia Old Fashioned

[[HIGHLIGHT]]Just needed a good drink and a place to unwind for a bit, and The Ridge Room delivered.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I stopped in and ordered their Virginia Old Fashioned (KO Bare Knuckle bourbon, brown sugar, bitters), and honestly--it was spot on. Smooth, just the right amount of sweet, and super easy to sip on. The bartender was awesome, super friendly and welcoming from the start. It wasn't a busy night, but she kept herself busy the whole time, making sure everything looked good and everyone felt taken care of. I wish I remembered her name because she definitely deserves some recognition. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Only thing that took away from the vibe was the amount of gnats flying around the bar. Kinda hard to ignore after a while.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] But aside from that, it was a great experience, and I'd definitely stop by again.

    Charcuterie board and Deviled eggs

[[HIGHLIGHT]]Great food, great view, prices that don't break the bank.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Had the charcuterie board, the braised short rib, and the deviled eggs. All were terrific. Service was also great.

    Meatballs with lots of sauce.

There were the largest "small" plates we've been ever served. The generous portions could have been shared with three rather than just the two of us. And very tasty, too. (Who cares about portion size if the food is yuck!?). Service was super quick and pleasant. We shall return.

Really cute rooftop restaurant that's a part of the Hyatt hotel. Relatively new, opened about 2 years ago but I'd never heard of it until tonight. My friends recommended it so we went. Park to the left of the hotel and you'll see its own entrance. We didn't make reservations and were able to be seated right away on a Friday night. I feel like a lot of people still don't know about this hidden gem. Our server was super sweet. Only downside was that it was FREEZING inside, we asked to move to a table that was closer to the outdoor seating cause the outside at night with winds was warmer than inside lol. They also have space heaters but unfortunately all the outdoor seating was taken. The views though for sunset were unreal. The cocktails were so good, I did the Tiki rum drink. Their food portions are all small plates so you get a couple to share. My husband and I did the short rib, crab cakes, flatbread, sweet & sour meatballs, and the baguette. It was all SO good omg and we ate it all too and still got dessert. I got the chocolate torte which was very rich, I couldn't finish it by myself.

More space between tables. My crab cakes were burned on both sides. Therefore, cook the food so it is not overdone and burnt.

It can become a frenzied nucleus of sundry, displaced Steelers fans. And at Time-Out, their singular passion for Pittsburgh outshines their real-life heterogeneities. It's cute. Now I'm a Patriots fan. Not making this a secret, I was setup to watch my game on an old tube TV that wasn't adjusted to display the particulars of the game. It wasn't even large enough to discern who was involved in what play. As I missed the details of play after play, all the potential accolades that could have come from Time-Out being a smoker-friendly establishment vanished. TVs galore and I'm stuck watching my team's unabated conquest on a poorly tuned box circa 1985? And I could swear the thing had wood grain siding. Fail. As a practical matter, management should be advised that when it comes to pizza, every inch of cheese isn't supposed to immediately slide off the bread when slices are handled. Just saying. I'm convinced that they spray the dough with Teflon at Time-Out. All this being said, the service here is exemplary. Our waiter made regular rounds and we were not wanting for pitchers of beer. It's easy to quaff them down at Time-Out. So if you're looking for a place to drink and smoke, come here. But don't expect one iota more.
