This is my favorite pie place on the planet. They are located in Kalaheo and a great place to stop for a snack. They truly have the best pies you can eat. The Lilikoi cheese cake, Mango Lilikoi and Macadamia Nut is to die for. I also bought the Swiss cheese and bacon quiche for breakfast and was very happy with my purchase. This is a cute little shop and they sell other stuff aside from pies. Service is excellent and the staff has great recommendations. THE RIGHT SLICE was our refuge in the storm last night. We decided to see if we could find gas about 11pm. No luck. We DID find that The Right Slice stayed open all night. (Normal hours they close at 6pm.) We drove by and saw their double doors open. Everywhere else was locked up tight. We parked up front. Walked in and the crazy night was calmed. Sandy had a huge smile and offered to cook up some pot pies of our choice. 40 minutes later and a lot of laughing and listening to a scratchy radio for updates we enjoyed our feast. Coming here for dessert is a must! Their pies are so unique and also so yummy. My favorite is the coconut cream pie. My parents who do not even like coconut enjoyed this pie so much! We all agree that we would get this pie again. They make their pies fresh every day. The lady who helped us was very sweet and kind. She was very patient with us and thoughtful. Their offering was a lilikoi cheesecake that was supreme. And to cut the bright acid of that pie I also caved into my passion for chocolate with a chocolate coconut pie. First off, the crust was hand made. This telltale sign lets you know you're getting something artisanal. If you can't tell a machine made crust versus handmade, I'm sorry because the flakiness and texture are worlds apart. The cheesecake was shockingly great. Not good. Great. From the texture to the flavor, this pie ranked top of the day. It was sweet without being cloyingly so and the balance of lilikoi was spot if for my taste buds! The biggest downfall was not getting enough and sharing it with my crew. Our chocolate coconut pie was the perfect counterpoint to the cheesecake. I would consider myself a connoisseur of savory pies and I'm always disappointed how few options almost places have--it's either a chicken pot pie, or a shepherd's pie, which, don't get me wrong, I love me a tasty chicken pot pie or a shepherd's pie but variety is the spice of life! Is it not? If you're planning on dining in, just keep a heads up that the pies are fresh to order so they need to go in the oven for 30 minutes. No problem: you're on island time! Sit back and order a slice of a sweet pie while you wait--like I did. I ordered a slice of the Macadamia nut pie while I waited for my dad's savory pie to come out of the oven. I totally regret not trying the Nopalitos and Beef pot pie because I love eating Nopales (Cactus, if you're unfamiliar with Nopales there are many tasty recipes that have them) and putting them in a pot-pie sounds exquisite. The Macadamia nut pie was delicious, it had a similar consistency to Pecan pie but was nowhere near as sweet, which I loved because I'm watching my sugar intake. Super yummy pies with a bunch of delicious options to choose from like mango lilikoi, blueberry pina colada and chocolate coconut macaroon. you can but the whole pie or by the slice. The mango lilikoi one I tried was loaded with huge pieces of mango and the pie crust was perfectly buttery, flaky and sweet. Individual slices are 7.50 and are fairly average sized. There are a few tables in the store to eat at. My one complaint is they don't offer to heat it up for you so they're served room temperature and I prefer mine heated up. It's right off the main road with a small parking lot but does make it a bit of a pain to back out on the main road. read more

Now I just ate a lilikoi chiffon pie at Aunty Lilikoi but this a pie so entirely different. It was end it the day but they had several who pies in the case. I got mango lilikoi pie and Lilikoi cheesecake . I ate them in car so make sure to get a fork or eat it with your hand would work too. The mango lilikoi pie had real mango but could not taste lilikoi so it was a good mango pie. The crust was flaky and buttery. I kinda wish for more pie crust. Now, the Lilikoi cheesecake was divine. Perfect texture with a hint of tang. I cannot really tell the lilikoi since there is not any bits but it was creamy. The grapham cracker crust was homemade tasting. I would like to try other flavors but not sure if I will make it back. But I highly recommend this pie shop. I would call this place my Leoda pie version (Maui). read more

My sister was bugging to come get pie here. We had just gotten to the house and my sister asked what's for dinner? I looked at her and said beer. Not the answer she wanted. So she said let's get the Right Slice. And I said no, I want the whole pie. She said, great, they have personal pies! So I was sold to try the Right Slice. The Right Slice is along Kaumualii Highway in Kalaheo. Parking is a little tight, so don't go speeding too quickly or you'll pass it and have to do a turn around further down the street. Because we were walk-ins, we had to get what they had on hand. So if you want something in particular, call ahead of time to pre-order. I called ahead to see if they had anything left since it was close to closing time for them. But we were fine with what we got. We got the smaller sized pies, which was fine so that we could try a variety. We got the chicken pot pie, a vegetarian pot pie, a blueberry ginger pie, and a seafood pot pie. There were cut outs on the pie so we could identify them. See my pic. The pies weren't cooked, so we got back to the house and turned the oven on. 375 and 45 minutes later, we were ready to try them all. The crusts were delicious and the inside of each pie were great! Saw this store on the side of the road and knew I had to make a stop as a pie lover. The haupia sweet potato was not sweet at all so didn't enjoy that at all but the other two were so delicious. Mac nut was crunchy and sweet, very much like a pecan pie but better. Island lime had the great balance of sweet and sour as all great key lime pies do. The crust was delicious on all the pies.
