Good gelato that can get pretty busy. Small indoor space with no seating available. They only let one family inside at a time to order. I ordered 1 scoop of Blood Orange in a cup. They have many vegan options to choose from. My sister ordered the Hawaiian Cheesecake and Macadamia Nut scoops in a cup. I loved hers way better than mine. Gelato will melt fast so make sure to eat quickly. Blood Orange: 3.5/5 Hawaiian Cheesecake: 5/5 Macadamia Nut: 5/5 Brownie: 4/5

Came to get the kid his cookies and cream fix. Got to get a taste and it was of course tasty. The gelato tasted like the cream middle of oreos! It wasn't too creamy or thick, but worked better for the hot weather. Sweetness was a tad over, but it was cookies n cream after all.

This was certainly was good and refreshing gelato. They don't have inside seating, but we readily found seating outside. While you wait outside, see my sign pic, you try to make up your mind as to what you want, see my menu pic. Interestingly, they have gelato cakes (good to know). We are big gelato fans and went back a few times.

Came by for gelato today. Service was OUTSTANDING, worker let me sample some flavors and was very friendly and helpful. Ended up getting a scoop of chocolate hazelnut and a scoop of a coconut flavor. Gelato was good but not great. Have had much better gelato elsewhere. Was impressed with the staff though and glad to see a place letting you sample the product.

Located in the Poipu shopping Village on Plantation Drive. We tried it twice while we were here and the only reason I didn't give it 5 stars was due to the fact that the gelato on the previous occasion seemed to be a little melted. The second time it seems fine so maybe it was a one off thing. The shop inside is small hence the reason why they only allow one family in there at a time. On both occasions the line got long but it seemed to move fairly quickly. Nothing particularly exceptional about the gelato but definitely well worth it.

Omg YUM! Swing by here after eating dinner in the same mall complex and even though I was full I made myself make room for this gelato. The lady who served us was so nice and patient with giving samples (max 3 per person). It was also a neat feature of their establishment that only one family group was allowed in at a time, but only due to inside space, not COVID. There were so so many good looking flavors but I settled on a double scoop - 1 banana Oreo (sorbetto) and 1 Mahaulepu Mint Chip... Definitely come here for top quality gelato! They also serve smoothies, milkshakes, and ice cream cookies!!

    Ridiculous

Gelato was good but overpriced. Also don't like their typical elitist attitude. It's May 2023, stop with the virtue signally charades. Only allowing one group in the store at a time is ridiculous and inefficient. If you're going to make everyone else wait outside, at least post the flavor list outside so when people finally get to enter the shop, they have an idea of what they want to taste or order instead of walking in and having to look and read all the flavors and then decide. It is extremely slow and inefficient. The gelato was good, but overpriced for the size. The large isn't that large, I easily finished it. For the same price, I would get more ice cream than I need from Lappert's. I do appreciate some of the more unique sorbet flavors here. My favorite flavors were pineapple and hibiscus. I've never had hibiscus sorbet before and I found it refreshing and unique. Overall probably 4.5 stars but I'm rounding down to 4 because of their silly and inefficient policies, there were only 5 people (three groups) ahead of us in line but it took us over 10 minutes to be allowed to enter the store since they only allowed one group at in the store to even see the flavors and then taste and order and be served and pay.

We picked up a whole Island Lemon Pie to take with us (forgot to get a photo). I got myself a slice of the Macadamia Nut Pie to go, which was delicious, especially with vanilla bean ice cream. In town for the day simply to show me an investment property my family and I might be interested in the very near future, before she departed she had to pick up an order of pies to bring back to her family. Of course, I came along for the ride because I liked pie, but I was curious how good they were if she was willing to fly several of them in her carry-on. Founded by Sandy in October 2009, she quickly adjusted her business model from doing six community events a week to her first retail location in Lihue in 2011. The business continued to grow that led to a second location this time in Kalaheo in 2014. Fast-forward to today, the Kalaheo store is the only one standing, and she has cultivated a strong following both near and far of pie fans and the continued support of the local community. Did I choose the right slice for my first time here!? PURCHASE(S) Mango Lilikoi Pie Slice ($8.50): Their most popular pie, they had me at mango! Filled with plump juicy mangoes combined with the just right amount of lilikoi (passionfruit) and topped with a sugar crust. Juicy sweetness burst in every bite, and I was in pure heaven! https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?userid=8jVT2inwc8GIQ6sH2UG9Vw&start=120&select=-IUMWv6HB5wpv9AiQ-Y_bg Macadamia Nut Pie Slice ($8.50): This time, they had me at macadamia! Made with a ton of island macadamia nuts, roasted to a perfect golden brown combined with butter, eggs, sugar, and fresh spices for a nutty tropical sensation, this pie reminded me of a pecan pie but so much better! It was heavy, thick, and required a cold glass of milk to perfectly pair it with. I went nuts for this pie! https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?userid=8jVT2inwc8GIQ6sH2UG9Vw&start=120&select=JfthjT1sMLgeXqbfMPGzhA To-Go Containers ($0.50 x2): For my dessert, I've never been charged this before, but I understood businesses needed to cut/pass along costs as much as possible - c'est la vie. Credit Card Surcharge 3.00% ($0.57): Another pass-along fee that has become more prevalent - oh well. SERVICE I was warmly greeted by a young woman behind the counter who gave me time to review the menu while she offered recommendations. Once I ordered, my items were quickly packed and ready to go - mahalo! PARKING (FREE): We were lucky to grab one of the five small spots in front of their shop (it was very difficult to back out due to the heavily-trafficked thoroughfare). Otherwise, I wasn't sure where else you could park nearby - be prepared. OVERALL The Right Slice offered magical pies both savory and sweet (I must return to try a savory one!) all made from scratch and with a ton of love. The care and pride was tasted in each incredible bite, and I wished I had one to bring back with me after I ate each slice back at the resort. Everything tasted phenomenal, the prices may've been a tad high (but well worth it!), and the service was calming and straightforward. Plus, I always loved to try and support small local mom & pop businesses. I found complete value based on the prices, service, and experience noted above (TOTAL paid experience was around $19.00 BEFORE any discounts, points usage, and/or tip). And, they accepted my credit card of choice... AMEX! 5.0 STARS

Although it was one of our favorites, I just want to point out that the prices are a bit high compared to other nearby spots like Little Fish Coffee (their coffees, breakfast sandwiches etc were all at a lower price range in comparison). Also, if you place an online order, they add an 18% gratuity to the order. I'm sorry. It's one thing to require an 18-20% automatic gratuity at a restaurant for large parties but for picking up takeout breakfast sandwiches and coffee I don't really think anyone should be forced to pay a gratuity for takeout. It's not table service, it's takeout and that really should be optional for the customer regardless of whether they order online or in person. In the future, unless I'm really pressed for time (we were on that particular occasion as we had a Na Pali boat excursion to get to), I would just wait in line and avoid the online ordering.
