We tried the chocolate and vanilla pena cotta and they were delicious! It was smooth and thick with great richness! We also picked up a bag of Arare Cookies. I love the extra crispy crunch and texture this cookie has. It's has an almond based flavor with an extra sweet crunch from the rice crackers. The older gentleman behind the counter was patient with me. It was so hard to choose from all the treats. We also tried the blueberry scone and the chocolate chip scone. We adored the sweet black bean filled cookies. 5/5 The Mexican tea cookies, almond and chocolate chip macadamias were also delicious. The Japanese cheesecake is phenomenal. It is decorated beautifully. This is my favorite. The coffee brulee was just the amount of coffee flavor and so smooth. The chocolate mousse cup was something off of a fancy restaurant's tasting menu. Fantastic. The passion fruit mousse was delicately flavored and so refreshing. This is a great little sweet shop. I had been wanting to try it on previous trips to the island and we're glad we finally checked out their offerings after one lunch visit to Tip Top across the street. We were greeted warmly when we first walked in. First impression is that inside is a very clean and bright place. Their display cooler had chocolate & matcha profiteroles ($1.05), panna cotta ($4), chocolate mousse in a cup ($3.60), vanilla bean creme brulee ($4.85), macaroons ($0.95) and Japanese cheesecake ($8.75). There were a number of items that were sold out by that time of day such as mango mousse & lilikoi mouse cups. We got a couple of profiteroles and a panna cotta. The filling of the profiteroles were light and tasty. I liked the chocolate more than the matcha. The panna cotta was very good. It was a nice, light, sweet snack after a heavy lunch. There are a few parking spots in their private lot out front. Street parking is a bit hard to come by. If you're at Tip Top, just walk over. That's the best plan of action for us from now on. We will definitely be back again the next time we're in the area. I gotta try the mango mousse and Japanese cheesecake. read more

A Japanese cheesecake was less than 9 bucks for a decent-sized portion. The person working there was kind and helpful, and the place was clean. They had an assortment of bagged cookies, crème brûlée's, mousse cups and different types of cakes. They do add cinnamon to their choc chip and choc chip macadamia cookies- which I wasn't a fan of. My friend went on a quick trip to Kaua'i and I asked them to bring me back some cookies and manju from this place. It was so good! The manju was soft and flaky and the anko inside was really smooth. The peanut butter cookies had a good flavor and weren't super crunchy or super soft. Right in the middle for those who love both crunchy peanut butter cookies and soft peanut butter cookies. Excellent customer service! The staff is super friendly and helpful. They were sold out of manju, but we were told that they're making more and it would be ready in a couple of hours. Since we were staying in the area we came back and they just finished making the manju and were packing them. Sunday and of course I forgot to get omiyage to bring back Oahu. Little late and everyone closing too. Was at Tip Top and googled what my options were. Kawaii Kokoro right across the street! Good thing easy to spot cuz with my bad sense of direction I started to go in the opposite direction. Girl working was super nice. Grabbed some manju for my mom guys and the in-laws. Packaged nice with saran outside so extra protection from the elements. I like that, so when I shove in my bag it wouldn't pop open and spill. I'm not a manju fan, but ma said was good. We were helped by a kind faced gentle natured man. He had two types of boxes to pack to bring home. We chose the 9 piece clear top boxes vs the 6 piece clear top box or the regular covered pastry type box. Aware that TSA screens food items, we chose the clear lid containers. The pastries we bought were 3 flavors of bite sized pastries. Under $1 each. He also has cold beverages for sale, tables for several groups of customers to sit and enjoy a dreamy snack. There is also a gender neutral restroom. It's close enough to stop on your way back to the airport to bring home as omiyage. Kinda reminds my friend & I of Beard Papa except top is cut off not filled through opening. Caution: flight from Kauai to Oahu some turned over or on side so not as nice as when originally packaged. read more

We visited this cute country style bakery this past Sunday. We were greeted by a friendly elder male who made some recommendations on what we could take with us on the plane back to Honolulu. We chose the chocolate and green tea mini cream puffs called Profiteroles , sweet black bean manju, chocolate coconut macaroons and a crème brulee dessert.
