Sugar a skull is a very cute little bakery. We got a brownie, a Carmel bar, and coconut macaroons. Everything was very tasty!

My husband and I stopped at The Warehouse for a coffee and their little display case caught our eye. The sweet gal behind the counter said her husband is the baker and makes all the treats. We got the Ube Cheesecake because it was the last one. When we got back to the condo and took our first bite, we were in heaven! Not too sweet, sometimes hard to achieve with ube. It was a lovely, light cheesecake with a delicious crust that we ate a bite at a time, and finished it off the same evening. Highly recommend! read more

This a great little bakery in the Warehouse. It has a Mexican - Hawaiian fusion vibe - likely because the owner is from TJ. The employee who helped us was so nice. She told us all about the store including the awesome sprinkle bar for your cupcakes. We opted for a piece of banana bread, and it was amazing. Probably the best I have ever had. Soft and delicious. I emailed Alfred a week and a half before needing a cake for my daughters birthday, and boy did he deliver! I sent him a photo of what I wanted and asked him to add his own twist on it. He was so easy to communicate with and his work is so awesome. I am so glad I found him! The day of pick up was a breeze, he was able to meet me an hour earlier then I originally asked. Unbelievable. Best brownie I've ever hand. Wonderful cookies. The cheesecakes are real stars, the consistency, the flavor, the presentation. Not too sweet, reasonably priced. We hired Alfred for the second time, the first time for our wedding and this time for our gender reveal party. My wife and I enjoyed our wedding cake so much that we had to have Alfred create our gender reveal cake. Alfred was easy to work, always prompt in replying to our messages and delivered on time for our party and was able to lend us a cake stand to display our cake for our party. Alfred was recommended to us through our caterer, Yonemura Sushi, and did an amazing job with the desserts for our wedding reception. My husband and I had no interest in a cake, so Alfred recommended an assortment of fruit tarts which we loved. He was very easy to work with to set everything up, and then on the day of the wedding he went above and beyond, including creme brulee, chocolate covered strawberries, and other treats in addition to our fruit tarts! I sadly didn't even get to try everything because it was all gobbled up so quickly by our guests, but that just goes to show how delicious everything must have been. Awesome cake and cream puffs! We contacted Alfred with less than a month from our wedding date and he was able to pull it off for us and it was amazing. Everyone LOVED the cream puffs. We ordered chocolate, vanilla and lilikoi. They looked and tasted amazing. The cake topped it all off. We ordered a two tier with topper and flowers and I left the design up to Alfred and we couldn't have been happier with the result. I celebrated my 1 month anniversary (Honeymoon) in Kauai back in late October and had a small ceremony and wanted an individual cake for my husband and I to celebrate. I found Sugar skull on yelp and Alfred was super nice, responsive and accommodating. When I received the cake for our dinner it was the most perfect cake i have ever seen and on top of that it was delicious. Alfred was amazing through the whole process as we had a small complication at the restaurant but Alfred took care of everything and it was perfect. Sugar Skull was a fast and easy way to get a cake! And for a really good price. The owner and operator of the company Alfred Herrera got everything on point! I ordered a cake for my parents 22 anniversary and asked for a 5 tired cake and he delivered! I asked for there to be plumerias and this nice sparkling white shimmer to it. I highly recommend going to him for a cake rather it be for a party anniversary wedding or birthday! We shopped all over Kauai for my daughter's wedding cake. After seeing Alfred's work at a friends wedding and on Facebook, we contacted him. He responded quickly and answered all our questions. He was so easy to work with, he has numerous flavors to choose from and worked with my daughter to get her dream wedding cake, a 2 tiered square chocolate cake with chocolate orange cream filling. He delivered it to the venue and set everything up beautifully. The cake was delicious, I really mean DELICIOUS, and was completely devoured at the reception.
